y’all are dropping the most obscure ships like i have never heard of this one. or maybe i’m just stupid and it’s its own thing in the fandom that i completely ignored
they had good relations so i don’t see anything wrong with it
russia x serbia
the only thing that i think about when i hear this ship is that conversion therapy fic
canada x ukraine
i won’t say i hate it, because i don’t, and because that implies that i rant about it every day and go into canada x ukraine posts commenting “i like the artwork BUT…”. (which i don’t.)
but, i don’t ship it. simple as that. i don’t care about this ship nor do i interact with anything that has this ship in it. however, it gets really hard when your favorite character is ukraine and 99% percent of fics that have ukraine in them ship her with canada. (or, it’s mostly a “him,” but whatever)
their relations in my headcanons? i don’t know. i guess they know each other and they’re friends, but i think iryna(ukraine) would be really bitter of the west in general, especially right now.

i think this is a relatively safe and basic ship. they have good relations now so i don’t see the problem. not my cup of tea since they have a father-daughter relationship in my hc, but i think it’s pretty neat i don’t know

before this i didn’t now villers-bretonneux existed… that is so cool! i love ships based on historical events/history in general.

my sister likes this ship. they have good relations, they’re a duo of sorts. they’re best friends in my hc!!!

Since I dropped the JJK manga and sorted out some mangas I no longer wanted (gave them to my bestie and told her to do whatever she wanted with them. She said she would sell some of them and take me out to dinner) I started to be more selective with the mangas I buy. Like I look at the manga section at my local bookstore and just give up and leave if they don't have volumes I need and don't even try looking at anything else.
I'm avoiding the romance section almost completely because het-romance no longer hits the same. Boy's Love I no longer look at because it usually is just the same stuff (like why do most of the covers look like they are from the hentai/erotik section? I just want fluff and not smut!)
Girl's Love is one of the few I still look at but it's almost non-existent so why even bother?
There are currently three series I'm still reading:
The Apothecary Diaries (this series scratches a part of my brain just in the right way)
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun
I'm in love with the Villainess
I still have some on my TBR pile, so things could change.

wdym by cringe culture? Honestly curious
by cringe culture i mean when people hate and harass others’ drawings/headcanons by calling it “cringe” instead of actually explaining to them what is wrong with it.
for example, shipping. i hate it when people say “you can’t ship stuff because it’s cringe”. (i don’t mean the people who say that shipping makes them uncomfortable. i mean the people who are complete assholes to the people who do). i’ve seen people get death threats just because they ship. like it’s not even thirdunion it’s just shipping in general it’s so weird
if something makes you uncomfortable/you find it offensive, i think it would be more productive to, idk, kindly educate someone (not condescendingly, kindly) instead of calling them cringe and hating on them?? idk i just hate it when people are mean to each other
