The Sea Prince; Assorted Doodles!

First of all, thank you for such a good reception on the prologue! It only gets better from there, promise >:D!

Second, as of posting, there are a planned 28 total installments of act one! I am halfway done, and once there is a backlog of beta-read chapters, I’ll set up a proper posting schedule.

Anyway, doodle time! I’ve been working on a few doodles while writing + illustrating the covers! Doodles under the cut, have a little teaser for what’s to come ;)

Illustrating the covers are super fun, cannot wait to post them with their affiliated chapter! I still have to illustrate arc three’s cover and the epilogue, but for now, here are the little things I’ve drawn for the au as a treat <3

Finalized Pearl’s facial scar while also messing with ideas of heterochromia for her :> I imagine the scar got her eye acting up, so I’ll cotninue messing with it :> also Scott’s there! Wanted to draw his bangs differently <3

OH! Their prince forms are a bit different too :0c changed up their horns (or ‘crowns’ as they’re referred) and added more gradients on em, can’t have enough of those! You can also see the difference between Pearl’s human scar vs her real scar, aaand I gave princes some extra sharp teeth so, they look a bit more inhuman :D aren’t they cute tho?

Also, concept art of the nature wives!! It’s funny that Shelby is out on pirates smp (I have not watched any of the lore in a while-) and I’ve always had plans for her and Katherine in this au ehehe, it just works! While I have her pirates skin on there, I mostly referenced the other skins you see there. Big inspo from Witchcraft Shelby tho, her cape is everything to me <3

Katherine was very fun to concept too, very straightforward! I combined most of the outfits for her reference while also making it a biiit more pirate themed, but in general I quite like it :> silly gfs <3

Finally, a SPOILER! While act one gets cooked, I have a lot of plans for act two. So out of context, here’s concept art for Scott and Pearl! Scott’s dress is just his empires season two outfit with added stars and a circlet with flowers, but Pearl? That’s on me >:D inspired by her empires outfit, just fully black. The veil came to me in an instant, it just works, both practically and design-wise!

Anyway, here’s to act one being steadily worked on! I cannot wait to show you all what sort of plans I have for this AU. It’s been such a fantastic time!

whats a pro shipper? is that about luz riding that one pirate boat in season 2? are you against that? do you think its irresponsible or smthn to promote that?

or is it smthn about "shipping" which i think is like making art of characters kissing and in relationships and stuff?

if i say amity + luz are really sweet, i am pro amity and luz, so im a pro shipper? is it about being critical about all the relatipnships, so if youre anti shipper youre like asexual or dont want relationships to be there at all?

also whats dni, i only saw that in the context of dream smp? i thought its an acronym for something starting with dream... what has dream smp to do with the owl house?

I can’t tell if this is a genuine ask or someone being a smart alec, but just in case it’s the former:

- a proshipper refers to someone who either doesn’t oppose shipping, or themselves ships things that are considered problematic, such as incest, pedophilia, and abuse (stalker x victim, etc).

- an anti shipper is someone who opposes shipping these things for a variety of reasons.

- some have tried to expand these definitions into stances on censorship or harassment, but these definitions are not accurate. Being pro or anti ship doesn’t make you any more or less likely to be against things like censorship or harassment. Anyone who tells you otherwise is giving you a biased version of the definition.

- DNI is an acronym which stands for Do Not Interact. So a DNI list would be a list of people you don’t want interacting with you/your blog. These are less targeted at the people on the list and more so targeted at those who agree with the DNI list (for example, someone putting Transphobes DNI on their blog signals to trans people that their blog is a safe space).

I'm Aqua, pronouns they/she, likes and replies from @/aquaeclipse. I am an adult. This is my MC/MCYT sideblog, i.e. we post about block people roleplay here, sir.

You might know of me as a TV Tropes and fan wiki editor. On Tumblr, I am the admin of @dreamsmpquoteswithoutcontext and @mcytaita, and a handful of other minor blogs.

In the DSMP fandom specifically, you might know me as the person who revamped c!Quackity's fan wiki page in 2021 and an analyst in the field.

In the Pirates SMP fandom specifically, you might know me as one of the archivists and the recap guy. Yes, several of the Pirates SMP content creators are currently living like rats in my walls. This series is my Roman Empire fr.

I also write fanfics on AO3.

DNI if you are a c!Dream apologist or a c!Schlatt apologist – I will personally fistfight you off a cliff

c!Techno and c!Philza apologists are on thin fucking ice – I enjoy content about their content creators and sometimes characters, but they also frustrate me a lot

I am vehemently c!Dream critical and if I were whitelisted to the SMP, the first thing I would do is make sure c!Dream has no more canon lives

I am very pro-L’Manburg. That place has the same vibes as my real-life hometown and I will defend it to the death even if I joined the fandom post-Doomsday

People who hate c!Tommy and think he is the devil incarnate (meaning having zero sympathy for him) are also on my DNI list and please leave my blog, I'm not here to start a fight just because you refused to read my DNIs
