Everyone’s talking about the extra Pearl disproving the ‘you shall fail to save what matters most in the end’ part of the prophecy but I never thought that it was about Sally. In the end she was saved (just not by Percy), so even though we think it’s about her at one part in the story, it’s not actually referring to her. It’s referring to Luke. He’s what matters most in the end, he officially joins Kronos around this time, and he wasn’t saved- not by Percy or anyone else

Ok more Percy Jackson screeching but with spoilers this time below the cut!! (I'm hoping my spoiler tags catch what they need to, the cut is there otherwise)

Y'all I hurt my hand so bad when "you drool when you sleep" was said because I smacked it so hard against the chair I was sitting on.

Ok ok ok ok, can we talk about the way they portrayed Percy seeing through the Mist as a kid????? That was so so brilliant.

Also giving a valid reason for Percy to ditch Grover when leaving Yancy? Also stellar.

The bathroom scene with Clarisse was absolutely perfect.

A DEMIGOD IN A WHEELCHAIR Y'ALL I SQUEAKED SO LOUD WHEN I SAW THAT

The "better not" to the flaming arrow was so funny and very Percy.

God capture the flag was so good.

Can’t Wait For PJO Episode 5!!!

Funny conversation with my dad at dinner

Spoilers for the next episode below (plus the series overall)

My dad and I were talking about PJO because I mentioned I was excited for it because of the Tunnel of love scene (didn't tell him the scene so he won't be spoiled) he jokingly said something like oh because it's the episode Percy meets Hermione, I said that I thought Annabeth would like Hermione and then he said and I quote "I don't think Annabeth likes anybody" 😆💀. I sort of get why he thinks that, anyways, I was trying not to laugh/ smile and then he said something like "I don't think she like likes anyone" I don't exactly remember the rest but he could sorta read my facial expression and said maybe later on. So yeah I guess I somehow didn't ever mention that Percy and Annabeth are dating.

Yeah um they are currently dating...... (Didn't tell him that)

PJO Series S1E6 Spoilers Ahead! (and also spoilers for the books)

if the last episode (e5) was the best so far then this was the WORST because WHAT did I just watch

I was apprehensive from the preview itself with lin manuel miranda as hermes but I thought "hey the addition of hephaestus was actually really good, let's give it a shot, maybe they'll make it work," but NO

first off, the episode is called "we take a zebra to vegas"...so tell me why percy never speaks to the zebra and we never even SEE the zebra? hello? this is the set-up for him being able to talk to horses (see: blackjack!) and even sea creatures!

them knowing ahead of time about the lotus casino? fine, them knowing about the myths beforehand has been a trend in the series, I'll give them that. but WHY was grover the only one who forgot?? don't do my man like that why you singling him out PLEASE

all the hermes info is supposed to happen in the last olympian!! it's supposed to humanize luke right before he DIES!! why are you ruining the flow my dudes??

took out the lotus cash card flashing the infinity symbol and the cab driver calling annabeth "your highness" for WHAT

and finally - them not giving the correct amount of days (pretty sure chiron said they had 7 instead of 10 or whatever) coming back to bite them because what do you MEAN the summer solstice deadline already passed?? that was supposed to mean WORLD WAR III WHAT

and four pearls?? bro?? did we not hear the same prophecy I'm CRYING

(and they didn't even play poker face in the lotus casino)

this was not it fam I'm sorry

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the finale and here's why:

The acting? Phenomenal. Walker did such a good job with the range of emotions Percy goes through, his courage and his fear and his anger and his betrayal and his affection and his humor. I also really loved the little expressions everyone in the cast had to express affection- you can see how much Poseidon and Annabeth and Grover and Percy and Sally all care about the people they interact with just by the most minuscule movements in their faces

They did such a good job with Luke. I was never really on board with him reading the books since he seemed pretty irredeemable to me from the get go, which made his sacrifice in The Last Olympian fall pretty flat for me. But here? He makes some really good points, he starts out not wanting to hurt Percy, and I'm almost on his side until Percy tries to apologize for hurting him and he responds by attacking. That to me is the fundamental core of Luke's philosophy: at its core, it is very valid, but the way he goes about fighting for it is what makes him a villain

Also, the scenes of Luke training Percy to fight and talking to him about the gods interspersed with his fight with Ares and his journey to Olympus? Poetic cinema

Olympus itself was breathtaking. I had to pause during the first shot of it and just take it all in

The humor! Grover wanting to email Zeus, Percy calling Kronos "grandpa"... the spirit of the books lives on in those moments
