I needed an adult Jermaine design for…reasons that will become evident soon enough but for now I figured I would share the mockup.
His design is influenced by three sources 1) His original basketball jersey outfit. 2) Guan (shout out to @writerkatsblog for the wonderful idea of Jermaine being trained by Guan) and 3) Afro Samurai (I’ve always loved the animation in that show, especially on the hair)
kinda old but here's a lil line up for a Reverse AU that i have where the (more relevant) Heylin members are Xiaolin dragons + Chase is their old, tired adoptive dad/mentor who has been through some shit 🥲
And I have finished this new drawing of my evil Jill. It's not the best thing I've done, but so many things have happened these days to draw a little, it encourages me qwq
Within the AUs that have been created in Xiaolin Showdown, one of the most popular was Reverse! AU. Created by @c0njidraws
Where the characters reverse roles with each other, including Jack Spicer with Chase Young. reverse! Jack is quite an evil Lord Heylin. More than a warrior, he still has that air of evil genius. In this case, he is an alchemist.
Reverse! Jill is just as evil as Jack, she shares some of her memories and personal goals. But Jill can't transform into a powerful dragon, and she knows that Jack doesn't trust her.
In this world, Jill tries to get the powerful Lao Mang Lone Soup to become stronger and more independent. Which leads her to work secretly and create alliances with the wrong people. But she occasionally spends girly time with Megan, like drinking tea or reading a book.

It's the year of the Wooden Dragon sooo how about some Jermaine headcanons? In whichever AU you wanna choose
I’ll do the Reversing Mirror AU because it’s the one on my mind.
After he…contains Omi he ends up starting his own temple that he creates/builds out of trees and vines woven together to create this really intricate structure that is half-temple-half-forest. By that point he is well known enough to actually end up with some students that purposely track him down for training and it becomes a legitimate temple that essentially replaces the Xiaolin Temple that Omi destroyed.
Its pretty rough going and at the start he actually doesn’t plan to take on students/sends them to Guan’s temple instead but he does eventually take on students and gets a bit more confident as time goes on to take on more.
An additional headcanon: Jermaine never planned to go the ‘immortal’ route but after everything with Omi he feels like he doesn’t have much of a choice. Guan’s explanation of ‘I choose not to die’ isn’t actually much help at all but Jermaine does eventually obtain immortality in his own way by meditating on the longevity of the plants he is so in tune with and communing with the most ancient ones to learn from them.
