2020 for most people was a bleak, anxiety induced year, but with all the uncertainty we faced, there was one thing we could certainly hold on to: “God is good”. 

We will never get the world in a perfect state, but we have a perfect God who is compassionate and gracious to our pain. He knows the effects of our broken world so He calls us out to face the negativity with bravery, not because we can but because of the purpose we have in Him.”I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” John 16:33 

In 2021, no one knows what troubles we will face but may we see God’s goodness in each distressing situation.

I thank God that there is always purpose in pain. James 1:2 encourages us to view our struggles with grace. “Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith produces perseverance“. Trials are meant to draw us closer to Him because they make us dependent on His love. This year, with whatever pain we face, I pray that we take a step closer to experience the Lord’s love. 

GO HIGHER UP, COME FURTHER IN to the Most High this year. Have a blessed 2021.

Meeting me where I am today. Earlier I took my emotions to the gym and unleashed (understatement), using it as fuel that ended up nourishing me. That’s how you fall forward. You use your disadvantage as an advantage. Take whatever negative energy you’re harboring and direct it into your craft, your creativity, your work, what have you. Some of our hardest times offer us the biggest opportunities. Turn those emotions into material. Who knows, maybe the gain ends up being bigger than the loss.
