as much as I appreciate the modern horror shooter psychological goo-horror direction resident evil has taken, I WAS kinda really sorta hoping that the Rose DLC would take a left turn and end up being a send-up of games 4-6, with Ethan’s daughter doing sick flips off a motorcycle while shooting a laser-sniper rifle at the big eye-shaped weak points on a whale-shaped zombie giant after HALO jumping (on the motorcycle) out of an exploding cargoplane with the ghost of Wesker screaming at her about power and how she should use the metamycete to become a god. Swarms of fighter jets and flying BOWs duke it out in the skies around them. The Merchant is there.

Rose doesn't know what's going on, but she'll gladly celebrate anyway!
