Can’t Take What Isn’t Yours
Just a small drabble. :)
“What do you mean you can’t go?!”
She heard what you said, something came up and you couldn’t go treasure scavenging with her today.
“Can’t you do that later or something? It ain’t much fun without you around!”
Chili Pepper was flying solo on this one, sorry.
“Ugh! Fine! But I’m not sharing any treasures I find! You better go with me next time!”
You promised her you would. She gave you one last look before sighing and darting away. You waited for a little bit, making sure she was fully gone before turning to a rock close by.
Alright, you can come out now…Peppercorn Cookie.
“Are you ready, Y/N Cookie?”
Yep, the boss will be waiting for the both of you back at the hideout. Not just him, but Centipede Cookie too. She gets antsy when my expected arrival takes a while.
“Can you blame her? You’re one of our clan’s finest! Pretty handsome/beautiful too~ Wa ha ha!”
Compliments weren’t rare for you, hell, you get them plenty from your fellow Sneaky Clan members, but Peppercorn and Centipede were runner-ups for the cookies who gave you the most of them! You tell Peppercorn that she was pretty cute too!
She laughed as she hugged you tightly as she blushed.
“Hey thanks, Y/N Cookie! Coming from you, it means a lot! It really does…come on! Drinks are on me when we get back to the hideout!”
Peppercorn held your hand as you both took off, having a laugh together.
Sorry Chili Pepper, but you were a Sneaky Clan cookie through and through, and you don’t take kindly to traitors…
I considered putting Peppercorn Cookie as a honorable mention on the obsessive cookies list, she does sound like the type to get overly attached to the one cookie that would never betray her lol

ovenbreak march/april 2023 update
by now a majority of people already are aware of what devsis did and it's clear that they will not change their mind on the update
making the cookie run hashtags and sending spam/memes will do nothing about this, if we want something to be done here are the followin things that can be done
uninstall ovenbreak immediately
leave 1☆ reviews on the appstore page, but please use critical and full sentences or else it will go to spam and be deleted

heres my thoughts on what to say
normally in spring (march/april/may) devsis usually releases spring-related themed updates such as spinach, beet, cherry blossom
meanwhile in the summer they reserve that season for yogurca and ocean themed events
devsis should be AWARE that Ramadan is during March/April, they have the access to research in Korea
let devsis know that they INTENTIONALLY released a middle eastern bomb-themed update during Ramadan
HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE
again use FULL SENTENCES or else messages and letter will go to spam folders and trash, dont try to be funny, let them know this update is:
racist (exclusionists)
vile (heartbreaking)
hurtful to people who are celebrating Ramadan
harmful
ignorant (not researched enough)
evil (disappointing) on devsis's part to consider releasing this update during Ramadan
eventually devsis might also try to censor these words from their inbox, and try to find creative ways around these words (use what the pararentheses have provided *above)
**devsis is NOT a baby company, dont coddle them, theyre just as smart in dealing w these situations
they can and have taken leakers to court because they HAVE the power to do this
unfortunately, if they persist on continuing this update, it's not your fault that you didnt try hard enough
not everyone has the ability/time to write a formal letter, but please try to whatever you can
it really does matter and shows you care about whats happening if you do these things
again, memes/jokes dont help make the situation look like it's serious, it makes it look like petty drama to outsiders
if anyone says that *you* are racist for bringing up the subject, tell them theyre racist for acting like racial issues dont exist
hopefully devsis face the consequences for their decsions later on

If I see another person call Peppercorn, our best POC representation in the game to date, ugly, and criticize her appearance (note: when she is not from Yogurca) and not the fact she has bombs and was released in an unfortunate update, I will start hell.

You do realize what the connotations are that come with calling a black woman ugly right. Please can we gain a little media literacy please. You can be against orentalism without shitting on POC women in the same breath.

Concept: secret sands y/n tries to rob Yogurt cream cookie, but yogurt catches them. But turns out they get along (y/n is an antique lover, yogurt loves showing his best wares)
“Complete this task and many doors will open to you”, the boss said. You weren’t one to back down from a challenge, so you accepted the job. They didn’t call you a Sneaky Veteran Assassin for nothing.
Infiltrate the merchant son’s palace and clean out his treasures. That was the mission
You had thought it would be a piece of cake and it was…at first. Getting inside and sneaking past guards was just routine for you. You scoped around rooms for possible clues or items needed to get you to the treasure room.
After some quick snooping around, you managed to find yourself standing at the doors leadings to the treasure room, you rubbed your hands together in excitement, ready to get your hands on the countless gemstones and artifacts this palace was holding!
You opened the door with confidence, hehe that merchant’s son won’t know what hit them when you…cleared…out…:this room?
You were surprised to see the cookie himself lazing about amongst his riches, the sound of the door opening alerted him to your presence!
Yogurt Cream: What are you doing? What brings you here?!
Think fast, THINK FAST!
Y/N: O-oh, I’m just a…humble trader! I was told to look for you on here and my do I say that you’ve got quite the collection here! These artifacts are mighty fine if I do say so myself!
Yogurt Cream: Hhmmm...If you're a humble trader, you wouldn't be trying to steal my treasure, right?...Right?
Y/N: Of course not! As I’ve said, I was just told to find you here!
Yogurt Cream: You know, I'm not sure to trust you. Do you have any proof of who sent you here?
Y/N: Is that the Naga’s Heart I spot there? Now that’s quite the treasure!

Centipede: ……
Centipede then suddenly got on her hands and knees.
Centipede: It should’ve been me! Not him to receive compliments!
Peppercorn only rolled her eyes as Centipede continued to complain. Though…if she were honest, she wouldn’t mind getting a compliment from Y/N Cookie too…

The beam has been shot again u.u
Why Peppercorn and why a werewolf? Welp, Werewolf Cookie himself has a one sided tension relationship char with her, remarking her scent is similar to his (because they're made of the same ingredient), but I wanted to play with that :0.
I stablished werecreatures can identify other living things by scent, including recognizing other werecreatures (the range of features in base form can vary in quantity, so not all of them are easy to distinguish at just plain sight), so now they have similar scent cuz they're both werewolves.
I also recontextualized her: canonically, she's from another land that isn't Yogurca but migrated there. I stablished she's from the Dragon's Valley (her outfit is now based on the ones we've seen from other characters from that region), but never traveled to Yogurca.
She studied in Scovillia in the past, and there she met Chili Pepper. They not only became friends, but also became gfs and started a "be gay do crime" life style (they just stole stuff together, but always more in the stealthy way. Only recurred to violence to deffend from security systems, never gave the first hit or organized armed robberies). One day they were spotted during a robbery and had to flee, but Chili's greed won the battle and she prioritized the stolen treasures over Peppercorn, leaving her behind and betraying her trust (that also ended their relationship).
Yeah, it's an alternate version of the canon events xd. Like in canon , they reunited years later and were forced to navigate a place together, where a similar situation to the one back then happened. Peppercorn was obviously pretty mad, so they had an argument. Chili reflected about what really mattered to her, and for once, she renounced to getting the treasure and helped Peppercorn escaping the place.
It's obvious Devsis doesn't want Chili Pepper to evolve, she was kept as an eternal comic relief and didn't consider Peppercorn her friend to begin with. Still don't understand how canon Peppercorn could consider Chili Pepper trustworthy.
Canon Peppercorn is portrayed as someone who values having someone to trust, but the writing of that update was awful (and the update in general was horrible).

im so miserable cause like. i genuinely like peppercorns design!!! i think it works pretty fine as a standalone design!!! but the theming and her skill and the update she was released in and what she's so clearly meant to represent is so Bad
