Remembering Hope in hopelessness

It's an emotionally draining season/year. I've came to a point where i'm tired and if i can, i don't want to feel anymore. This week was yet another emotionally draining week. Many things happened which eventually make me burst and has successfully make me go into escape mode.

During prayermeet, Nata shared a vision. There's a box that is filled to the brim, sealed and packed away. Then another hand came and took the box. Reopened it, emptied it and the box was then filled again. Nata shared that some of us put our sins, our hurts and shame in that box. We sealed it and put it at one corner of our heart, hoping to not open it as we are afraid to open and revisit it again.

Past hurts

Having to bring up areas of insecurities, friendships and identity. These are areas where i was hurt me quite a bit and i took awhile to understand and make sense of it. Felt like God is bringing it up again to deepen certain understanding and to help me find healing again.

Present hurts

The passing of my mum has pretty much hurt and tore my heart into pieces. For the longest of time, even up till now, i couldn't make sense of who i am. This season of grief had cause me to feel very lost and broken. There's a need for emotional healing but yet there's fear to face these areas that needs healing.

Honestly, reflecting on this wasn't the easiest. I feel defeated, hopeless, hurt and many other feelings. Choosing to open this box wasn't easy. Opening this box comes with many fears and uncertainties. I cannot proclaim this yet but in my surrender today, i pray that one day i can claim that God is still good. With His goodness, He will carry my hands, my hurts and fears to light (This is the hope i'm praying to have till He bring victory).
