whenever my hyperfixation cycles back round to something i've hyperfixated on before i like to go back and reread my favourite fics, yk just to get me back into it if that makes sense? like for mcyt its these two fics that are the complete opposite ends of the spectrum but they're some of my favourite series ever yk,, its 'that college au i never thought i'd write' by Eatgreass on ao3 and 'empires changeling AU' by willothe_wisp also on ao3,, which put together makes me realise how uncreative the series titles are 💀 they no way actually reflect the writing style i swear! at least they're descriptive

y’all, tumblr has an image limit of 10 pictures. getting mad at me and saying “oh so no [x] flag? 🤔😐” or the passive aggressive “i love getting left out of pride designs” isn’t productive or helpful, especially since 9 times out of 10 i take requests for other flags, which i add in reblogs and then link to the original post for ease of access. im doing my best with what i’ve got, and i’d appreciate a modicum of patience and courtesy while i work within the limits of this website making art for you all to enjoy for free

Ngl I get super annoyed if someone makes a post unrebloggable not because it got horribly misinterpreted or because it was a personal thing that wasn’t supposed to spread or because it got hateful assholes on it, but solely because it got popular, especially if it’s still under 10k notes. Unreadable notifications is the price you pay for fame. A good portion of us have gone through it, have had a post randomly get 50k or 100k and suffered the consequences. It’s just the tumblr ecosystem. By making it unrebloggable, you have interfered with the natural balance of the tumblring and tbh you are a coward. Accept the price of fame like the rest of us or just delete the original post as god (or rather david karp) intended

So, Ecosia is incorporating AI chat into their search page toolbar, like a lot of search engines are now, and we're having thoughts about it. Those thoughts mainly being "this is a bad idea that will spread misinformation more quickly, same as the other AI chats in other places do."

You can contact Ecosia through the "Contact Us" tab on their main website. Here's the message I sent them;

Hello! Unfortunately, as a longterm user of Ecosia, I think I have to step away from this search engine now. AI chat technology should not be implemented anywhere near informational search features, as AGIs are an unreliable way to retrieve facts, and often generate falsehoods in the pursuit of unique sentence structure. Incorporating this feature into or around a search engine, even just as a chat, has a great risk spreading misinformation around the internet. Many people do not understand how AGIs function and trust them in the same way that they trust general search features. Thank you for reading this email and have a good day.

It's more effective if you take my general message and write your own instead of copy-pasting, but still. Maybe we can start sending in some feedback to discourage search engines from dropping AI into their tools willy-nilly like this? Yeah.
