When he was younger, Alex couldn’t keep track of how many times he’d been working and spent an inordinate amount of time in hair and makeup having his curls plastered down with mousse or gel or pudding or paste or whatever else they wanted to call it. Meridium had been good for that: no hair products.

But since that electric jolt in the air, he’d been almost wishing for some hair putty. His curls had frizzled out high and thin, and he was slapping it down with a mix of water and aloe gunk when he stopped short. Recognizing the lines of the woman walking determinedly past, and running in front of her to block her way.

“Hey, hey -- you’re Tamyra Williams, right?” Alex moved from side to side, keeping her from going around him. “Listen, I’m Alex Woo -- okay, no, obviously you wouldn’t have heard of me, but I’ve heard of you. From -- you’ll wanna hear this, trust me.” He reached out, clasping her arm just above the wrist, and then froze. “Oh, no.”

Aaand 9naa is doing it again.

Apparently the actors in Kiseki Chapter 2 had to film some of their intimate scenes fully naked and without previous intimacy coordination in that regard. It also seems like the crew jokingly offered to go naked too (because that makes things better /s) which suggests that again this was a pretty spontaneous decision.

The same thing already happened during the filming of Check Out and I now wonder if they pulled the same crap during Venus in the Sky (my only hope is that if they had, they wouldn't have kept quiet about it because apparently to them it's good promo 😒).

Funny how pretty much every other Thai BL production company manages to film beautiful intimate scenes without having the actors go completely naked...

It is very disappointing to be connected to Australians on this website only to quickly discover they are terfs.

#terfs are so close to discovering that abolishing the gender binary is actually a good thing #this one i just blocked came up with the idea that in a future where there was no gender there would only be sex #and went on to 'support' their argument by saying there would be no pronouns only people with penis or vagina #like how do they not understand those are still pronouns lmao #terfs are so caught up with hating trans women and despairing over trans men that they have forgotten what a pronoun actually is #like this person didn't realise they were creating a binary again based on this fictional idea that there are only ppl with penis or vagina #that there is no inbetween or ability to change whether naturally or socially #and it's so funny because they'll think the binary sex is normalised by nature when it's not!!!!#God #insert that meme where it's a guy on a fashion show criticising someone calling s colour a fancy name #'in a world post gender there wd be no need for nb or trans p bc it wouldn't make sense there would only be two sexes'#shut up. you mean you want to trade one binary for another #you want to revert back to when we didn't fully understand the expansive breadth of being #and pretend that there are no intersex people or even a social contract #terfs are so blind imagine living in a world so restrictive #like abolishing any social binary in a way that recognises multitudes of being is the outcome that will benefit society #not abolishing the gender binary only to fall back on the sex binary #it's the same thing!!! it's the same thing!!!

I’ve been thinking, and I think I’m going to change the way I talk about my headcanons and wof writing to something like a rewrite/reworking. I love wof but it’s become really apparent that the way I engage with it is really more as a world to expand and work in vs a book series I’m analyzing as-is. I think it’ll give me the freedom to actually post the stuff I’m thinking and working on bc I don’t have to keep chaining myself to making it work with all the confusing and contradictory canon tidbits that Tui barely remembers she established. Thoughts?

Okay so “Don’t You Want Me” by the Human League has been stuck in my head for days, but I realized it gives me strong Raphael x Tav vibes. Especially the lines:

the other day when i was at my grandma's i picked up her phone (a classic flip phone) to pass it to her and was like man i forgot how nice flip phones feel in your hand

pet peeve of mine is seeing ppl gushing about and making cutesy funny content abt raphael and gort on nexus... i like gort but not raphael and when i like a pathetic male character i need to make fun of him. it's good. keeps things humble. but i can't stand sensing the vibe of making them into loveable fools or sth.

5/13/24.

SAVAK (Brooklyn, New York) are a delight. Their music is consistently great (loud guitars, power pop/post-punk). They also clearly listen to and love music themselves. A couple of years ago they toured with Pays P. (Paris, France) and liked them so much that they started a label so they could release an LP.

Now, SAVAK has released a split EP with yet another French band - Contractions. And I'll bet the band wouldn't be offended by this observation - but the two tracks from Contractions blow the two SAVAK tracks out of the water.

This split EP is released by Peculiar Works.
