Alcina growled under her breath with her arms crossed. Her keen eyes observed Wesker with great scrutiny while he tampered with a heavy lock that led into one of his old labs. They were several hundred miles from the village, and though they were hidden in the woods, Alcina didn't feel comfortable being too far from home. In fact, this was the first time in decades she had been outside of the village's borders. She started to become homesick, thinking about her daughters until her dislike for Wesker began to creep back up. His scent alone mad her angry. Whatever he was, he wasn't a normal man.

Alcina couldn't for the life of her understand why Mother Miranda required the services of such a vile creature. Her research into the Raccoon City incident prior to meeting him was all Alcina needed to know regarding the kind of character Wesker was. Not that she was above obliterating an entire city, but Alcina prided herself on having grace and tact despite being a monster. The fact he was a man made it worse.

"What do you hope to gain from a partnership with Miranda?" Alcina cleared her throat, not bothering to hide her obvious distaste for her accomplice.

"I merely wish to share resources with your benefactor. Nothing more." Wesker said as a matter of fact. He unfastened the last of the locks, and sighed in relief. "Once we retrieve what Miranda needs, I guarantee you and I will not be working together again when we return to the village."

"Oh, is that so?" Alcina mocked. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you assume you're more powerful than I am given your tone. Perhaps you'd do well to stay silent for the remainder of our partnership. A man of your statue seems to value shutting up."

Wesker smirked, looking up at his colleague. "I think we both know the true answer to your statement when it comes to our power. I think it's wise we stay on good terms. For now."

Alcina wanted nothing more than to slap him. To unleash her claws and rip his face off. The thought combed over her mind like a soft blanket, and Alcina relished in the fantasy. She made a fist, and shoved Wesker to the side and made her way into the lab.

"I can't believe I'm stuck working with you..." Alcina bitterly stated. She made a grimace when glancing around the lab space, not appreciating the tackiness it had.

"Me thinks the big lady in white doth protest too much." Wesker snickered under his breath. He could feel her predatory eyes on him, and felt a swell of pride in his chest knowing she knew better than to strike him down.

"You're making my idiotic brother Heisenberg look like a saint right now, I hope you're aware." Alcina stated bitterly.

"Intriguing as that may be, we have work to do now." Wesker said, and gestured toward a large tube in the center of the room, growing a B.O.W. the likes of which had Alcina looking onward with awe.
