A week has passed and I’m still buzzing with happiness and gratitude from the @salemnightfaire. {If you missed it, you have another chance today and tomorrow! I’m not vending, but so many incredible artists are.} 🎃 This event is so close to my heart. My deepest thanks to @ryanmrray and @mattwmurray of @blackveiltattoo, who work so hard to bring this otherworld to life for us each October. 🌾 Thank you to the moon and back to all of you who came by to support my work &or share kind words. It is truly special to meet so many of you in person, during Samhaintide, in as magical of a setting as Pioneer Village. I will forever cherish every interaction I was blessed with. This was by far the most pieces I’ve ever had for an in-person event, and I’m stunned and overjoyed that each one found a home. You all are the best! 🕸 Thank you so much to my friends and family who showed up to support me, to @puffstuffmagazine and Elvira for keeping morale sky-high in our corner of the village, to @billsafi for much needed laughs and talks, and to @poisonappleprintshop, my all-time favorite faire neighbor and ride or die til the bristles fall off the brooms. 🧹 And, of course, a huge thank you to my love @pjstockcrew42, who was the best faire assistant I could’ve hoped for. 🍂 After a year and a half of losing myself to intense loss, trauma, and grief, the love and fulfillment I feel from the Night Faire has propelled me back toward my center more than almost anything else. I’ll never be able to thank all of you enough for your positive impact on my life. I had a few magical post-faire days in Salem with @poisonappleprintshop, but now I’m home and ready to pour all of this energy into creating. Pending Divination Rings are in the works, and pending Pomegranate Pendants are on deck. I also have plans for an upcoming mixed collection of jewels, similar to what I brought to the faire, so that all of you here will have a chance at a similar spread of pieces. Hecate is the greek goddess of magic, witchcraft, the moon, ghosts, necromancy, and sorcery. She is often called the goddess of crossroads and therefore depicted throughout history in triple form, facing all directions yet to be traveled. Her name is derived from the greek word ‘hekatos’ and means ‘worker from afar,’ which alludes to her magical abilities. She is often depicted holding pomegranates, as she assisted Demeter with her search for Persephone in the underworld. Her two torches also allude to this tale.
