I don't even like thinking about toji taking megumis girl. Like, in my mind he's trying to atone 😪

Yes!!! Let’s talk about it!

He loves ‘Gumi so much. He was just having a bit of a ✨ emotional breakdown ✨ during that whole selling him off deal. And personally I was coming off the Shouto train so it hits twice as hard cause he always gets his GF taken by Endeavor or Dabi (sometimes Bakugo), which Dabi makes sense since he HATES Shouto. But post-atonement Enji 😭I totally get the kink though (tbh I kinda like it in reverse 🤭). There’s actually a really GOOD fic I like called U&I with Bully!Megumi and you sleep with Toji to kinda get back at him after finding out he’s been using you. I like the revengeful ones or when it’s a 2-parter and they find out what you did.

BUT I DIGRESS, okay so I got some big brainrot and I was half asleep and started thinking about it and ahh! Plus I didn't post for his birthday so this is like the most slap together, grammarless of my brain rotting (and you brought it about Nonnie, so you gotta take responsibility lol) but:

(SFW) Imagine okay, like a modern AU: Toji is trying to be a better dad after the endless benders after losing his wife. He went from floating from random woman to woman, trying to catch that feeling again like when he was with his first wife. It always devolves into the same thing with him squeezing them dry for every penny he can get before moving on to the next with Megumi in tow. Sometimes it didn’t include Megumi, Toji would leave him alone for weeks to months at a time as he got older, occasionally bringing home some new mom that he’ll eventually abandon at the end of the day or that eventually gets tired of him; tired of both of them because Megumi refused to be nice to anyone Toji brought home.

But it finally hits him to be better, to try to be a good parent. Sadly, it’s too late. Megumi is a teenager now, one year from graduating high school and going to college, where Toji will definitely not have any chance to atone. He doesn’t blame the kid, it’s his own fault.

However, he sees a lot of himself in his son. The apathy that borders depression, the lone wolf attitude, the quietness and independent streak, the very small number of friends (if any, because Megumi NEVER brings anyone over or talks about school at all, usually avoids talking to him in general). He isn’t really sure what to say to the kid, not that he’s figured it all out himself or that Megumi would even listen to him. Indifference was the best he could hope for most of the time.

Then one day, he shows up at home with someone. A girl, even. And you’re cute, way too chipper to be following around his wallflower of a kid. Always entering and leaving with a “Hi, Mr. Fushiguro. Bye, Mr. Fushiguro. Looking good today, Mr. Fushiguro. Love the haircut, Mr. Fushiguro. Rocking that sweater, Mr. Fushiguro. Have a good day, Mr. Fushiguro.”

You seem too good for nobodies like them; and when he teases Megumi with the notion, his son claims you’re just his class partner for this semester, nothing else. But Toji sees how soft he gets around you, the little bit of extra effort he puts in trying to make conversation when you’re over, the blush and grouchy embarrassed complaints he makes whenever Toji tells him to leave his room door open when you guys work on projects in there. The complaints usually get a little quieter given the right laugh from you.

You have a good effect. Megumi seems a little less tense, walking the world with a little less cynicism even though it’s still clearly there. He starts hanging out with two other kids from his school, Megumi claims they’re your friends, not his, but Toji has seen the pink haired boy over twice without you. Overall, you all seem like a really good kids.

One weekend you pop because you and your friends were in the neighborhood and wanted to see if Megumi wanted to join in on whatever you’re doing. Unfortunately, Megumi’s not home, but it gives Toji a small window to prod you a little about your relationship with Megumi. He’s observant enough to notice by now that the two of you like each other but he just wanted to hear it from you, and you make the most darling lovesick face when he asks. As far as he can piece together, you’re not dating officially but the entire world treats you as you are.

When Megumi finds out what happened though. He doesn’t like it, and he makes it clear that the interference was highly unappreciated it. Toji is simply sitting in the kitchen and trying to enjoy his apple, and he’s getting the interrogation treatment by this little gremlin (affectionately) half his size.

“What were the two of you talking about?” “Nothing in particular.” “If you don’t need anything then don’t bother her.” “Why? You don’t want me speaking to her?” “No. She isn’t your type anyway.”

Then, Megumi starts going off on a tangent of why Toji shouldn’t be interested. You’re too young, you're still months off from 18, you don’t have any money for him to leech, and there’s no way you can decide on a movie together with that age gap; 'You’ll kick the bucket 30 years before her' is the meanest one though.

Based on the disrespect, it still looks like Toji has a lot of work to put in but it’s almost cute, in an grouchy, bratty (also affectionately) sea urchin type way that he’s getting so worked up over you. He thinks the kid will combust if he mentions that he does think you’re cute (in an overly energetic bubbly kind of way), and it makes him release a short chuckle as he resists the intrusive thought, which only serves to make Megumi’s frustration even worse.

Normally, he'd get tired at this point and ask if Megumi was done mouthing off yet, but this time it makes him glad to see Megumi getting so worked up over something. It’s a good feeling to know his actions didn’t completely ruin his son, that he didn't completely destroy Megumi's ability to care about life like his former family and the world had once done to him. It makes smile the tiniest bit even as Megumi seems to try to trudge away after making his point. Whatever point there was to be had. The boy is such a chronic overthinking about everything and everyone, including if you’re one of those girls at the school that squeal when they see him pick him up at school on the rare occasion.

“Hey,” Toji calls out to get his attention. “Do you know what you’re doing?” It’s not the best words but it’s the only way to sum up the familiar feelings he gets of his past, right after he left his family, right before he met Megumi’s mom. And after losing her without ever really making the most of everything back then and treasuring the moments together. “It’s hard to find something like that. Don’t do anything you’ll regret.”

He can sense the tension draining from Megumi, the panic and shaky nervousness from seconds ago leaving in the form of drooped shoulders and a soften, mildly confused expression as he looks back at him. Something seems to finally click in that overly worked brain of the younger Fushiguro and he mumbles, “I know.”

And Megumi gets that look again, that quiet one, too caught up in his own head.

"Do I need to make room for a daughter-in-law in that case?" he asks lazily before taking another bite of his apple, the chewing echoing. It's enough to earn some grumbles and a red face. He smirks when the boy quickly decides to hobble back to his room and hide away in embarassment. Like a normal kid.

And Toji thinks that maybe…a small maybe… that maybe they’ve gotten a little closer. If only in that moment. Regardless, he really hopes that the talk is one of those things the school already covered because he really doesn’t want to be responsible for that.

Hi! So, I've read two fics by you now, that both contained Gladiolus giving out massages. I read your headcanon about him having studied massage stuff and exercise science. Who gives Gladio massages when his back is hurting? I don't know if you take prompts but I would definitely love reading something like that. I hope this isn't out a line! Honestly anon I don’t usually take requests but this waslike the purest request so I had to do it! Here’s about 1000 words of Promptio massage fluff with a side of OT4.

Prompto grumbled as Gladio made his last loop around thehotel bed, patting his ass and collapsing on the creaky bed next to him.

“Done already? Why can’t you keep going? It felt so nice!”The blonde whined, gingerly rolling onto his side to face Gladio. His back andarms felt loose and light, just like the day the set out from Insomnia. It wasa far cry from the usual gnarled, tight feeling he got from the recoil of hisguns and sleeping on the ground.

“Prom, I just spent two hours working onyour back and arms. That’s easily more than I’ve ever done for Noct or Iggy,”he said, grabbing a water bottle out of his bag and handing it over to Prompto,“Drink. Plus, I don’t want to overwork your muscles. We all put our bodies undera lot of stress out here, and when I massage the soreness out it makes yourmuscles more sore from being worked on. If I just kept goingand going in one day it would put you in pain more than relax you.”

The blonde hummed around the water bottle, drinking until heknew Gladio wouldn’t pester him about it. “You sure know your stuff, huh?”Gladio shrugged, pulling a pillow close to lay his head down.

“It was pretty much all I studied in Insomnia, after Igraduated high school. If I wasn’t with Noct or training on my own, I wasstudying and learning this stuff. Cause…being healthy is important to me, youknow? And it’s more than just doing pushups and eating green stuff.”

Prompto nodded with a big smile, curling his legs in, “Totally,yeah! So that’s why you’re so good at all this, like, how you justknow what we need to feel better?”

Gladio let his eyes wander, thinking of an explanation, “Well,a lot of that’s just practice. The biggest difference between people is howmuch pressure they like, but it takes a while to really understand what someonewants and needs. You like a pretty moderate amount of pressure, for example.Ignis likes it a little harder than you, and Noct likes it pretty light, but he’sa picky one, the princess. It depends on the day with him.” He yawned then,lying an arm over his eyes. “Man, I’m tired.”

They lied like that in silence for a few minutes, Promptostudying Gladio’s dozing form while he continued to bask in the afterglow. Waita minute, he thought, if Gladio gave them massages then who took care of Gladiowhen his back hurt? Swinging that giant sword around andtaking heavy hits with his shield couldn’t have been easy!

Only one way to find out, right? “What about you, big guy? Youmust like massages if you give them out, right?” Amber eyes slipped open, butthey looked apprehensive.

“Well, I was seeing someone every couple weeks back inInsomnia, but that’s no good now.” He averted his eyes from Prompto’s, “I meanI like them, but I don’t need them. D-don’t worry about it,alright Prom?”

“Come on!” Prompto immediately protested, sitting up toshake the shield’s shoulder, “Roll over for a minute and let me try!”

“Prompto…”

“Please? I’ll be gentle; you’re always going on about how gentle you have to be because—”

“Because muscles are delicate until you get to know them,yeah.” He set the pillow aside, rolling onto his stomach like Promptocommanded, “And you’d better be.”

“Hey, have a little faith in me. I pay attention; I kind ofknow what you do when you massage us,” Prompto said, warming up some of Gladio’slotion as he swung a leg over the shield’s hips, settling over his back. “Justlet me know if anything hurts, alright?” Gladio nodded and Prompto took that asa signal to get to work.

He kept the whole massage pretty gentle, though he didn’t knowwhat Gladio considered ‘harsh’ or ‘gentle’. Just looking at the guy he’dguessed that Gladio would need a lot of pressure and work to relax his muscles,but now he wasn’t so sure. Over the course of the massage he watched the man gofrom stiff as a board to putty in his hands. When he moved off Gladio’s hips tomassage down his arm and through his hands he wasn’t even sure the shield was awake.

Forty minutes later Prompto was out of ideas. How on Eos didGladio come up with enough stuff to keep him in a trance for two hours?Practice did make perfect, he supposed.

The click of the door opening drew him out of his thoughtsand in walked Ignis and Noctis, back from a long workout. Noctis gave him aquiet ‘hey’ before making a beeline for the shower, eager to strip himself ofhis soaked shirt. Ignis, his cheeks still flushed from exertion, took a seat inthe worn armchair next to the bed and gestured to the slumbering shield.

“Giving the masseuse a massage for a change?” He asked, butbefore Prompto had a chance to answer Gladio lifted his head.

“Where ‘m I?” he murmured, rubbing at his eyes beforerolling onto his back, “Wha’ happened?” He asked as his eyes found Prompto’s.

Um, okay, wow, Prompto thought. He’d seen that look on Gladio’s face before, but only when the shieldlet he and Noct double team him one night—

“Did you let Prompto give you a massage and then fallasleep?” Ignis asked, leaning in closer to brush the hair off Gladio’s foreheadand look into his eyes. A little more awareness was starting to filter back in tothe shield’s eyes.

“Ugh, dammit,” Gladio groaned, pulling a pillow over hisface, “I knew I shouldn’t have let you…”

Prompto gasped. “Gladio, was I hurting you? Was it bad? I’msorry—”

Gladio threw the pillow to the side. “N-no, no, it wasn’tbad at all. I just…you know how I was telling you about the different kinds ofpressure people like?” He asked, and the blonde nodded, “Well, you couldmassage me with a feather and I’d be down for the count. I just think it’s kindof…embarrassing…”

Prompto gasped like a kid who’d just been told Christmascame early. “Embarrassing!? Gladio that’s like, really adorable! Why would youever think that?” He emphasized his point by diving down next to Gladio on thebed and pressing kisses onto his collarbone.

“We all have our insecurities.” Ignis answered so he didn’thave to, and Gladio cast him a relieved look in thanks.

“I guess Iggy’s right,” he admitted, and Prompto gave theshield a peck on the lips while his feet swung back and forth in the air, “Thanksfor the massage, Prom; it was great.”

I hope you enjoyed it anon! I had actually staved off one of the boys giving Gladio a massage because in my head I equated lots of muscle = hard to massage, but after a bit of research I found that wasn’t the case! Everyone is different, but some people need just the lightest pressure to relax and I thought it would be cute if Gladio was like that. Thanks for the ask!

Also Gladio’s birthday is in like 2 days so I’m just going to say this is his birthday fic. Happy birthday to our big beautiful shield!!

My family's not big on celebrating parent days, but we do go out for dinners - my mom's bday is a couple days before, so we merge the two ;u;~ Thank you! I'll probably come back with a pile of photos, and be super picky which to instagram, haha. Oh! Good idea with the perfume! I normally don't carry any, but this sounds like a good reason to.

(2/?) Aw, you had to give up your internship? I’m sorry D: but on the bright side, vacation? Would you be able to do the internship another time? In terms of expensiveness, I think HK topped it for me. The livelihood there is super high end and overpriced to me :/ And ikr! I wish it were like that here too, but North America’s just too big and spread out for that unless you lived downtown, but that’s expensive D: In December, one Japan night was 24 degrees celsius ouo;; that’s pretty much summer

yeah, i’m excited for the vacation!! i won’t be able to do an internship until next summer then unfortunately. oooh, i heard kong kong is really nice! but i’ll make sure not to go there until i have money lmao. yeah, the only way walking is fine in north america is if i live in one of the big cities, like nyc. oh my god, in december??? it’s going to be even worse since i’m going in the summer D: i think overall it’s going to be very hot in japan because it’s summer when i’ll be there.

ahhh, even if there’s no magikarp, i’m still excited to eat taiyaki!! omg ok, i’ll make sure to get that ice cream flavor when i’m there :o and that really sucks ): hopefully, you’ll get to come back to japan soon and then you can get the ice cream :D ah yeah, there’s a lot of dollar store items and travel items too and candy. i think most convenience stores are pretty grungy tbh. i visited her last year! but that was before she got a cat sadly ):

and yes!! i want to get a dog and a cat in the future! i suppose there are a few traditional art pieces on display? but i think most people here enjoy modernized art more, like even the buildings and such in the usa are much more modern compared to europe. i guess it’s because the usa hasn’t been a country for as long as european countries, so everything is newer looking. oooh nice!! interactive art is always fun! :D modern art is really beautiful too, but sometimes, i see something like the entire canvas is painted one color with only one stripe down it and i’m like ??? how is this worth 91283472319 dollars???

asdfjkads that’s going to be me. i’m going to spend all my money on the crane machines and win nothing, so let’s hope someone will help me ahah and thank you!! fingers crossed! :’) and i haven’t had any ramen since ): ramen isn’t the healthiest, so i try not to eat it often. ajsdhfalks but you can’t have any right now? and omg so lucky!! all four wow :o well, i didn’t preorder it, but i don’t know which album i want either. maybe R or O? because they all look good in denim, but tae had that lip ring.. and unfortunately, they don’t sell kpop merch in stores anywhere near me /: so i’ll have to order it from amazon if i do buy it! honestly all the concepts are pretty though. jimin’s stage presence vs real life is mind blowing with how he can switch so fast. askdlhfjaj i barely keep up with tae, he’s too perfect and he’s such a sweetheart pluS HIS DOGS AND CAT ARE SO CUTE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

asdf,nasd oh my god i love nct so so so much, like nct dream is my ult boy group favorite, and i’m so sad mark is graduating from the dreamies after this year ): did you see their chain mv? who’s your bias? oh my gosh i’m so excited to hear you like nct alskdjfhalew i really, really, really love taeyeon, like she’s my ult bias, but i also love shinee and blackpink (when will they release a new song)!!! i follow up with those three and nct the most. but i also listen to red velvet, gfriend, twice, kard, day6, wanna one, monsta x, infinite, vixx, astro, and f(x) like when are they coming back ): oh and (g)i-dle!!! i pretty much listen to whatever group that currently makes a comeback, so i know the title songs of most of the kpop groups, but i don’t know each of the members’ names. and i’ve been into kpop since early 2014 :’)

ooooh my god, the taylor swift concert marks the best night of my life, likE I LOVE HER SO MUCH I’VE BEEN A FAN SINCE 2006 AND I CAN’T BELIEVE I FINALLY GOT TO GO TO HER CONCERT!!!! but i got there two hours early for the lineup, and when it started, i sang along for every single song, and when she sang a mashup with long live included, i was over the moon, plus before the concert, i was like oh hey what if she sings the best day because it’s mother’s day tomorrow anD SHE ACTUALLY DID AND I CRIED OMG I GOT SO EMO i was shaking like i tried to get good videos on my phone, but my phone also died and the video will show you how shaky i actually was and wow i just– best experience, i will definitely go to her concerts over and over again and i just loved it so much. so yeah i was pretty excited and super happy overall :’) and how is your week going? 💗
