A continuación, llegó la película Malditos Bastardos; una historia sobre un grupo de soldados en la Francia ocupada por los Nazis durante la segunda guerra mundial. La película se estrenó en dos mil nueve (2009), cosechando críticas muy positivas y llegando al primer puesto de recaudación mundial. Es la película de Tarantino que mayor recaudación ha conseguido, tanto en los Estados Unidos, como en el resto del mundo.
En dos mil once (2011) comenzó la producción de Django Unchained (Django desencadenado). La película surgió del deseo de Tarantino de hacer un spaghetti western en el sur profundo de Estados Unidos. Para el papel protagonista se rumorearon Will Smith (Willard Carroll Smith, Jr.) e Idris Elba (Idrissa Akuna Elba), pero finalmente fue Jamie Foxx (Eric Marlon Bishop) quien la interpretó.
Con esta película de Django desencadenado, Tarantino consiguió su segundo Oscar, repitiendo el premio de mejor guion original.

En noviembre de dos mil trece (2013), Quentin comentó que estaba trabajando en un nuevo western. Se reveló que su título sería The Hateful Eight. La producción debió haber empezado en verano de dos mil catorce (2014). Pero tras filtrarse el guion, Tarantino barajó la posibilidad de no hacer la película y publicar una novela en su lugar.
Al final el proyecto siguió adelante, y los odiosos ocho (The Hateful Eight) se estrenó en en dos mil quince (2015). Fue un éxito y la primera película de Tarantino que tiene una banda sonora original, compuesta por Ennio Morricone, que logró ganar el Oscar.
Después de los odiosos ocho, Tarantino presentó al mundo su siguiente proyecto, produciendo esta vez una película mezclada entre comedia y drama, escrita y dirigida totalmente por él. En mayo de dos mil diecinueve (2019) se estrenó la película Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Había una vez en Hollywood para México), protagonizada por Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio y Margot Robbie, entre otros.
Con esta película; Había una vez en Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino se ganó otro Oscar, entre otros premios más, como el BAFTA y el Globo de Oro.
Como guionista, Tarantino escribió varias películas conocidas, como Ases Calientes, Abierto hasta el amanecer o Natural Born Killers, aparte de las suyas propias.
También hace cameos en todos sus proyectos y sale como actor en varias películas de Robert Rodríguez. Nunca ha estado casado, ni ha tenido hijos, aunque mucha gente lo ha juntado con la actriz Uma Thurman. Siempre negaron los rumores, pero la verdad es que no dejan de aparecer.
Sus proyectos se caracterizan por una narración desordenada, una violencia estética y una banda sonora compuesta por canciones que elige él mismo.
Según sus propias declaraciones, cuando acabe su décima película, se retirará definitivamente del mundo del cine.
Con rumores de una posible tercera parte de Kill Bill y si cumple su palabra, a Tarantino le queda solamente una película que aportar a la historia del cine. La esperamos impacientemente.
