how about red trying to get used to physical contact and trying to resist the urge to cut people who come to close? for example giving someone her coat so she can't cut them since her knives are hidden in it ૮ ˶ˆ ﻌ ˆ˶ ა
Coat is on the chair, across the room. Knives are in the coat, on the chair. Nothing to hold, nothing to cut, nothing to fidget with. Feels empty, exposed. Feels wrong.
"Hey, Red? Deep breath."
Frostleaf stands, watching. Gently, softly, in the way she does. Breath like she says. In, hold, out. Rest. In, hold. Out, rest.
Frostleaf holds out a hand. Hand for you to take, to touch, without a knife, without danger. This is wrong. This feels wrong.
Take her hand. It's cold. Slowly, guide her, towards your face. Bad. Wrong. Danger danger danger danger -
Contact.
Her fingers are cold, sharp against your cheek.
Other hand twitches. Do not cut do not cut do not cut.
Frostleaf sniffs, looking at you. Is she crying? She's crying. She's blurry now. Are you crying?
Assuming you don't expect me to talk for FOREVER, because trust me, I WILL, I'll just go over some basics for me))
* I think Red was 100% thinking he was going to be this super duper cool Tallest like Miyuki, who goes into battle, starts wars, makes treaties and all this. But come time to actually become the Tallest, we get what we see more in canon which is basically; they do nothing and they have no power. Red would take this SO very hard, especially considering he'll never walk again or have his thumb again. And what he imagined to be an honorable title was just, soul-crushingly not.
* I think he was absolutely devastated when Miyuki died, RIP
* Pur and him are dating, obvi, unless I'm shipping other OCs with Red lmao
* I think Red never really overcame the ghost pains. I think he has a lot of phantom touches, especially when he's overwhelmed.
* He is absolutely a wallflower and awkward, I think he kinda, became better at speaking and doing social things when he became a Tallest, but as an Elite, ya boi was an awkward bby.
* You wouldn't think he's very affectionate, but he is. He would be veryyy very physically affection, very accommodating. The works.
ETF is NOT canon for me and that is NOT MY RED. I REFUSE TO THINK HE'D JUST FLY INTO A FLORPUS HOLE, MY MANS WOULD LITERALLY NEVER ABSOLUTELY NEVER AND THEY MADE HIM SO DUMB - okok ...So no. I take NOTHING of ETF seriously jkhsh
Thank you for asking me something equally nice stranger! I'm always open to just, rambling. Stars know I do that in my head enough lmao
"is anyone gonna draw my blorbo" I ask, before doodling them myself
Anyway Everhood is really good!! You should play it if you like suffering with catharsis at the end!! I love Red a lot they are so cute, it's a shame Pink despises me so much.
I saw someone say today that Begin Again should've been cut from Red and swapped for Better Man and I thought about how much you'd hate this lol
WHAT. how DARE. tell me you don't understand red without telling me! this is offensive to me on a personal level lol *cries* red cannot function the way it does without begin again! better man is a good song, but it's part of 90% of everything else happening on the record, whereas begin again is ESSENTIAL, it's everything! because without it you don't have the exhale! red HAS to have its catharsis, its moment of healing, the heart of it moving on and hoping! she thought all love ever does is hurt, and then she begins to recover and she rediscovers herself, remembering that love still exists and can still be found and can still begin again! it would be like saying 1989 doesn't need clean - you lose the record's journey and thesis without it. the full circle beauty of the story is also the way begin again can wrap into state of grace. this is the worthwhile fight! love is always igniting and being lost and found and made anew. it can break and burn and end, it can be the golden age of something good and right and real. it's sad, beautiful, tragic, but that beautiful part is imperative. red isn't only a singular shade of heartbreak, it's every different facet dancing in the light. the story isn't complete without that concluding moment of hope.
The Red Wizard, was a human witch who died in early humanity. Which went when she went to hell, it was the hell that was still full of grieving recently fallen angels. Most humans died. The Red Wizard however, gave up her humanity in exchange for the magic to keep herself, and those around her safe. The first buildings of Hell City, actually come from the residents she protected.
She also helped train the shadow wizard, and enabled him to become one with darkness cuz who needs to keep their soul intact~
