I love those thick and heavy breathing hoses.

Bath time!
Sneak peek while the rest of the kit has yet to be cleaned, but here's a before and after on an incredibly scarce 1930's MSA Kops-Type Oxygen Rebreather Facepiece that @bureau-of-mines recently won
The rubber is in astonishingly minty condition despite the age of the mask and the layer of a barn filth on it
However the lenses have unfortunately become 'crazed'.
They aren't broken, but the layer of celluloid and glue between the two panes of glass has deteriorated, creating the 'shattered' look despite the glass being fully intact. This is a common problem with older pre-WWII gas masks and it sadly can't be repaired.
All the same, we're both incredibly excited to have this mask, considering the only other example we know of belongs to atemschutzddr.de, whose curator has since passed away.
More to come later once I get around to cleaning the rest of the kit.

Dangerous Sumomo
I haven’t panted a picture with colored pencil in a loooong time. But my friend すもものこ colors her divers with them all the time and I wanted to get that same look for her. I found a texture on freepik.com that looks really nice in that regard.
