He combined familiarness with the unknown, his iddilic lanscapes are contrasted with surreal figures of angels, gods, folk creatures, and personifications.

Made this little thing out of some trash and junk basically

I am very proud of it

Items used:

Peice of plastic left over from a press on nail set (pink thing beside it is also a peice of that for reference)

Clear gel nail polish

3 flecks of blue glitter

2 different metallic sharpies (silver and bronze)

Dry erase marker

Snippet of string from a clothing tag

#and also a fuckton of sanding with a nail file #shaping the half-dried gel polish with my finger and the pink plastic peice #having to very very carefully dab tiny beads of clear polish over the glitter bits to make them look like entire gems #<- i screwed up doing that several times btw and had to scrape it off with a peice of wire #a lot of coats of sharpie. then dry erase marker. then nail polish. then sharpie again.#very pain in the ass #also hand reveal i guess???#patchy sculpts??? makes??? idk this isn't a drawing or a ramble so #miniature #patchy irl #<- i guess?

i feel like if I had to compare her last two albums to OG pop taylor albums, midnights (standard edition) would be most similar to a much darker 1989, whereas ttpd (side a) feels more like lover

#super polished cohesive every lyric is there for a reason and fits perfectly #vs more indie longer more experimental wordier #the former is very revealing but also hides a lot #the latter bares everything but what’s unique to ttpd is that a lot of the pain is subtextual (and then clarified by the anthology or the #bonus tracks imo)#midnights #1989 #lover #ttpd

Trying out nail polish for the first time since my childhood and why didn't anybody tell me it takes over an hour for it to completely dry without a polish dryer?

There are only so few times I can reapply and play the waiting-guessing game again without accidentally feking up the polish. Plz, have mercy!

At least it isn't nail gel... that would have been a way worse wait without a UV nail lamp.
