In all seriousness, I really need to write an analysis of Rei Ayanami and sexual abuse, because the implications were something I really noticed in End of Evangelion and I think that really adds an important layer to her character.

Though it makes the fucking merch incredibly baffling. Both Asuka and Rei are survivors of some form of childhood sexual abuse/assault, which are incredibly important parts of their characters and which are portrayed very respectfully (in my personal opinion) and then like half the merch is “which underage sa victim who's still got an incredibly unhealthy relationship with their trauma and selves do you wanna fuck nasty?” like????
