"Where do they get the milk in Redwall?"
"It's plant milk."
"But they don't have cows?"
"It's from plants."
"SO IS IT MADE FROM MOUSE MILK???"

I can’t believe I forgot to post this!
Salamandastron had a metric ton of Martin possession shenanigans in it, that man was BUSY during that book for real 😭 I’m not entirely happy with the Ghost Martin [tm] design but it’s just a shitpost so I guess it ain’t that deep :P
Shoutouts to Dingeye and Thura just vibing in the background

Sorry Humblewood, but your lack of otters means that Bloomburrow is the superior High-Fantasy Redwall setting.

As I recall, in Redwall, Martin shows little to no interest or skill in poetry during his life
Then he dies and his ghost suddenly becomes enamored with sending all his messages in a poem.
This seems strange until you remember Martin's best friend Gonff DID show interest and skill in poetry during his life.
My theory is that either
1: the ghosts of Martin and Gonff interact with each other and the latter gives poetry tips to the former, OR
2: Gonff frequently sends messages to the people of Redwall while impersonating Martin
