With the year drawing to a close and The Rise of Skywalker just weeks away, everyone is starting to get festive for various reasons, and it would be wonderful to share a card exchange (and small tangible gifts optional) with the amazing Reylo family.  :)

Registration begins: November 13, 2019

Registration ends: November 30, 2019

Exchange begins: December 1, 2019

How to join:

Fill out *this survey*, providing your contact information: Tumblr screen name, name, and address. Then you are good to go. 

How it works:

During registration, the Google form results are collected. After the registration deadline, all info will be put into a PDF file to be sent out to everyone participating. Only those who responded will have access to the information. Upon receiving the email with details, please verify that everything is correct, and if there are any mistakes, contact this blog ASAP. The final (revised as needed) list will be sent out on December 2 at 7:00pm GMT. Once the names are handed out, everything is up to you to decide.

I know it sounds lame, but I want to thank the reylos. I've received three holiday cards in the mail this year - all were from the Reylo card exchange.

Without the card exchange, I wouldn't have any cards at all. So it means a lot to me to have some. Plus it's been super fun to see each card! Thanks for making my holiday a little brighter.

So my Christmas cards are probably gonna be late. Got everything ready to go ready to mail for everyone on my list... And realized I don’t have stamps. 

Can someone help a me out? I signed up for a Reylo holiday card exchange, and I remember confirming my address with the organizer and now I cannot find the original post about it or the message. I received a very, very lovely card (like top tier beautiful Reylo caliber of gloriousness) today from @thewayofthesith that’s now decorating my fridge with it’s hella awesomeness - BTW thank you so much! So I don’t wanna leave my person hanging, I don’t even know who they are yet, and gotta get on this exchange, but I need the info! Where can I get the info!?

Grad student Rey (accidentally) enlists intimidating Professor Solo to deter unwanted advances by Hux.  Endearing, self deprecating and at times, a relatable, inner monologue of Rey pairs nicely with unapologetic Ben, whose super power is to unnerve stressed, grad students, but seems to hold an inexplicable soft spot for Rey.

Here’s a secret about me: RomComs are a guilty pleasure of mine ... and this Reylo reads like a RomCom.  Checks every box in the fake relationship and holidays tropes with a satisfying dose of the Solo Family Feels.  

Look No Further (Part 1 of the  another look series) by @thewayofthetrashcompactor​

Angsty take on the trope, it takes a little while for Kylo/Ben and Rey to warm up to each other, both being rather guarded.  I really liked how they were both portrayed in this, their tentativeness towards each other gave it a bit of a somber feel.  After a Thanksgiving at the Solos where they felt more of a sense of belonging than either would admit, a sense of hope for unexpected possibilities begins to emerge.  Part 2 in the series is up now and serves as an interlude between Ben and Rey back at college.  The author’s notes imply there is more to come in this series and I’m looking forward to the progression between these two as they begin to build trust in each other and themselves.  

Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart by FoxesDance 

VERY Explicit.  Sick of Leia nagging’s, Ben hires Rey to make the Solo Holiday dinner memorably awkward by playing his dinner guest from hell girlfriend.  Rey really ups the ante.  Cringe worthy at times (for the Solos and the reader), but a comical and steamy addition to the trope.
