Anora is a hardworking, diligent, but ultimately laid back and kindhearted alien who specializes in Earth gastronomy. He has a past with Pleakley when they were both trying to get into the UFG (and while working at it too) since they were both specialists for the same planet.

They did have a slow burn will they won't they fling before Pleakley was sent to Earth and decided to stay there. Afterwards, communications were limited because of distance, and because Anora still had a formal job to worry about.

Eventually, Anora received permission to visit Earth for field research. Before settling on a permanent location, he decided to visit the town his old colleague was currently living in - just for fun, but, to be honest, he did miss them.

Anora is still unsure whether to stay there or not - whether Pleakley really wants him in their day-to-day life (at least until Anora’s job is done… unless he manages to stay on the planet permanently as well). I mean, they're the reason he's there to begin with - so it wouldn't make sense to stay if their relationship won't go anywhere.

Things are looking up, though! They get along perfectly fine after all this time and are clearly very comfortable in the other's presence. And to be honest, despite being laid back and calm in nature, Anora is also really fucking weird. The more time you spend with him the easier it is to go Oh yeah of course they're a thing.
