So I am planning that dcla consent video in my head atm. And I won't say I will talk about all of these things in order, but it's basically stuff I want to bring up.
I wanna start with discussing how these shows like to use "surprise kissing". Which basically means "I didn't know, or were prepared, for you to kiss me but I am fine with it". With this, we can start to see what was actually consentual and what was not.
Violetta did not know Leon was gonna kiss her in their first kiss, BUT she very much liked it and sees it as a happy memory. It became consentual.
Violetta technically kissed Leon without his consent in 3x06, since he was asleep. However, in this case it was to mimic the way it happens in fairytales, and I like the trope of the princess waking up the prince instead of reverse. Also, it did cause Leon to wake up, and HE does not seem to have minded this. And if we'd elaborate on this we'd have to dig in the whole fairytale kissing people sleeping problem. In the end: We'll let this slide because it was supposed to be a romantic fairytale moment and everyone involved was ok with it. But, please do not kiss sleeping people irl.
I don't think Yam was that prepared that Ramiro would kiss her in S1, but when she saw the situation he was in, she went from "WHAT are you doing?! >:(" to "Oh! I see you need to get out of this situation! Okay!"
Maggie randomly kissed Rey on several occasions without him being prepared, just to disguise what they were actually doing. I don't know if he was that ok with it but he let it slide.
Naty was quite shook when Maxi kissed her in 2x71 but she liked it seemingly and then wanted him to do it again so.
Angie and Germán have "surprise kissed" each other several times and like. Germán at least liked it. He's like a sim, he got kissed once and got in love and so now when you don't control him he's gonna go kiss the other sim automatically without you wanting to
Ludmila and Federico's first kiss is very unclear
I mean when Leon kissed Roxy he did it mid sentence of her trying to talk and tbh out of context he was kind of pushy when she tried to talk herself OUT of the situation, but that whole scene I feel like we should pass
And then there's moment where people are non-consentual and it leads to nothing.
Beto kissed a random lady, and he thought it was Jackie?? But HE WASN'T EVEN DATING JACKIE TO BEGIN WITH so even if it was her it would've been just as strange
Jade kisses Germán without his consent on multiple occasions. This does not lead to very much other than them being awkward and moving on from it.
I will discuss Benicio later. I don't know why Ámbar keeps forgiving him for assaulting her...
I will then proceed to discuss the cases on non-con kisses that affected the plot somehow. Starting with Andrea kissing Maxi without his consent in S1. Yeah, remember Andrea? She had 2 actresses for some reason. Anyway, she was played as completely delusional and kissed Maxi without his consent, and then HE got the blame for it. After discussing that case, I will be like "so that was just one case... but there's a BIGGER ONE" and then BAM, we cut to the Yo Soy Asi duet. I will have my big fair share about Diego here. Maybe I can go tease the Diego supremacists who thinks he's perfect and that "Violetta is not the victim" in S2. Also I'm gonna question Pablo as a teacher for even trying to enforce them kissing.
When I am done with the Diego rant, which will be glorious, we shall move over to Matteo. This will be epic fun. Especially since I know many Lutteo shippers LIKE the scene you know I will talk about. So I will be like "I know many would see this more as a surprise kiss... but it's not. I have heard the argument that 'Luna didn't pull away from him so she must not have been that uncomfortable'. So this is why I disagree with that:"
With Matteo done, I can just slip in about Emilia. "Now when this happened to him, these were the consequences". Emilia definitely needs to be held accountable for it and I am glad the show DID hold her accountable for it. But, it also feels weird that, when Matteo does it to a girl it's romantic and when a girl does it against him she gets held accountable immediately. I know it was different situations but STILL.
We can then move over to Michel. I will discuss how out of all three of Luna's love interests, only ONE of them have had their first kiss with her consentually.
Then we can go to Eric and how Nina and Luna sort of bond over being kissed without their consent ??? and continue to ship each other with the respective boy????????
Yes... then I will mention Felipe Diaz. Fuck that guy I hope Ludmila and Naty kissed each other in front of him while flipping him off and then threw him into the river.
And then Benicio. Of course <3 I will make sure to also mention the kiss at Dia de los muertos. That was a curious case where the kiss was intented to be consentual and then BECAME non-consentual when she realized who she kissed. Good job Benny boy.
Then I guess I'll just take things I've missed. Maybe I can mention Tomas' "Your kiss with Leon was my kiss" even if it doesn't have to do much with consent but rather just because I wanna complain about it

okay first off you need to know that i read this while waking up from a nap and my first thought was that it was indeed december and then i realized it was. november. and i was very confused and in a "what year is it" state of mind.
also okay second of all im not condemning any of them to a slimy fate. unless we're talking about ascended astarion who can indeed fuck off into the sea. however, if i had to pick without condemning anyone to the sea...
at first i was going to say oh, id never date astarion irl, and then i remembered that until i was in my mid twenties and id met my wife, id take it as a personal challenge to flirt my way into being loved by everyone and so that unlocked some memories of me flirting with guys who were very much like astarion except less charming and who didn't have a secret tender side they kept hidden. also im adding another checkmark to the "do i want astarion's gender or do i want to believe im also worthy of love" column because of that soooooooooooo my therapist will be sending you a thank you note.
also, in the end, im choosing wyll. listen to me, wyll makes puns and teaches children how to fence and is nobility and is courageous and compassionate and basically the heroic figure of my dreams. wyll is the perfect boyfriend/husband. with his idealism and my inability to shut the fuck up, we could singlehandedly politically reform baldur's gate and heal each other's trauma surrounding our parents and their expectations.
im also not like romantically attracted to ramiro despite what you all think of me!!!! im into him being into his canonical boat boyfriend!!!!! im not into him as a person!!! im very much attracted to the man who plays him!!! but im not into ramiro like that, im much more into ramiro's happiness with a certain gentleman.

Ok, but what is it with the general fact that multiple couples in the simulation have one party be way more drawn to another person. It's not just Maura not feeling Daniel but Eyk instead, it's Angel and Krester (tho it got better with Ramiro towards the end), Clemence and Jerome... Lucien also felt drawn to Ling Yi but she is entirely into Olek. The idea that they are the couples irl, and got willfully seperated and rearranged, seems so sick and twisted and I can't think of a reason of why so far (other than psychopathic pleasure of the one in charge, so supposedly Ciaran)? Or maybe Ramiro and Lucien pine after Angel and Clemence irl and made some sort of deal with Ciaran?
I think Maura had reasons (whatever if they are fair or not) but the thing is that Ciaran is controlling the simulation, so maybe it was Ciaran's idea to separate the couples and see how they would react while with different people. If truly is something beyond memory that inspires love, to say an example.
I don't think any of these people signed up for the current simulation. Like, look at Eyk's traumatic backstory or Ling Yi's own horrible situation or Jeróme's backstory. Nobody would sign up for that.
I think Olek and Ling Yi are probably the most obvious couple of the whole bunch. Like, zero doubt that they are together outside the simulation.
With the other couples is more difficult to say. I would say some of them maybe were never together or they are not currently. Lucien comes to my mind because he and Cleménce don't seem to have much together as a couple, maybe he pined for her, but she is instantly more drawn to Jeróme and vice versa. Same case with Ramiro and Ángel, I think they are broken up outside the simulation and Ángel is obviously with Krester because he gets memory of his face quite quickly.
With Maura, Eyk and Daniel is even more complicated because aside from being the central, well, triangle. We also have the possibility that Daniel is not real or dead, or that Eyk himself is dead. There is also the fact that the novel, The Awakening by Kate Choplin gets a close up in Maura's room. That novel is about a woman who has an affair with a man younger than her husband to escape her family life. So... With which one she had the affair with? Or it could symbolic if he is not real. That her creating Daniel to make herself happy is her affair when she has someone in the real world.

100% agree with your theory. I also think that Angel and Krester's real life connection could be represented by their scars in the 1899 simulation. The body remembers. Angel and Ramiro give me very strong ex-lovers-who-had-a-bad-break-up vibes. It would make more sense if they were exes who still care about each other IRL - and maybe Ramiro is still not over it.
^ Yep, that's the same vibe I felt, anon (regarding the "ex-lovers-who-had-a-bad-break-up statement"). Like, this relationship triangle is definitely very complicated and toxic in any constellation. All of the characters involved have grey-grey personalities and apparently a natural habit to ignore red flags.
What I grasped from the 1899 sim:
Ramiro / Ángel -> Ramiro definitely loves Ángel, I'd say. Ramiro is surely no saint either (pun intended). His love for Ángel almost feels like an obsession. I mean, he has literally killed a man for this love. Ángel on the other hand... is an opportunist, cheater, narcissist. Whereas Ramiro seems to expect loyalty and absolute commitment, which Ángel can't give him (granted, the shithead is very honest about it), but deep-down he cares about Ramiro. Therefore I can totally see them being ex-lovers in a "reality" or past sims.
Krester / Ángel -> They definitely yearn for each other. There's also an obsession existent on Ángel's behalf. I mean, he basically lay down on his chaise longue and started to create a Jack Dawson-esque sketch after he saw the guy for a brief two seconds in the dining room. Nonetheless Ángel is cheating on Ramiro. One can only speculate at this point where his true feelings and loyalties lie. Krester on the other hand suppresses his sexuality, has deeply-rooted mommy issues, is surrounded and grown into drastic religious beliefs that clash with his innermost desires and nature, which I think is why he can only "use" Ángel (for lack of a better word), but not indulge too deeply into these feelings towards him and form a loyal connection.
I'm not sure about the scars, though, because *bigger spoiler*
apparently these are gone in the 2099 sim. I agree, though, these might be a representation of the trauma they went through in "reality" (if there's a reality to begin with).

every day i think about the fact that tomas was like a thousand times worse than diego because diego was an antagonist. diego in s2 did some awful shit i'm not even gonna try to justify but? what else do you expect from an antagonist? plus i want to believe that as self absorbed and arrogant as he was he would have been WAY more respectful if it wasn't for the whole deal with ludmila
tomas on the other hand has absolutely no excuse. he pulled some of the worst shit in this show and none of that was portrayed as bad which is wayyy more fucked up than diego being a bad guy and doing bad things
also diego was so fun to watch, he was a clown and owned it, diego saw a couple and as the bi mess he is decided he would fuck things up for fun because he thought both of them were hot, tomas wishes he were him. tomas wishes he could have what leon and diego had
not to mention in the end diego actually loved and respected violetta, francesca AND ludmila, something tomas spectacularly failed to do

Leonetta headcanons?
GLADLY
• german truly cares about leon and sometimes vilu will walk in on her dad looking fondly at her bf while he's not looking, but as soon as german notices her he tries to act all tough again before giving up after some time
• leon once asked olga to teach him how to cook violetta's favorite cake and she's been hogging him every time he visits since then, the bright side is that he knows how to cook a lot of things now
• it's ramallo who has to distract her long enough so leon can sneak into vilu's room every time, it makes violetta laugh and while she still can't get as much alone time with him as she wants, seeing how her family loves him makes her really happy
• actually when they truly want to be alone they go to leon's room because his mom is way more chill about them (and she adores violetta too)
• some time after s3 they came back to the studio just the two of them to visit angie and the other professors, and it was during one of angie's classes, when she saw them she asked them to sing for her students
• leon went to the piano and started playing voy por ti and it sent violetta back to that one time they sang it during that same class all these years ago and she's just. overwhelmed with love and everything that happened since then, most of all she's overwhelmed by the fact that singing with leon will always make her feel safe and loved
• i think if they ever get married it wouldn't be before a LONG time because violetta is probably kinda fed up with marriages thanks to german, she wants to take her time even though she knows she'll spend her life with leon
• vilu was the third person leon ever came out to, and while he didn't make a huge deal out of it, it was the first time it ever truly mattered to him. the first person to know was diego, and he simply knew because they once started making out so he obviously had a feeling he wasn't straight, the second one was andres because leon really needed to talk about the diego thing with someone
• but with violetta, he told her because it was an important part of him he wanted to share with her, and she was SO supportive once she realized what he was saying
• she probably bought him so much bi merch and was truly happy about it so if leon's mom once comes into his room to see 3 bi flags and 2 rainbow ones he just lets that happen
• (his mom is really supportive too)
• he also tells vilu about the diego thing and she makes fun of him for that because sure he "couldn't stand him"
• sometimes they talk about boys together and she has to pretend she's not lowkey jealous when he tells her he thinks that one dancer in the mv of her last song is kinda cute
• but generally speaking they worked on their jealousy a lot, and while they will sometimes pout or be a bit more affectionate than usual if someone is flirting with the other, they matured a lot and are handling that way better now (plus working in this industry and having to get used to the distance helped a lot with their communication skills)
• also while i don't think they'd ever kiss in public they're still that annoying pda couple who are always cuddling on the couch while you're talking to them
i could go for more but!! i think that's enough! thank you for the ask, leonetta is a huge comfort ship for me so thinking about that made me really happy 💕

I was kicked out of daycare at age 3 because I had ”caused too much trouble”. Apparently our teacher had put some matches on the table because they were gonna use them, and we were instructed to NOT touch them. So naturally I did touch them and I lit a curtain on fire. They wanted to excuse this as an accident if it weren’t for the fact that I had been opening the front door and run outside to the parking lot, escaped through a window at naptime, and bit a teacher I hated so hard that she started bleeding. There was also some incidents where I ran with knives or scissors, although no one got hurt, but now they just could not take it anymore.
I just remember waiting in the teacher’s lounge as my mom was inside the principal’s office, and I really needed to pee. And I could have just walked over to the potty standing in the restroom next door but I decided to make my mean teachers suffer, so I put my pants down and peed on their couch. I covered it with a pillow.
A minute later my mom came out and we left. I never returned but those bitches got what they deserved. I wish I could have seen their reactions.

Long story short, I’m adopted by her but due to some safety bullshit or whatever she didn’t want people to know that, because she has a lot of power and if people knew she had a daughter that could have lead to danger for me. I remember when my niece was a baby and I had a terrible day at school before coming over to visit, and my sister was busy in the kitchen and I just… vented to my niece as she laid on her playpen. And since that day, I for whatever reason felt like she was the best listener to my troubles. It was perfect, I could talk out about my problems and she just listened. Then I could cuddle with her to feel better. I used to offer to change her diapers just so we could be alone for a moment and I could just… vent.
Now she’s all grown up and I’m listening to all of her vents and bringing comfort and cuddles 💓 I guess I returned the favor.

“Yo ya no estoy aquí, yo voy camino a La Paloma”, canta Jorge Drexler.
La ida a La Paloma empezó el lunes, cuando recibo la invitación de Mateo. "Juli, el domingo vamos a La Paloma con la murga. Nos vamos de mañana, playa, coso y cantamos de noche. Tas pa irle?" (mensaje textual) No lo dudé y varias veces, ese día y los siguientes, me encontré pensando “qué lindo plan el del domingo”.
El sábado de noche hice una torta marmolada para compartir, con especial cariño para María, ya que me había contado que le hacía acordar a las meriendas compartidas del jardín. Parece que Charo, su mamá, hacía una que estaba bien buena.
La salida estaba prevista para el domingo, 9 de la mañana. La gente fue llegando al club despacito y en silencio, con restos de maquillaje de la noche anterior. Habían tenido tres tablados.
9.30 h, arrancamos. En el camino fuimos levantando a algunos y algunas integrantes y acompañantes. El viaje fue de mucho mate, comida que iba circulando, siestas, lectura y alguna charla con divertidas anécdotas de viejos carnavales.
Parada técnica y casi obligada cuando se va a Rocha, Pan de azúcar. Panadería, baño, puchos y estirar las patitas.
Llegamos a La Paloma y nos encontramos con Schubert y Carina, quienes nos recibieron muy amablemente y nos acompañaron al lugar donde nos íbamos a quedar. Allí ya estaba instalada la gente de la murga Metele que son pasteles. Rápidamente se prendió el fuego y una comitiva que parecía muy organizada preparó un asado que, dicho sea de paso, estaba muy rico.
Durante la tarde, algunos y algunas playa, otros y otras, nos instalamos a charlar en la sombra. De a poco fueron desapareciendo Pasteles y sucedió lo que tanto venían anunciando. Tremenda guerra de agua que vi desde la vip (la bodega del ómnibus de La Mojigata, donde estaban guardados los trajes y la utilería). Ahí, sabía que iba a estar a salvo. Hubo un herido, se terminó el juego, ganó La Mojigata.
Salió excursión a la heladería Popi, clásico de La Paloma. A la vuelta, un rato de descanso entre desodorantes, perfumes, más comida y piruetas arriesgadas de María. Se hizo la hora de aprontarse para la actuación.
El Teatro de Verano de La Paloma estaba llenito de gente. Fabi y Mateo presentan a la murga y se escucha un aplauso cerrado cuando La Mojigata se manifiesta en contra de lo que propone el plebiscito "Vivir sin miedo”. Empieza la actuación y noto que Mateo se ríe con Joaquín (para variar). Se había puesto el gorro equivocado. Termina la presentación y noto que María hace un movimiento extraño y no llega a ubicarse en el lugar que le corresponde. Se había enganchado su gorro con Diego. Pasaron cosas con los gorros.
La actuación fue preciosa, la gente la disfrutó. Hubo muchos aplausos, risas y abrazos. Me quedo con dos cosas: el “hondo como pozo de ruta 10” que metió Nico y con la gente acompañando a la murga casi hasta el ómnibus cantando la bajada. Me emocionó.
La vuelta fue silenciosa. Solo se escuchaba algún ronquido.
Me queda agradecer a Mateo, por dejarme, una vez más, vivir un poquito de su historia y a la murga entera, por hacerme sentir como en casa. Dejan muchas cosas que luego dan pa´hablar.
Extrañé al Flaco Ramiro, a los niños, a las niñas, a Martina y Agustina.
