Listen I know Gwyndion is probably going to belong to Nesta.
But I do find it interesting that we have a character named Gwyn, a sword called Gwydion, Fionn which is the Irish version of Gwyn and Oleanna whose one of the meaning is light all in one series. All of these characters and swords were also introduced in the same book.
Gwyn: A priestess, name meaning white, fair and blessed
Fionn: High king of Prythian and wielder of Gwyndion. Irish version of Gwyn. Name meaning white and blessed
Oleana: High priestess, imbued magic into Gwyndion by dipping it into Cauldron. One of the meanings for the name being light.
Gwydion: Glows with white light and is described as holy, savior's light.

It's a fucking fantasy romance series.
It's heavily focused on romance.
Thinking of characters within the context of romance is not problematic. Dismissing Gwyn as a viable love interest by weaponizing her trauma is. Because it reinforces a harmful stereotype about victims.
Shipping a SA victim with a character where fans hope and depict them in a consensual loving relationship is not problematic. What's problematic is shaming and gaslighting those shippers.
Gwyn and Azriel are fictional characters. Shipping them both have no real life consequences nor does it set a standard to how SA victim heals.
It's up to SJM to choose what kind of love story she would want to write for Gwyn and Azriel, but readers imagining different scenarios and dynamics for them as of now doesn't need the consent of said fictional character because they're not real and the ship has no implications on said fictional character nor on real life.

SJM has a way of giving characters closure... Danika and Bryce or even Ithan and Connor... I wonder if Gwyn would get to have similar closure with Catrin. If it happens I will be ugly crying ...
The Gwynriel book will own a piece of my heart but I am prepared for angst and trauma confrontation and I know its going to have moments of such heaviness and sorrow, I will be wrecked and ugly crying 😢.

“Even the things that hurt and hunt you?” Only curiosity laced the question.
Nesta allowed herself a breath to ponder it, stilling her mind once more. “We need those things in order to appreciate the good. Some days might be more difficult than others, but… I want to experience all of it, live through all of it. With them.”

Although Nesta transforms in more than one way, her embracing life in its entirety, with its ups and downs, as opposed to not caring about her own death as long as she no longer felt anything, will always be my favorite transformation.
To represent this, I asked Pablo to illustrate Nesta in two moments: the trauma of being submerged in the cauldron manifesting itself during the bath and her swimming serenely. Pablo even suggested that we use John Everett Millais’ Ophelia as a reference, because of the colors, but the idea that Nesta, as opposed to Ophelia, ends up alive because she chose to live, warms my heart and I’m very happy to finally share this illustration.

Sometimes I get why E/riels are so mad😂
Like imagine spending years bullying eluciens…putting in the time and energy…
And then finally….just when you think you’ve won…you’re reading Azriel’s bonus chapter….they’re about to kiss….and out of nowhere….
Azriel’s shadows (which they’ve written several fanfics being in love with Elain) don’t like her at all…then he goes off and starts thinking of another girls smile and burying the image in his heart….
And now they have to start putting in more time and energy creating “lightsinger theories” and “She’s evil” theories….
Basically back to square one only this time you’re dealing with Gwynriels and Eluciens😂
I’d be pissed off too😂
