still having fun with it, splat 3 is my first one, only thing i really find frustrating is salmon run since it's just tooo hard but multiplayer feels really fun now especially with the new weapons we just got, so im thinkin nah
Salmon Run absolutely amped up the difficulty, and it was so noticeable in the Profreshional/EVP Ranks D:
I used to be Profreshional 999 in Splatoon 2, not EVERY shift but Pro 400-600 was fairly easy for me to maintain back in the day, and Splatoon 3 definitely threw me for a loop LMAO;;
I do not envy people trying to learn everything there is to learn from here, but I'm happy to help folks where I can with it! And I wish you luck if you continue to play Salmon Run!

EVP doesn't demote for inactive players (i think) but it DOES reset to the average 20 after every shift... which basically means people have like TWO DAYS to get to EVP 999 in each shift... lmao
no there is not a seperate salmometer for different king salmonid but i have a bot in my own discord server that tells me what king salmonid is going to be present that shift. incredibly useful as it also tells me the weapons and map so i can avoid it if it's completely dogshit

Day 16 : Salmon Run
Dear Diary,
I messed up badly yesterday but luckily Gramps look over this matter. Unfortunately, Coco had not. She thought I have no common sense in the face of danger. Which was why I ended up some Salmon Run shifts with her. I thought I was doomed.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not like I don’t get along with her, it’s just that her rank in Grizzco is Profreshional 999, which means Hazard Level Max constantly. I couldn’t cope with how fast the Salmonids are coming to the shore, the ridiculous amount of eggs we got to collect and teammates got splatted from right to left even after reviving.
It was exhausting in the first few rounds, with weapons I’m not used to wield and Boss Salmonids that somehow refused to be splatted. Eventually, we got amazing luck as soon as the weapon rotation change. No more heavy Dynamo Rollers and ink-reducing Exploshers!

Had some stupid silly fun hauling eggs with the discord crew for five hours tonight, we got Hazard Level MAX right out the gate and for a while things went pretty well until they didn’t
110 eggs and then we crew wiped at the last second u.u
Getting tired of failing at Hazard Level MAX we decided to reset our ranks and game the system so Ember could reach Profreshional 999, and things got silly
Then Vanun decided to try and do nothing for funsies...
Two low tides and a normal tide and he succeeded

set eight! getting into the chargers now. opted not to consider scoped variants, as the splat charger testing i did a while back basically showed me i prefer having visibility over range. that, and charge holding is always fun.

Finally uploaded the screenshots of me reaching Profreshional 999 in Freelance Salmon Run for the very first time.
This was the all-Grizzco weapon rotation from during the Splatocalypse, so it’s not the greatest feat... But in my defense it was at Ruins of Ark Polaris which is a pretty tough stage, and with Freelance you never know what kinda teammates you’re gonna get :’D So it’s still something!
