I like the argument of "gender isn't real" from a certain crowd of bigot because hard realism is a fundamentally stupid philosophical stance to take.

Even mathematical realism, for instance, makes a lot of interesting claims, but the idea that math is real and merely discovered hits a hard wall once one starts talking about mathematical concepts which cannot exist in anything identifiable as our reality yet which can be modeled mathematically. That kind of conceptual realism raises real problems in literal thermodynamics and quantum mechanics, nevermind more general forms of incompleteness as it pertains to information theory.

It's easy (and correct) to say social constructs are real insofar as they have impacts on material things, but on a fundamental level, the ability of "non-real" things to impact the very real, material world seems pretty well baked in to the cosmos and without it, the very act of thought itself violates causality.

But yeah sure you back science or whatever, dipshit.
