★ What are your highly anticipated books for 2022? I have a few, but at the moment, @ravenkennedybooks’ fourth Plated Prisoner series book, Glow, is at the top of that list. The first three books were my favorite reads of 2021 (out of 360+ books, a mighty feat!) and I think about this story a lot. Obviously, the romance is fire and I am complete trash for Slade. 🤤 But the progression of Auren's story really spoke to me and struck a place deep in my heart. For years, I was one who found love in all the wrong places, and seeing Auren grow (and come into the light) throughout this story, has been almost cathartic and a bit freeing for myself as a reader, too. I'm happily married now, and my partner in crime is my favorite person in the world, but Auren's thoughts and struggles so closely resemled my own, once upon a time, and I think that's one of the reasons this series has become beloved by so many of us. But also—SLADE. He's the cherry on top. 😈 I think I might do a giveaway for the series when the paperback preorder for Glow goes live, what do you think? ★ What books have you added to your TBR (or read!) because a favorite author recommend them? I snatched up To Bleed a Crystal Bloom by @sarah.a.parker.author because @ravenkennedybooks recommended it! Just give me all the fantasy romance. I grabbed the audiobook the other day too, and am going to read it that way because I’ve heard it’s excellent. In fact, the only reason I have a bookstagram is because I found it through Sarah J. Maas’s books …… which I never would have read if another favorite author, Amy A. Bartol, didn’t recommend them. I 100 percent trust my favorite authors when they rave about another author’s books.
