OKAY now when Christine runs here it looks an awful lot, to me, like she's trying to pull Erik off stage with her
Tumblr media
SHE TAKES HIS HAND.
When she shouts "No!" It's because she's just realized that Erik is very much in danger and she wants to get him out of there?!
ARE Y'ALL SEEING THIS?! ARE YOU SEEING THIS?

Every once in a while I put on a Phantom boot in the background while, say, writing fanfiction, and end up watching a performance that causes me to feel things and make noises.

So I'm trying to get a handle on Renfield's handwriting, because what is real life, I thought maybe I could make a font of it. BUT the handwriting on his name tag (first and last meetings) and on the blood pitcher (stares and meeting) is clearly different. Granted there isn't a single visible letter in common, but I get a distinct feeling that these were written by different people. We also have a sample of his handwriting from his notebook that's under newspaper when he's circling the hospital photo at Mulates. It's on the other side of the paper, so I flipped it horizontally and did some very pathetic attempts at making it better visible, but I still can't read it. Gold something 1,293? Bug Box? What do the numbers 62, 60, 60 mean? Help? So now I wonder, maybe that's Rebecca's handwriting on the pitcher??

heatwave thoughts. Skiving off work with ted cause it’s simply too hot outside. Turning all the fans on, spraying him with the garden hose (bonus points if it makes his white t-shirt all wet 😁😁🤭🤭).
I don't know if the heatwave broke there or not, it's still here in the U.S. but I love this idea and also playing in water when you're an adult feels like being a kid, and Ted is all about it. Let's gooo!
---
Relationship: Ted Lasso x reader
Warnings: Lust and light smut ahead
---
This heat was just not conducive for the team to practice. It was too hot, too dangerous, and Rebecca and the coaching team agreed that it was time for a day off.
So when Ted waltzed back through the door of your shared flat, you were more than happy to see his face again.
You wore as little as you could. The window a/c unit you had wasn't cutting it. A lightweight tank top and your underwear would have to do for now.
While Teddy was gone this morning you'd put all the fans you could find on full blast, your feet propped up on the coffee table with a glass of iced sun tea in your hand.
As soon as he walked in the door, he was sweating.
"Good golly, Miss Molly! It's miserable out there!" he shouts over the whir of the fans.
"I know! So far the bedroom is fairly cool but the rest of the house is sweltering!" you shout back. "Want some tea?"
He looks at you and nods, stripping off his polo, then his khakis left only in his boxer briefs and t-shirt where he sits next to you on the couch.
"No one better come to the door today," you joke, taking a sip of te a.
Ted looks at the two of you, practically matching in your white tops and navy blue underwear.
"Yeah but we look like one of them old-school Gap commercials, too" he jokes, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
When you pop up to refill your tea, he taps your bottom.
"I don't mind the view though," he shouts from the living room, making you chuckle as you bring the pitcher into the living room.
"I don't either there, UPS man," you joke with a wink, making him tilt his head.
"You're carrying a big package there," you add to explain it, and he chuckles and blushes.
As you enjoy the fans and tea, you get an idea.
"I think I know another way we can beat the heat!"
Ted takes a sip. "Yeah? How's that?"
You hold your hand out to get him off the couch and lead him to the garden.
"Garden hose."
Ted laughs. "What, like we're kids again? You gonna spray me with that?"
When you twist the dial on the spigot, you aim the hose at yourself first, drenching yourself in the cool water.
"Ohhhhh yeah, this is where it's at!" you shout, running it through your hair.
Ted watches the water soak your white tank top, your nipples reacting to the cold temperature. It's like a slow-motion 80s hair metal music video, watching you douse yourself with the hose.
Before he can react anymore, uh, physically to what he's seeing, you're aiming the hose at him.
"Ready, Teddy?" you ask with a smile, and he looks down, his cock tenting his underwear. Well, the cold water will help.
"Hit me, baby!" he shouts, and your thumb hovers the hole of the hose and sprays him.
And oh, Lord. You didn't know that wet, white t-shirts worked on men like it does on women. You can see his pecs, his chest hair, his tummy, all sticking to the white undershirt.
Was this cool water really working? Or are you heating up for another reason?
"Here, I have an idea..."
You attach the hose to a sprinkler attachment and lay it down on the lawn, letting the two of your stand in the stream of water as it moves.
Ted holds his hand out and pulls you to his chest, your bodies wet and sticky, but smiling as it drips off your noses and hair. You lean in to kiss him.
"Mmm, garden water," you smile to his lips. "Always tastes fresher than any other water."
Ted laughs, leaning his lips to your neck and sucking the water off there.
"Yeah, yeah it sure does."
His hands run down your body, over your tight nipples, down your hips and then to your ass. Your hands take their own journey across his broad shoulders and chest.
"You like this?" you whisper and he nods, kissing the water on your neck again.
"Mmm, it's the perfect way to beat the heat, darlin'..."
...
After frolicking in the garden, Ted walks you to your bedroom -- the only cool room in the house -- and strips you of your wet clothes, while he does the same.
You pull each other into bed, under the covers, enjoying the chill of the room while your bodies tangle in the sheets to make heat of your own.
---
Ha! This was so fun! So much fun. Ted would so play in the garden hose, and be all about it. I loved this so much. Thank you so much for the prompt, friend!

Any “Ted Lasso” fans looking for something to tide them over until the new season premieres? And “the bear” fans looking a dynamic where two people have an unexplainable connection, tension, and palpable chemistry as we wait for season 2?
Well, you should watch Pitch!
If you haven’t seen Pitch, it’s this phenomenal and magical show that premiered in 2016 and only lasted one season. It’s a fictional show about the first female baseball player in the MLB and it was a show way ahead of it’s time.
Like, chef’s kiss shippers, y’all know how we spiral about how Sydney was a fan of Carmy’s, but didn’t want to let it show. And he like…becomes a fan of hers??? Well, that’s Ginny and Mike for you. As a kid, Ginny idolized Mike, and then gets to work with him (he’s a catcher and the captain of the team and she’s the pitcher.) Still carries his rookie card and had his poster on his wall when she was younger.
And Mike becomes a fan of her!
Both of them try to play it cool because they truly admire each other professionally and it shows, but their chemistry pops off the screen.
And Ginny is so damn good at all of this (and both not!). She’s a really good pitcher and is charming and knows how to juggle many thing, but we see what the pressure does to get and how it manifests and why it does. And we get it. She’s so smart and funny, but real! She doesn’t feel like a character, but a person with real flaws.
And you see how layered Mike is behind all of the bravado. He’s a walking human disaster, but you love him because he does try his best and is so supportive of Ginny!
Like I’m not going to even touch on everything because you have to experience this firsthand to get it!
(Ginny/Mike are called bawson. This isn’t confirmation as to whether or not the show hints at them or that they’re canon, but rather, the chemistry was just there and you’ll ship it regardless of the show’s stance. Lol)
And ted lasso fans, if you like tedbecca, you’ll like love bawson. But that’s not my sell to you guys, it’s about the relationships in this show. About how it’s not all or nothing and people are allowed to grow, change, and redeem themselves. How people work to get over past trauma and that everyone isn’t secretly out to get you—sometimes if you give them a chance, they can surprise you. It’s about mental health and the toll it takes. How we juggle responsibilities and deal with controversies. The old v the new and whether they have to work against one another or can work together.
The seasoned veteran and the hot shot new guy. Your allies at work and found family. The things we carry ourselves either because we have to or we feel that we’d burdened others.
And there’s more sports play here, but in a way that won’t bore you. Mike and Ginny talking on the pitcher’s mound and Mike giving her speeches. Or ginny taking control of shit because she can save herself.
Think of the strong badass women we see in Sydney, Rebecca, and Keeley and you have that in Ginny. Mike isn’t as grumpy as Roy, but he’s like a mix of Roy and Jamie. Lol.
If you’re one of my followers or mutuals and you trust my taste, DEFINITELY check this out. There are some shows I’m unsure of how people will receive, but almost everyone who has seen this show fucking loves it and are still heartbroken about it’s cancellation, including myself. People still literally reference this show for best shows cancelled too early, one of the best sports shows despite one season, and articles have been written yearly about how great and ahead of it’s time “pitch” was.
Check out the ten glorious eps on Hulu and tell me if I’ve steered you wrong or not.

Have you any video of Hugh Panaro and Rebeca Pitcher?
I personally do not, but I know it exists! It's also old enough that I imagine you could get it pretty easily from a trader. (There's also the title song here, but I'm guessing you've found that already.)

Poll: Which NINE female Resident Evil characters would make the best baseball team?
Tumblr media
Obviously I had to use the Twilight baseball gif at some point. Right?
Anyway, let's build a baseball team! Yes, this will leave three people on the bench but like... whatever.
Also, positions will be assigned based on percentage of votes. Any ties will be broken with my usual method.
First Place: Pitcher
Second Place: Catcher
Third Place: Shortstop
Fourth Place: Center Field
Fifth Place: Third Base
Sixth Place: First Base
Seventh Place: Second Base
Eighth Place: Left Field
Ninth Place: Right Field
Batting rotation will be the opposite with 9th place going first and so on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Winners will go on to face the winners of the male poll so make sure to vote in both!

Ok y'all, so...here's a rough-draft kinda attempt at a fic based on the first part of a prompt by @my-little-wraithlings about Rebbeca and Renfield having sex to get him comfortable with intimacy again and it being awkward. (I might follow up with a part 2 later or I might not. I should probably post this on AO3 sometime too but *shrugs*.) I've never written anything at all smutty before so...here goes nothing. It gets a bit shippy in places because I do like them as more than friends. I'm a die-hard hopeless romantic so I suspect any attempt at smut is gonna end up kinda couplesy from me, especially on a first attempt. That deviates from the prompt a bit but I tried to reel it in more or less.
Rebecca and Robert just stare at one another for a while.
"Right so. What do we...how do we start?" He finally asks.
"I mean you have um...done this before right?"
"Yes. I just..."
They both laugh nervously.
"Yeah, no. I know what you mean."
"Um. I guess we should probably be naked."
"Oh, yes. Right." Robert pulls his sweater over his head and folds it before undressing the rest of the way. He sets everything neatly on the bedside table. Rebecca just lets her clothes fall to the side of the bed haphazardly. Robert picks them up and begins folding them.
Rebecca frowns a little but lets him set them aside. For a guy whose apartment is as chaotic as it is, he can actually be kind of a neat-freak when it comes to making sure everything is in its place. It's probably fine. Everything is probably fine. She sits down on the bed. He's looking at her now. Like he's waiting for something.
"You okay, dude?"
"Yeah. I think so. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I dunno, you're kinda...freezing up on me."
"Right. Yeah. Sorry."
They lie side by side on the bed, facing one another. Rebecca leans forward a little and kisses him. This is so weird. Not bad, but definitely weird. Nice weird? He kisses her back easily, following her lead. His lips are slightly open, like an invitation, so Rebecca flicks her tongue against the inside of his mouth.
The kiss deepens and Rebecca finds herself leaning over him, shifting to be on top of him. She rolls her hips, getting into it. Robert's hands are by his sides. He's barely moving.
Rebecca leans back up, giving him space. "We don't have to do this, if it's too weird or you don't feel like it or whatever. Y'know?
Robert frowns in confusion, "Do...you not want to do this anymore?"
"No I do." Rebecca lets her eyes wander over the man underneath her. "I definitely do."
Robert smiles a little.
"You just seemed...I dunno I mean you don't seem very...into it, I guess. So. Y'know. We could always just watch bad tv and throw popcorn at the screen like normal or whatever."
"I'm fine." Robert assures her.
"Okay so...um...maybe we should take a step back? What...I mean...shit this is awkward. How can this be...less weird?"
"Did I do something wrong?" His voice isn't outwardly quiet or nervous but it's flat and toneless and his eyes are doing the...the fucking thing.
"Shit. Fuck. No, you didn't do anything wrong. That's...the whole point is for you to get comfortable with this stuff so like...what makes you comfortable?"
He sits up and folds his knees close to his chest. He's quiet for a moment. "I don't know. I mean if I knew..."
"Right. Okay. So what should we avoid doing?" Rebecca tries.
"Um...nothing too intense? I mean we still have the pitcher in the fridge if we really need it but I definitely would prefer to avoid that. I guess if this is really about getting me comfortable it'd be best to avoid pain in general...definitely no blood." He's in his own little world at this point, blissfully unaware of the look Rebecca is staring at him with. He's smiling slightly.
"Shit. Okay. Now I think I need a minute." She says when it seems like he's done talking. She takes a few deep breaths. This is...this is raising questions that she doesn't really want answered. She's starting to worry that this is answering questions she doesn't really want answered.
When she's feeling a little more steady she says, "Why don't I try something and you can tell me what you think?"
He nods and leans back again. She maneuvers herself over him and leans down to kiss him again. "Kissing alright?" She double checks.
"Yeah."
She kisses him gently, starting at his mouth and moving down along his jaw, lifting back up and pressing kisses against his chest, running her hands across his body, watching for reactions she can go off of.
Certain motions get a soft smile that definitely seems positive. For example, a wavelike motion pressing their bodies together. She doubles down on that and he whimpers slightly. She's about to ask if it's a good noise or a bad noise (If it's a bad noise she is going to feel so, so guilty about the feelings it's giving her) when he asks, slightly breathlessly "Is it alright if I move too?"
"Yeah" Rebecca nods, "Yeah of course"
They roll against one another and smile, making noises somewhere between panting and nervous or relieved laughter.
They should take it slow, tonight, obviously, not go all the way.
Hesitantly, Rebecca moves her hand down between them and presses against him. The noise he makes is so sudden and wounded that she immediately pulls back. "Still okay?"
"Very." He nods a little. Oh. Okay. She returns her hand to its place and strokes him, it's a long, steady motion, then back up, pressing at a place just beneath the head that draws out more of those not-quite-hurt whimpering sounds.
"Can I?" He asks. She's not sure exactly what he's asking but-
"Yeah." His own hand runs over her body and down between her legs, running his fingers in gentle circles. He finds her clit and her own motions stutter. She forces herself to focus, to not stop moving. His own movements barely waver, even as his breath comes in shorter and shorter gasps, and he's wriggling against the pillows.
Everything is rushing inside her now and Rebecca twitches against him.
He's relentless now, latched on to her reactions and she's not sure how it happens but she's half moved half fallen off of him back beside him. She reaches out for him again but before she can touch him she's lost in a hot sliding rush of sensation.
"Shit" She says when she's more or less recovered and reaches for him again.
He falls back onto the pillows, face contorting as Rebecca returns to the motions. He's...whispering something.
"Still okay?" She checks.
He nods, eyes closed, and Rebecca steadies her grip, setting a slightly faster pace, spreading a bit of precum over him to ease the friction.
She actually sees the way his face completely relaxes and slackens before she feels the warm sticky feeling spurt over her hand.
She lets go and lays down on his chest, listening as his heart-beat returns to normal. He nuzzles against her, hiding his face in the crook of her shoulder and she runs a hand up and down along his back.
"You're so warm," he says, voice content, and soft and reverent and trembling slightly.
Her clean hand combs through his hair. "So...that go okay?"
He nods against her, still snuggled close.
"This is the best, though." He admits.
"What, cuddling?"
Another nod.
"Okay, great. Then let's cuddle the shit out of you."
He laughs softly and she maneuvers them into a slightly more comfortable position.

I know a lot of actors have played Christine phantom and Raoul in different productions around Europe, but which ones have been in the us and uk/ other Europe productions?
I think you're asking for which actors (that have played Phantom, Christine, and Raoul, because if we include supporting cast and ensemble members I'll be here forever) have been in the US productions AND a production in the UK or elsewhere in Europe (and maybe I'll extend it to any other non-US production)? Well...
Michael Crawford - originated the role of the Phantom on the West End and Broadway
Grant Norman - played the Phantom in the US tour and then on the West End
Marcus Lovett - played the Phantom on Broadway and then, almost 20 years later, on the West End
Brad Little - played Raoul on Broadway, the Phantom in the US tour, and the Phantom in two World Tours
Ian Jon Bourg - understudied as the Phantom in the US tour and later in Las Vegas and was principal Phantom in Hamburg, Stuttgart, and Essen, and then understudied the Phantom again in two World Tours
Cris Groenendaal - played the Phantom on Broadway and Toronto
Laird Mackintosh - played Raoul and understudied the Phantom in Toronto, and then understudied the Phantom on Broadway
David Gaschen - played the Phantom in Basel and Hamburg and then understudied the same role on Broadway and the US tour
Peter Joback - played the Phantom on the West End, Broadway, and the Stockholm revival
Michael Gillis - really reaching but he was Raoul in Phantom's US tour, then understudied the Phantom in the Love Never Dies US tour, and then understudied as both Raoul and the Phantom in the most recent Phantom World Tour
Sarah Brightman - originated the role of Christine on the West End and Broadway
Patti Cohenour - played Christine on Broadway and Toronto
Luann Aronson - played Christine on Broadway and the Canadian tour (Far East Tour)
Kimilee Bryant - played Christine in Toronto, Basel, and the US tour and then understudied as Christine on Broadway (as well as Carlotta and Madame Giry)
Elizabeth Southard - played Christine in Toronto, on Broadway, and in the US tour
Rebecca Pitcher - played Christine in the US tour, Broadway, and the World Tour
Marni Raab - played Christine in the US tour, Broadway, and the World Tour
Sierra Boggess - played Christine in Las Vegas, then Christine in London's Love Never Dies, then Christine in the RAH concert performed in London, then on Broadway (twice), and would have been in the Paris production
Elizabeth Welch - understudied as Christine in the US tour and Broadway and was principal Christine in Oberhausen
Sarah Bakker - understudied Christine in the World Tour and Broadway
Kaley Ann Voorhees - played Christine on Broadway and the World Tour
Rachel Anne Moore - reaching again, but played Carlotta in Hamburg, Christine in Love Never Dies in Hamburg and the US tour, and understudied Carlotta on Broadway
Meghan Picerno - played Christine in the World Tour and Broadway as well as in the Love Never Dies US tour
Steve Barton - originated the role of Raoul on the West End and Broadway, and played the Phantom as the understudy on the West End and as principal on Broadway
Michael Shawn Lewis - played Raoul in Antwerp, on Broadway, in Stuttgart, and in the US tour
There's probably more and some big names that I'm missing, but you can likely get a sense of the trends here. It's actually quite uncommon for a principal actor to have been in both London and Broadway (probably due to Equity), and even being in a European production is not too common. (I think this is somewhat less the case for ensemble members.) The amount of actors who crossed over from the UK to another European production, or who were in multiple European productions, is much higher I believe. What we do see a lot of are actors who were in the US and who also performed in Toronto, a Canadian tour, or the World tour. But there are definitely exceptions too, and then the really fun ones like Ian Jon Bourg, who has just been all over.
