misc. remedial squad headcanons pt. 1
-camie is, initially, the only one that can drive. obviously. she is the oldest.
-owns a custom convertible because inasa is a Very Large Boy(tm) and she wants to make sure her bestie is comfy, y'know???
-katsuki picks up at some point that shoto likes riding around with the gang, mostly as a way to avoid going home, and fucking dammit, he's getting soft. katsuki is the next to get his license. says it's because it's practical for hero work. camie sees right through him.
-shoto absolutely CAN dress himself, but simply does not. he enjoys the simple freedom of picking clothes he likes, even if they don't match.
-inasa has a completely reasonable sense of fashion, except for his Very Loud graphic print tees.
-katsuki is miserable the entire time, please, save him. can he not pick a single friend with decent fashion.
-camie likes fruity gums and fruity lip gloss and fruity perfumes.
-will ONLY offer katsuki cinnamon hard candies when he asks for a piece of gum. she doesn't even like them, for fucks sake woman.
-shoto is so smitten with the tiny soda bottle shaped chapstick camie gives him. so smitten. the squad buys him every dorky little novelty chapstick they see and he hooks them onto his backpack and wallet and jacket zippers and....
-inasa WILL stop to pet every dog they see. every single one. this simply encourages shoto to stop for every cat they see. (they learn to leave an extra hour early for everything. they're still late 80% of the time)

For a minute their I thought Bakugou was going to replace Kirishima but bringing in Inasa was very good for the story flow. The Shouto and Eri parallels are making me cry
yeah i like giving other relevant characters screentime in my ship fics in general. like that’s how real life is right the whole world isn’t just you and whoever you’re seeing. and remedial squad is really fun as a concept. so it’s always nice when the plot lends itself to it. but bakugou was definitely readying herself to tap in when inasa beat her to it!
the shouto eri thing crept up on me unplanned but as soon as i started writing the lothian segment i kept coming up against it & just ran with it. kind of the beauty of aus i think! shifting genders and settings a little really made me notice the obvious parallels between eri’s situation and the todoroki kids’. but poor eri is always so disenfranchised in contrast to shouto- i think shouto has that faraway sense of ‘this could have been me’, sure, but more consciously ‘is this what it started like for my mother’.

Baldur's Gate 3 Companions
Finally pulled myself away from the game to finish drawing these cuties~ I didn't think that BG3 was going to suck me in quite so much, but I've had the game for a month and have logged over 100 hours in it already WHOOPS. (I very rarely play games for >100hrs so this is impressive for me ok)

misc. remedial squad headcanons pt. 2
camie is a master at conning the boys into doing things for her. like putty in her hands.
this is never more evident than when they go to the carnival.
camie is 100% capable of winning her own prizes. she knows this. the boys know this. but they fold like a lawn chair when she asks them to get her that ugly elephant plushie.
katsuki absolutely puts his foot down and refuses. until she challenges him with a 'oooooh, you're righhhttt~ too hard for you. shoulda just asked my prince~' and turns to look for shoto. or, far more likely, just goes 'okay~' and shrugs and then proceeds to ask shoto at every. single. stall. does she want anything there? no. but it's the principle of the thing.
shoto, sweetheart that he is, is delighted to help camie win silly little prizes. he doesn't quite get why this is supposed to be challenging to a bunch of hero students, but he can knock down a few bottles in the name of friendship. he thinks ochako would like that little piggy plush anyway. or maybe the backdraft one for izuku?
katsuki just meets camie's faux-innocence with a scowl that screams 'you're an evil, conniving bitch and i hate you' before getting right to shoving shoto out of the way to pop more balloons or whatever the game of choice is.
inasa LOVES a friendly competitive game. he LIVES for that shit. where there is a self-imposed bakugo challenge, there is an inasa, ready to hype the fuck outta his friends and compete alongside them.
shoto is only aware half of the time that they're competing. (a decent amount of his interactions with katsuki sound like a competition. he's started tuning them out)
camie ends the night with a zillion prizes and doesn't have to carry a single one of them~
she pulls this all the time and the boys are aware, somewhere in their minds, what she's doing. that has not stopped them once. the competitive nature & friendly bonding causes a sort of tunnel vision. hero students are goal oriented, after all....at the end of the day, it's a good time for everyone and they dont mind. they will absolutely do it again in two weeks when they meet up again.
in return for not having to carry a damn thing all night, she buys them snacks and feeds them fried dough and takoyaki and corn dogs between grand battles
