That was her baby. Her whole 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. Gone, in the matter of seconds.

I just saw a video of Palestinian men rescuing a small baby from rubble, still alive.... The baby was showered with kissed and praises to God, everyone smiling. They were handling the baby with such gentleness, such care, that I (a woman, expected by society to be motherly) don't believe I would be able to have. I can't stop crying. These men are being villainized by media. Even pro palestinian people tend to use the "think of the women and the children", as if palestinian/arab men don't deserve the same mercy, but THESE MEN ARE HEROES. They're fathers, brothers, husbands, sons. they're doctors, teachers, bakers, and so much more. They've lost their home, their families, but they are still brave enough to keep on helping. They are the true heroes, and they deserve our kindness and protection too. Our voice must include them.

"We are not numbers" is a call for us, as well as the world who does not care, to remember the profound and complex human reality of every single Palestinian who has been killed or is currently suffering at the hands of"israel" and the usa and the uk and the west. every Palestinian is an entire universe.

every Palestinian life is just as precise and nuanced as your own.

they are all people who have friends and family who love them, hobbies they enjoy, goals they are chasing, hopes for their future, special moments they cherish forever, relationships with others that transform their lives....

they have pets, they enjoy sports, some love to cook for others and themselves, some love history or science or art or music or languages or agriculture, some are devout in their religious faith, some are passionate about teaching or strengthening their local community...

they want to have families of their own and were excited to share their family's traditions with their children and grandchildren, some are going to get married, some are still working up the courage to confess to their crush...

they have allergies, they have disabilities, they have special personal rituals they use to relax and de-stress after a long week, they have a favourite book or song or movie that always makes them laugh or cry in the best way, they have a favourite meal or drink or snack that always soothes their soul, they have a favourite place that always makes them feel at peace and happy...

Palestinians are just like you. Palestinians are not just numbers.

Every single Palestinian deserves to live their lives in full, with the freedom to live their life as they choose without fear

every single Palestinian who has been killed has been robbed of that inherent human right to life this torment, this discrimination and dehumanisation, this genocide must end.

We must never forget this. we must keep fighting for their liberation, an end to the occupation, and right to live

☝🏾Worth keeping in mind and reading more about. He references the Bosnian genocide as a precedent and we definitely have a duty to remember the men and boys of Palestine (in both Gaza and the West Bank) in any conversation we have.

There are reports of the men being targeted & rounded up in raids in the West Bank, subjected to increased settler violence and many other horror stories. Boys and men, especially Muslim boys and men, tend to be seen as a threat because that's how western media has conditioned us to think. This means that those of us choosing to lift our voices on the issues need to be careful not to fall into the trap of overlooking them when we speak and when we plead with our leaders to stop all this.

The boys and men deserve life too.

Israel is Intentionally targeting press in Gaza beacuse they know they are committing mass war crimes and genocide and doesn't want the world to see it. But they take to twitter to provide fake evidence against Palestine, which has been proved as fake hundreds of times. The villainization of the Palestinian people is outrageous. The audacity is un real.

and this doesnt even include the thousands in zionist prisons being tortured.
