ok i gotta bring some of my deranged malleus twisted wonderland thoughts here from twitter. warning: i talk a lot about mammalian anatomy here. there are a lot of (non-sexual) nipple mentions in this post.
so like. malleus canonically hatched from an egg. dragon fae are oviparous. here's some Questions that this then creates for me:
does malleus have a belly button? because uh. oviparous animals do not have belly buttons (those are scars from the umbilical cord!). is his stomach just smooth all the way down?
(possibly my most pressing question) is malleus a mammal? there are only 5 species of mammals that are oviparous; they all fall under the order of monotreme. these are the platypus and the 4 species of echidna. my point here is that it is very rare for mammals to not give some form of live birth (but it's not a requirement).
DOES MALLEUS HAVE NIPPLES? the defining trait of a mammal is the presence of the mammary glands. these are what produce milk for the animal's young. platypi famously do not have nipples and neither do echidnas (because monotremes are bizarre little freaks), but they still possess mammary glands. they just, like, secrete it. from their skin. like the little freaks they are. "michelle!" you might say. "that just means that if we get a malleus boob reveal, we can narrow down whether or not he's a normal mammal or a monotreme/non-mammal!" au contraire. betitted species of mammals all sport nips on the females. however! the males are a different story. we again divide mammals into 2 groups: those where males also have nipples (like humans!), and those where they do not (like cows and rats!). if malleus has nipples, he could be the former, or he could still be the latter and he's just a trans man (good for him!). on the plus side, it would narrow him down to being a mammal of some kind.
however. this entire analysis comes crashing down when you consider one silly green puppy dog of a man: sebek zigvolt. sebek is half-fae, half-human. humans and fae can interbreed. two similar species are considered separate species if they are unable to produce fertile offspring. think zorses, mules, etc. if they can produce fertile offspring, they're considered to be subspecies of some all-encompassing other species. wolves and dogs are in this category. if sebek zigvolt or any of his siblings are capable of producing children of their own... that means that fae and humans. are subspecies of some Other species. THE QUESTION NOW IS NOT "Is malleus draconia a mammal?" IT IS "Could malleus draconia hypothetically produce fertile offspring with a human?" if this is true. this then means that fae and humans are merely the wolves to the other's dogs.
what the FUCK does the scientific classification of species look like in twisted wonderland? i just KNOW it's gotta be fucked up.
(of course, then book 7 part 4 came out and dropped the "an egg must hatch via love and magic" lore, scrambling my brain further. this is what happens when you think too hard about a fun little detail in a fantasy setting. let this post be a warning.)

Now let's start with the reasons!
1) He shares last name with an actress of a telenovela I love so much (Rubí, Bárbara Mori)
2) His voice (Latin Spanish, English and Japanese)
3) His smirks
4) His hairstyles
5) He knows what he wants
6) His ability, it's great and raises so many questions:
How free is Elise really? Does Elise know where she comes from and the abilities in general? How did Mori discovered his ability? And etc–
7) He is so smart, sad that people sometimes forget it
8) He is SO grey and questionable as a character → his morals, his way of being...
9) His calm energy
10) He can fight and defend himself without Elise
11) He can be scary when he wants to (example: that scene with Lucy)
12) He is so rational and realistic

52) I make so many content about him exploring fanon and canon Mori! OCs that either have a good relationship with him or have traumas with him, there's no in between

He really thought "Hey, this girl has nothing to bind her to the mafia, she's sure to leave, she can do it" but Ozaki chose to stay, to help him. Mori was so honest, didn't hide his emotions and was truly happy to hear that she was going to stay, such an emotional and relatable moment for me
I will not go deep on the dialogue, just the emotions
In the manga it was first a shock scene, just shock... I would say even distrustful of her words
But then his smile was very soft, nodding, maybe proud of the fact that Ozaki feels comfortable in the mafia after he became the leader
In the anime it was the same but with a sad expression, there was more melancholy in his words, his facial expression...
And that's why I cry a lot with that scene
59) He loves the city, he wants to protect it so much even if that's really hard to see...

60) His organization means so much for him, the PM is more than "a group of people" to him, I love how he takes care of them, how he seeks, acts and does everything possible for their wellness

Ougai (in my point of view) is just irritated that he doesn't have Dazai at his side to use him, but he leaves it that way, he sees his reality, and accepts it but hates it a lot
63) “But doesn't Mori want to have him back to his side?”
Yes, as I said, he is irritated, accepts but hate that fact. He doesn't like it when when things are TOO far out his control, he is stubborn, he is "human" despite being a bastard
64) I appreciate that he kept his promise to Chuuya, Ougai REALLY GAVE HIM THE DOCUMENTS after he became executive when he could easily hide them from Nakahara to the end
Mori did good there, he kept his promise
65) I support that he dislikes dirty things, raw food and mackerel in miso–

66) One thing that MUST be appreciated:
Even of the traumas, how "evil" Port Mafia is, how bad is Mori, etc– He gives people with no home a place they belong to and where they are accepted
He created a whole good atmosphere for his people you know??? Dude they look comfy there, they don't desperately want to leave the organization (at least most of them, I'm not counting Kyouka and Dazai at all) and they are able to consider themselves a family, see the PM as a home, that is incredible. How close Black Lizard are, Chuuya and Ozaki, Ozaki and Mori, etc
67) He treats people in SUCH different ways I love it
68) He doesn't treat people with the same level of empathy, that's great and so normal... The not-normal thing about his empathy is how he traumatizes people but I'm talking in a people-in-the-real-world context

RANDOM POST TIME!!!
Randomly starting thinking about grumpus anatomy, behavior, etc- so it’s time for MY OPINION about this shit! (My opinion may be different than yours, so please respect that!)
•For starts: These fuckers got some traits from their animal ancestors, which include; retractable claws, the ability to go/travel on all 4’s comfortably, flexibility to a certain degree (depends on age/physical health) and. Well. The ability to go absolutely batshit feral.
•SPEAKING OF GOING FERAL; there’s two kinds in my book. Minor feralism, and Major feralism.
Basically, if the reason is small, then they go a little feral, but they still manage to keep themself in check. Signs of this include glowing eyes, animal noises (like hissing and growling), and the claws automatically come out.
If the reason is major however, they go feral all the way, and become frightened, but dangerous beasts. Signs of this include those previously mentioned, plus some foaming from the mouth, a case of pure rage, and the urge to attack and kill.
In either case, although rare, that grumpus will automatically go on all 4’s until their feral episode comes to an end.
•They lay eggs. But produce milk. This idea is inspired by the fucking platypus, the only mammal that can do both of these things.
•Female, or grumps that were born female have pouches that can be used for anything; that includes holding grumplings (babies), food, or just- items that are small enough to go in the pouch. The pouch can be removed through surgery if they choose to remove it.
•This part is my favorite! Anything like horns, animalistic ears, feathers; those would be considered physical mutations. (Remember, my opinion, not yours).
•Stuff like tattoos and scars are hidden under the fur. So if a grumpus was getting a tattoo, or having to get a REALLY bad wound stitched up, the fur would have to be shaved off so it would be visible. Speaking of fur; if it’s just shaved off, then it’s take about 2-3 weeks to grow back. If the fur comes off due to being burned off however, than 6-9 weeks. And if the root of the fur is plucked out of the skin, or if you were to splash some acid on it, that patch of fur ain’t coming back.
•And to finish this all off, The tail of a grumpus helps them balance, even if the tail is small. If at least a third of the tail is chopped off, or taken away, that specific grump will have trouble with their balance, which can make it hard for them to even walk. Therefore, there are prosthetic tails for such cases. These prosthetics can also be weaponized by choice, and the color and design can be whatever they want it to be.

would alchemized food have like bacteria n shit . does the bacteria get alchemized with it. wpuld they be able to eat raw meat on the meteor (idk if theres any other issues with raw meat aside from bacteria so if there are lets pretend there arent) do you think if they get good enough at alchemizing weirdly specific foods they could make a fruit without any of tje things in it that make someone allergic bht it still tastes the same. peanutless peanut butter but its still peanuts just less allergy. do you think they could alchemize an epi pen. thank god they didnt have any huge medical issues during the meteor trip btw like imagine if one of them developed a fucking brain tumor or got appendicitis or some shit you cant fix that without surgery as far as i know. kanaya could probably perform simple surgeries tbh but i like to think trolls have wildly different internal organs and anatomy to humans so they jyst look vagyely similar on the outside and then you open them up and its like Hey what the fuck is that organ and why is your lungs where they are. maybe i just like body horror in a non horror but still weird way. i like to think since human evolution was so unlikely that trolls evolved in a completely different way (in addition to them being on a Different Fucking Planet) so that they arent quite mammals but not really insects either. real life science doesnt fit perfectly into categories like that. you ever seen a platypus? ah wait i forgot some of them have healing powers bc of their aspects ignore that entire thing about surgery they could just find a dead feferi probably

How I write Naga characters! (LONG post)
I need somewhere to lay out Ksho’s anatomy and fit it into the lore, so here’s how I personally write half-snake characters. This version is to fit into the TWST lore, but it can work anywhere. I’m not at all an expert, but I am an animal sciences/zoology student, so I hope this is at least interesting o7 Feel free to use these headcanons lol
As a disclaimer, I am writing this about a character based on an Indian rock python, but I’ll leave little notes here and there on how this would work in general. Etymology wise, I will be referring to the character as a Naga, as the character I am writing for is South Asian. The name Lamia could be used for Greek or North African characters :D I will be referring to the ‘human half’ as the anterior body, and the ‘snake half’ as the posterior body, as my character is obviously not a human OR a snake.
To start with, I don’t consider Naga characters to be beastmen, and instead belong to their own classification that includes centaurs, cervitaurs and any reptilian or mammalian ‘merfolk’. They are a convergent species to snake beastmen and humans as a whole and have no real relation. I’ll be starting from the head and working down to the tail.
Ksho only has hair on his head, eyebrows and eyelashes, as is typical for his species. This is implied to have evolved from something similar to feathers, as he uses the serpentine idiom ‘Do feathers still grow from your skull?’ However, it is fine to not explain this. After all, if a platypus can lay eggs, a fictional reptile can grow hair. He can’t grow any other kind of body hair. His pupils are vertically slit. This DOES NOT mean he is venomous!!!! This means he is better suited for dark environments. He doesn’t have visible heat pits, but is written to ‘see’ heat in a way similar to a human seeing heatwaves off of a hot car, by his own description. This is left mostly unexplained 🥲 He has pointed ears with scales on the back, and he has a forked tongue and a vomeronasal organ.
Dentition wise, he has long thin teeth. These teeth curve back into the mouth, and get longer the further in they are. He cannot chew. The back teeth move forward and back as he opens his mouth to make room. His ‘dimples’ are actually the points where the skin on his cheeks can stretch back to. Like snakes, he can’t actually unhinge his jaw. The two halves are not fused, and merely stretch out. His anterior rib cage, collarbone and pelvis also all stretch very far, which he demonstrates in book 3 by pulling his ribs out, much to everyone’s disgust.
Snake teeth are shaped like this to guide food back and to hold prey still, but the addition of opposable thumbs is vastly more helpful. I imagine that the other ‘sharp’ teeth, such as the leech twins can chew to a certain extent, but will typically just swallow manageable bites, like an eel would.
The anterior body is mostly oesophagus, but it also contains the anterior heart and the first lung, similar in size to one that a human would have, the heart slightly larger. They provide oxygen and blood flow to the brain, arms and extremities. They have no nipples or breast tissue! They are reptiles, eat solid food from birth, and hatch with all their teeth. There is never a reason for them to drink milk. There’s also no visible navel, the area covered by belly scales in a pattern similar to stomach hair to make the transition easier. (The area where the yolk connects is further down) The scales wrap around the hips, and can range from only going slightly up the anterior body, to all the way over the shoulders.
Snakes shed all at once. Naga bodies will shed the posterior scales all at once, and the scaleless skin will shed similar to peeling off dried glue 😬
Moving on to the posterior body, the majority ‘leg’ portion of the body and some of the body on the ground is stomach. He also has a posterior lung and heart, which is much larger. He can hold his breath for around thirty minutes without issue. The liver is a little further down, leading up to the gallbladder and small intestine. Then it’ll lead up to the kidneys, reproductive system and the rest of the digestive system. (I’m sure nobody wants me to go on and on about snake anatomy lol)
Like snakes, they are cold blooded, and are susceptible to different illnesses due to this. Their movement is quite reliant on the CNS, meaning sudden movements can lead to injuries, as they could lunge on instinct. They’re very androgynous as a whole, though the females are typically bigger. Constrictors don’t focus on removing the ability to breathe and actually are strong enough to constrict blood flow to the heart. However, with an intelligent species capable of hunting with tools, this isn’t necessary. That sensitivity to vibrations is still very handy though.
Pythons move by pulling themselves straight forwards by ‘walking’ with their ribs. I divert from this, as I imagine Kshoshurankha moving in the swaying side-to-side way. It just better matches his personality, and works better with the humanoid part imo. He moves forward straight when ‘dragging his feet’ or tired
The posterior body ends with the vent, and like snakes, Naga also have spurs residual from evolution. (They’re little protrusions on snakes that are the residual legs from evolution on either side of the cloaca.) After that, the ACTUAL tail begins. Most pythons tails are able to hang on and hold its whole body weight. The fact that the organs go through the whole body gives me the belief that they would not be able to take human potions like the merfolk would, as it would be too big a change and send them into shock. (I imagine the leech twins are around 10-15ish feet, the majority of which being tail, and the most vital organ systems ending at the mid ‘thigh’ area)
This isn’t at all gospel for Kshoshurankha’s lore and was mostly written due to my special interest in anatomy and zoology. I’m 100% open to any questions! (or suggestions) I’ll probably make a second post adding on to the life stages and other random trivia anyways \o/
Kshoshurankha (the character I reference multiple times) is 17 and in high school. Any asks about him that are genuinely disturbing, gory or in anyway unsavoury are not welcome.

Erroneous Echidnas
Second only to the platypus in infamy, the echidna group is perhaps most known for being an egg-laying mammal. In fact there are four species of Echnida, collectively gathered into the family Tachyglossidae. There are two genera in this family; thee species of echidna-- the western longbeaked (Z. bruijni ), Sir David’s longbeaked (Z. attenboroughi), and the eastern longbeaked (Z. bartoni) -- belong to Zaglossus, while the fourth species, the short beaked echidna (T. aculeatus), is in its own genus Tachyglossus. All four species are endemic to New Guinea, although only the short beaked echidna is found in Australia.
In general echidnas resides in dry forests and woodlands. While the longbeaked echidnas require high humidity environments, the shortbeaked echidna is more felixble and can be found in drier environments like grasslands, arid scrublands, and deserts. While they are not completely subterranean, echidnas spend much of their lives in burrows; either those they dig themselves or those they find abandoned by other species. When aboveground Tachyglossidae will often hide in leaf litter or under logs, where their primary food source is most abundant.
The diets of the two echidna genera are significantly different. Tachyglossus preys on worms and larvae. Zaglossus bartoni specialises in termites and ants due to their longer tongues, which can reach up to 18 cm long and is coated with sticky mucus. Aptly named, the most significant physical difference between the two genera is also related to their diets. The shortbeaked echidna has a nose only a few centimeters long and no more than 400 electroreceptors at the tip, while the longbeaked echidnas sport noses up to 15 cm long and containing over 40,000 electroreceptors.
Aside from their obvious nasal differences, echidnas follow the same rough body plan. They are medium sized; the shortbeak are slightly smaller at 40cm in length and weighing 7 kg, while longbeaks grow up to 100cm and weigh about 10 kg. All four species are covered in a blend of coarse brown or black hair and spines, which they use for defense against predators like dingoes, foxes, and feral pigs. Their feet appear to be on “backwards”, but in reality their claws are turned that way to make digging easier. Like their close cousin the platypus, echidnas have a spur on their hind leg, though it isn’t venomous. The reproductive anatomy is also distinct: the female only has a single rear opening called the cloaca, and the male has a four-headed penis. As if it weren’t unique enough, echidnas have the second lowest body temperature of any mammal at only 33 °C. During their hibernation season, from April to July, the temperature lowers even further as echidnas enter a state of semi-hibernation known as torpor.
Outside of the mating, echidnas are usually solitary, though territories can overlap. The mating season runs from July to September, and Tachyglossidae become sexually mature between 5 and 12 years old. Once a female is located, all the active males in the area will line up to follow her, oldest to youngest, and attempt to mate. Up to 10 males can follow a female, though only one will be successful, and none will contribute to raising his offspring. 22 days after breeding, the female lays a single soft shell in a special pouch in her belly. The young larva-like “puggle” will hatch 10 days later and will suckle at one of two milk patches in the pouch. It takes about a month and a half for the puggle to grow into a recognizable echinda with spines. At this point it leaves its mother’s pouch, though it stays in a specifically dug nursery burrow for a year. In the wild echidnas can live 20 years, and in captivity they last up to 50.
Conservation status: The western and Sir David’s longbeaked echidnas are listed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN; the eastern longbeaked is listed as Vunurable and the shortbeaked echidna is Least Concern. The main threat for all four comes from habitat loss and hunting.

Headcanon:
O.W.C.A has multiple outposts all over the world that find abandoned, orphaned, etc. animals and recruit them into the organization, as well as finding them homes by putting them in their undercover animal shelters so they can be adopted by families. One of the outposts in Australia discovered an abandoned egg and brought it in to be hatched, and out came a little teal platypus. The organization had never had a platypus agent before, but they thought that one could potentially be a very valuable asset, due to their unusual anatomy providing them with many adaptations that could be useful in missions (webbed feet for excellent swimming, also perfectly adept at fighting on land, venomous ankle barbs (not that Perry ever uses them)). So the baby platypus was immediately sent to the O.W.C.A. headquarters in the United States to begin training, quickly rising through the ranks and becoming one of the best recruits, eventually earning himself the title of Agent P. Even as a top recruit, a lot of doubt was cast on Agent P’s ability to actually get adopted because let’s face it, who has a platypus for a pet? But O.W.C.A doesn’t really want to just leave its agents out to dry, so Agent P was placed in an undercover animal shelter in Danville, in the tri-state area, to hopefully find a forever home. And finally one day, a sweet little blended family came in looking for a pet and selected Agent P for looking at both of their boys at the same time. Apparently not at all fazed by such an unusual pet, the Flynn-Fletchers took Agent P home and called him Bartholomew (later renaming him Perry)

I hope this isn’t a personal/intrusive question, but do you like cute stuff? Like cute plushies like Hello Kitty? Ofc I don’t think that just bc u write dark content doesn’t mean that u only indulge in that stuff. As a fan of ur works, and someone who likes consuming yandere related media, whether they’re fics or manga, it’s always kinda funny whenever I’m reading ur serial killer Jade series, surrounded by a bunch of pink pastel plushies.
I love cute stuff! I like to collect plushies that have multiple eyes or were made from other parts of plushies or are simply odd and unique. I think they're really cute. :D But I also like things like Hello Kitty, Sumikkogurashi, Banpresto Frog Style, cute fashion, and cute keychains and phone charms. My favorite phone charm is a pufferfish with an X-ray displaying anatomy labels, but now that I look at it I’m reminded of sk!Jade. ^^;;;
It’s always funny when I write yandere stories and there’s a Scaramouche plush with a :< expression or a cute octopus or a cross between a unicorn and a platypus looking over my shoulder at the word document. orz the best place to consume dark content is surrounded by cute plushies and pastels. (˘ ˘ ˘) it’s a good balance.
