i love them too omg?! ☹️☹️ they were my first full oc group!!! the ogs!!! and i only got the idea 4 algorhythm when i was first writing levis profile lol......... ok let me tell u ab them 👍👍
they're under fnc!!! but only bc i wanted them to be labelmates w p1h ☠️ their concept is time travel based - levi ends up in the past where he meets the other four members, and they have lots of silly time travel fun trying to figure out how to get him back to the right year.
OKOK LINEUP !!!!!
kill minwoo - 98 liner, leader & main dancer. he's very quiet and doesnt seem very leader-like until someone starts to talk shit about his members and then.. he is not the nicest person 😨 his younger brother is mute so he's p much fluent in ksl. did NOT get along with hoyoung predebut but they're mostly ok now 👍 fc is ji changmin from tbz
hong hoyoung - 98 liner, lead rapper sub vocalist & fotg. he also produces most of their stuff too ^ ^ VERY quick to anger and has almost gotten physical w a few people because of it. has some serious mother issues but ermm anyway.. HATED hated hated minwoo predebut bc he wanted to be the leader but again they're p much on good terms now. fc is kim hongjoong from atz
bae seongjin - 00 liner, lead dancer sub vocalist & center. the middleman.. they could all be fighting and he'd be inbetween them all like 🧍‍♂️ guys lets calm down . is a #gamer through and through being an idol is j a side-hustle. doesnt speak to either of his parents LOL he lives w his older brother & sister-in-law and considers them his replacement parental figures. fc is (loml) lee jeno from nct dream
park daejun - 02 liner, main vocalist & sub rapper. the other four used to think he hated them LMAOO he was so quiet and shut-off for ages but hes came out of his shell a lot now 👍 close with youngmin of algorhythm despite the bad history levi has w them so theres tension there but not a lot. fc is kang taehyun from txt
im junyeong / levi - 02 liner, main rapper lead vocalist & maknae. THE GUY!!!! left algorhythm in march 2018 because of the issues he had with daehoon and the fact that despite helping out a Lot with the tracks on their second ep he goes Zero credit. like literally none. the biggest social butterfly ever hes got the largest friend group out of the 5 😭 in love w minwoo like.. they are best friends. fc is jay from enha!!!!!!!
OK THTS IT LMAO THAT WAS SO LONG IM SORRY??? their fandom name is travelers (bc of the whole time travel concept thing lol) andd. Yeah 👍👍 i love them

HYEWON is known for her deep voice, visuals, and connections with many different idols in the industry. but out of all of those, she’s most famous for her high-speed rapping skills and intensive participation in the musical production process overall.
when she debuted in 2018, HYEWON’s highest rap speed started at 9.43 sps. as of 2022, her highest rap speed to date is set to 9.83 sps. both numbers not only put her as one of the fastest rappers in kpop, but also as (currently) the fastest female kpop rapper in history.
HYEWON was a trainee for a total of 8 years before debuting. 4 years with JYP ENTERTAINMENT first, then another 4 with STELLAR ENTERTAINMENT.
before training to debut with a co-ed group, HYEWON was an original member (her positions were the main vocalist & leader) of the ITZY lineup under JYP, a girl group that debuted in 2019. she left because she felt like she didn’t fit their age range or the standards of girl groups.
she joined STELLAR ENTERTAINMENT in 2014 after being given the opportunity to work with AJ as a rap-based duo in exchange for leaving JYP ENTERTAINMENT.
before leaving, HYEWON grew the closest relationships with STRAY KIDS’ producer unit, 3RACHA — on top of being longtime friends still, she learned everything about creating music from them because she felt the classes she was taking for it weren’t enough. JYP was training her to be a vocalist despite auditioning to be a rapper, which was another reason for her departure.
CHANGBIN is the reason why she even knew she could rap and even helped her prepare for her STELLAR ENTERTAINMENT audition.
she made her acting debut in 2020 as the female lead in "tale of the nine-tailed." she will be returning for season two.
HYEWON is the oldest member of both CORE4 and UNIVERSE-4.
HYEWON is a member of UNIVERSE-4’s central producer unit, HYDRA3 — which consists of her, AJ, and JIHUN.
her native language is thai. she’s korean, but was born and raised in thailand before moving back to south korea to become a trainee; she eventually decided to stay in south korea permanently.
HYEWON is bisexual.
she is one of the few 4th generation kpop idols holding the most KOMCA credits.
on june 20, 2021, HYEWON and SAKURA made their unit debut with the hit LP "ENTERTAINER."

Miraiiiiiii (is it okay if I give you a nickname??)
So I had an idea to make Kyra’s old group yes she debuted three times in a span of 7 years (once in 2014, once in 2018, and once in 2020)
Backstory: she came to Korea at age 11 after she returned from China (Dalian) and a scout saw her. She trained for 3 years and debuted in 2014, in 2018 she joined the survival show (which is practically produce 48 but I make it my own bc Lulu is a boss 😎) she made it into fourth place and the group is an izone / Loona group claim. They lasted until 2021 but once she moved companies bc let’s me honest her old company was horrible the project group company let her debut in 2020 with her new group Mystic she participated in the songs and Mvs but didn’t go on music shows with them so one of them covered her parts.
Now today she’s happily engaged and is Enha’s noona.
The point is would you read about her old group? I apologize for babbling but I know you won’t get annoyed with me talking about my OC TT
yes ofc u can give me a nickname £×'w(#'(p) I'd love one!!
tbh kyra seems like the IT idol yknow what I mean??? she's like a kpop monster idol like somi and sunmi. personally I'd be OK with reading abt her old group since back stories are always ver fun (also educational) KWSOKWE

ELLE SINGAPORE: DAWN ON HIS “NARCISSUS” EP: LOVE, LOSS, AND FINDING HIMSELF
Author: Laura Sirikul
Date published: September 15th, 2023
DAWN knows a thing or two about his life being held under a microscope.
The 29-year-old artist, real name Kim Hyo Jong, has had his life in the media circus since the reveal of his romantic relationship with fellow Cube Entertainment labelmate and idol HyunA, which was seen as taboo in the K-pop industry, in 2018. Both DAWN and HyunA did the unthinkable and remained committed to their relationship, prompting the label to cut both of them out. The duo sparked support from fans domestically and abroad, solidifying their status as one of K-Pop’s most beloved power couples. They later signed to Psy’s P Nation label and released their solo EPs. For DAWN, he released his 2020 hip-hop album “Dawndididawn”, which marked his debut as a solo artist. Both DAWN and HyunA later released a collaborative EP called “1+1=1” in 2021, which was the first — and only — in K-Pop history for a couple in the industry to release one together. But DAWN and HyunA were known for their unconventional and unconditional love. After leaving P Nation in 2022, DAWN and Hyuna announced their break up.
Now working with producer duo GroovyRoom’s AT AREA, DAWN is ready to share his music in his own words. His new EP “Narcissus” tells the story of his life in his 20s as he experienced love, loss, and finding himself through it all.
“I prepared [this album] like it was my first album,” DAWN tells ELLE Singapore over Zoom from Korea. “For the first time, the stories I wanted to tell with those thoughts and good feelings. I really prepared it with a lot of effort like it was my last album.”
While many speculate that the album is about HyunA, DAWN doesn’t deny it, but he also wants people to know that it’s also a letter to himself about the trials and tribulations he’s gone through. While the world has known DAWN with HyunA as a duo, even throughout his Dawndididawn era, he is ready for that narrative to change. Just who is DAWN now — and without HyunA?
“It’s really hard to think of one word to describe who I am now,” DAWN ponders. “I am a person who enjoys adventures now. I’m very optimistic and think about a lot of things at the same time. I really enjoy this process of self-searching. I’m very adventurous now and I’m very happy about that.”
The title of the EP “Narcissus” stems from DAWN’s belief that when we fall in love with someone, we mirror ourselves to them in a way where we basically fall in love with ourselves and when the relationship falls apart, we lose a part of ourselves. He recalled the Greek story of Narcissus, a beautiful hunter who became entranced by a reflection of himself, and thought it greatly matched his concept.
“It’s quite simple,” says DAWN. “The tracks talk about different phases of what I experienced in my 20s through my love. When I first dated the person I love, and then during that love then the end before the farewell and then the love after the farewell. It’s the full story of all the emotions.”
In “Narcissus”, DAWN shows a more gentle, humble, and wise side to himself, one that has been through many challenges and came out with more poise and gratitude. It was also an opportunity for DAWN to tell his truth and not hold back on his emotions. All the songs in the album for DAWN felt like he was reading a 10-year diary.
“I’m still thinking about it now,” he says. “After I released it, it felt like I was publishing a book. I’m now feeling ‘Oh, that’s how I lived and that’s how I loved’. I wonder what kind of love I can [have] in the future? Will I be able to love? So there’s just a lot of emotions going back and forth right now.”
In the sweet ballad Star, DAWN sings about falling in love with a star and it not working out because they’re different people. He reflects he “doesn’t believe in who is wrong or right, but just their differences and acknowledges that is enough [to break down]”. Memory (featuring Kim Sawol) tells the male and female perspective of their memories of each other and their wish to erase their love in order to hurt a little less. DAWN describes this haunting melody as sci-fi meets fantasy “inspired by the film Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.” There are some love songs Fallin (featuring pH-1)’ and Abyss, English tracks, that describe falling in love and the lengths they would go for their loved one.
Compared to “Dawndididawn”, which DAWN says established him as a commercialized idol, “Narcissus” is about who he is now as Hyo Jong rather than the character DAWN. For many years, DAWN has kept Hyo Jong in the dark and is now ready for the world to meet Hyo Jong.
“This album is [both] DAWN and Hyo Jong, the person,” DAWN reveals. “An album containing my story that shows me, the real me. That’s why this album feels different.”
As for the fans and people who are dissecting the album, DAWN says it’s natural for fans to be intrigued by his personal life. It comes with the territory of being a public figure but hopes that audiences will feel different kinds of love when listening to the album. Not just romantic love or the feeling of love, but the many aspects of love.
“There are so many different emotions of feeling loved,” Dawn explains. “It [could be] feeling nervous about meeting a person for the first time or feeling hurt because they’re going through a breakup. I just want people to listen to this album and feel their own emotions about love because this album is about that.”

VOCALOID LEGENDS - 2018 Part 3
#376 - Star Night Snow (n-buna, Orangestar) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 18-03-05, Upload Date: 17-01-06
Another interesting duo collaboration for YukiMiku and also one of the more famous of the themes. Very much reminds me of the crystal clear snow, very much n-buna base with a Orangestar melody and instrumentation to a certain extent. I think Orangestar brings out his more rock side on this song, which is quite interesting.
#377 - Love Philosophia (KuroUsa-P) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 18-03-20, Upload Date: 12-05-28
KuroUsa-P’s follow up to Senbonzakura, kind of a return to the romantic style, but still keeping his distance with a heaping of jazz. The lyrics won’t feel out of place with songs like ACUTE and Risky Game though. I like how KuroUsa-P is branching out a bit.
#378 - Ai Dee (Mitchie M) [Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka]
Achievement Date: 18-03-28, Upload Date: 12-06-09
One of my favorite Mitchie M songs, I think the producer nails the idol style here and I just love the corny Luka rap so much… While I do adore the silliness in his later songs, this strikes the balance between stylish and corny that Mitchie M is known for.
#379 - Murder Case at The Mansion of Antiquarian Books (Teniwoha) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 18-03-29, Upload Date: 12-07-03
Yes! Teniwoha didn’t just come out of nowhere with Villain! Teniwoha had a phase of fame back in ‘12 and ‘13, and he just kind of disappeared until Villain brought him back. His early songs reflected his idea as writer, the start of the High School Girl Detective series, the song feels very different than haunting sounds of his later songs, in fact it sounds more like story songs from its time, like mothyP or any of rock greats.
#380 - Roki (MikitoP) [Kagamine Rin, MikitoP]
Achievement Date: 18-04-22, Upload Date: 18-02-27
Another instant classic, and one that put MikitoP into more than a niche producer. The cheeky satire of the rocker mindset, the self-sung duo makes the song have this extra edge that makes it instantly memorable, and probably signal the kind of song that will dominate the market in two years or so when TikTok starts to be a thing.

hi! just wanted to ask what IS vocaloid bc u post about it sometimes and im glad your enjoying it but i keep trying to figure out what it is andvim very confused is it a song? a game?? ??? thanks
oh my god i just lost several paragraphs. i’m redoing this but shorter. maybe thats better tho cuz i went full autism
vocaloid -> singing synthesizer by yamaha. colloquial term, at least in the west, for other singing synths as well, like utau (free vocaloid, usually gives characters attached to voices more personality), cevio, synthv, etc
games? -> they exist! most are attached to crypton, who made the world famous virtual idol miku. usually the first one people know and the most recognizable. my grandma could recognize her (my mom can recognize len really easily cuz he’s my fave) (see my profile pic, at least at the time of posting this)
Tumblr media
^ miku
the games are project diva, mirai, and sekai (this is the only mobile one and i am ADDICTED). there’s also a crappy gumi game and a decent ia game
other popular vocaloids besides cryptons (which are miku, luka, meiko, kaito, rin&len) -> flower, ia (who’s been moved to cevio i think) (adding this detail as if crypton hasnt made their own program and their characters arent technically vocaloids anymore), gumi, fukase is a popular fan favorite but yamaha has weird licensing stuff so there arent all that many original songs, especially not popular ones :(
vsinger is also cool and pretty popular and also deserves more western recognition! they gave most of their characters full backgrounds -> https://vocaloid.fandom.com/wiki/Zhiyu_Moke
also they made a ~12 minute long anime series
youtube
talkloids -> making them talk and it’s pretty popular on youtube but a lot of new ones are unfunny and i don’t rly like the popular fanon depiction of a lot of vocaloids
mmd/miku miku dance -> freeware cg animation software and is used for nico nico cho parties, also nnd parties are really cool cuz most vocaloid concerts are only singers from one company, this one has multiple and also utaus!
classic era producers -> hachi, ryo, livetune, wowaka (rip), deco*27 (still putting out vocaloid music), dixie flatline, pinocchio-p (also putting out vocaloid still), im probably forgetting some. all of these have at least two songs in project diva
my personal faves -> siinamota (rip), kinoshita, lamaze-p, nashimoto-p, sasanomaly, balloon, abu-se, daniwell-p
there are english vocaloids and plenty of the vocaloids i’ve mentioned above have english voicebanks but idr listen to english vocaloid a lot :p i like riproducer and ghost and pals tho! fukase gumi and yohioloid have good eng banks
character items -> usually fan decided and also usually food. has fallen out of fashion :( was mostly a v2 and utau thing. spring onions -> miku, oranges -> rin, bananas -> len, road rollers -> rin AND len, ice cream -> kaito, alcohol -> meiko, tuna -> luka, carrots? -> gumi, eggplant -> gakupo, french bread -> teto, coffee mill -> ruko, peaches -> momo (nyan cat), i KNOW that SOMEONE has a traffic light fetish, yes specifically a FETISH, i forgot who though
utatane piko -> deserves better and also my favorite (also sf-a2 miki, who is NOT stuck in v2 hell, was supposed to be like, a package deal thing like rin&len, or the meikas, or kiyoteru&yuki, but nooo they got split to different companies. im bitter about this)
meme squad -> dumb phrase for a trend in talkloids that seems to have started in 2016 (fukases release) and went into full swing around 2018. fukase, flower, piko, oliver, and sometimes len, usually as a scapegoat (which im :/ about). as much as i tend to dislike a lot of talkloids, i do like them all being friends. sometimes moke is there too because of the popular fan comic/ask blog love electric/vocalads!
also yeah nyan cat was a song originally sung by miku, made by daniwell, the one everyone KNOWS however, is sung by the utau momone momo. i love telling normal people this.
meta songs -> a lot of old vocaloid songs are them singing about being vocaloids and its cute and we need to bring it back :] but also it’s good we started making other songs, thank you ryo for helping kickstart that (there’s a video about this somewhere. i dont wanna risk losing my paragraphs again so i cant help :( soz).
usually when im posting abt vocaloid it’s about the characters or specific songs :]
ok thank you for letting me autism

SAKURA is a former competitive dancer with multiple national titles from both the united states & united kingdom. she began dancing at the age of 4, respectively.
first widely recognized as a replacement of the originals to the season 3 team on the american television show, dance moms, SAKURA made her reality TV debut in 2013. lee did not return to the show for season 4 due to her former company only planning to promote her for one season, and so she could continue training in south korea.
in 2021, SAKURA became an official licensed choreographer under P NATION, right before CORE4 participated on kingdom: legendary war. lee was also revealed to be one of the permanent choreographers for the SM girl group, aespa, on the same day.
in 2019, SAKURA went on hiatus for mental & psychological health reasons for 3.5 months due to former mistreatment along with untreated traumatic experiences.
lee is highly recognized in her home country. she made her first appearance as a mentor on the survival show, little mix: the search. she is constantly brought up on the list of celebrities who should participate on strictly come dancing in future seasons. primarily, she’s known for her hard work and influence.

SAKURA is an active participant in the writing & production process of CORE4’s music.
despite being against it, lee made her solo debut on january 1, 2019 with the single "DAISY" & her solo career skyrocketed from there. it was predicted that she would release her debut full-length album in summer 2022, but it didn’t ever happen.

South Korea and one of its most popular pop rock bands: DAY6
In South Korea not all music is about amazing dances, there are also pop rock bands that are highly underrated. I met DAY6 when I was going through a breakup and all I wanted to do was cry out loud, and they helped me to do that because their songs are the saddest I ever heard (and I also fell in love with them). At that time, they were doing a project called  ''Every Day6'' where they released one music video and one extra song on the 6th day of every month, that's when some songs like ''You were beautiful'' became famous in the k-pop world. This band consists of five members: Sungjin (main vocalist, guitarist), Jae (vocalist, rapper, guitarist), YoungK (main rapper, vocalist, bassist), Wonpil (lead vocalist, keyboardist) and Dowoon (drummer).
Tumblr media
This band is heavily self-produced, they compose and write all of their songs (because all of us who know this industry know that JYP is the worst). Although they don't promote much on music shows for their comeback stages because they asked the company to not treat them like an idol group.
Their songs are mostly about love and breakup, that's why I identified so much with them and then I started to listen all their albums while crying and looking for a love movie on Netflix. So, if you're heartbroken you should listen to ''The day'', ''Daydream'', ''Sunrise'' and ''Moonrise''.
Tumblr media
The first visit to Chile of this band was in 2018 and I had the opportunity to go to the concert (and scream, cry and sing like a crazy). They are super loving and funny, so they will probably make you fall in love. Maybe you can be a fan of them next time they come!

How K-pop Fans are powerful for political activism?
What are Fan and Fandom?
According to Fuschillo (2018, p. 348), a fan is defined as a person who has a strong, positive emotional attachment to someone or something well-known. A fandom can be known as a bunch of individuals who collectively like or support a single figure in popular culture, such as a television show, a book series, a film, an artist, or a performer (Wiest 2017). She mentioned that fandom can be derived from the phrase "fangirl," which originally referred to boisterous female fans. For K-pop fans, there would be an unique identity for one K-pop idol or groups. For instance, the fans of a K-pop idol, IU called Uaenas (Tubiera 2021).
Tumblr media
Fan Activism
Fan activism is referred to civic involvement and political engagement that stems from fandom experiences is a tremendous means of mobilization, especially for young people (Kligler-Vilenchik et al. 2012, p. 1).
Harry Potter Alliance (HPA)
The Harry Potter Alliance (HPA), called "Dumbledore's Army for the Real World," is one of the most amazing and unusual examples of fan activism, relying on plot arcs and themes from the Harry Potter series and consisting of over 30 separate chapters in the United States (Cinnamon 2010). The objective of the HPA is to create the model for a new sort of civic involvement that mixes pop culture, social change, and new technology that amplifies each voice hundreds of thousands of times (Cinnamon 2010).
The HPA makes effective use of Twitter, Facebook groups, a dedicated Ning site, a "Common Room," and direct collaboration with numerous NGO partners around the world (Cinnamon 2010). Several HPA's remarkable actions and standpoints have been showed to fight against genocide or repressive regimes by raising funds and organize an online petition protesting the war in Darfur, which produced a podcast viewed up to 120,000 times (Cinnamon 2010). Besides, the HPA has donated 14,000 books to a village in Rwanda as well as helped MASS EQUALITY to protect marriage equality by contacting Maine voters (Cinnamon 2010).
Racebending
Another example of fan activism is Racebending. It has first emerged as the "Aang Ain't White" movement to resist the recruitment of Caucasian actors as the four main Asian characters in a cinematic adaptation of the Nickelodeon cartoon Avatar the Last Airbender (Cinnamon 2010).
The activists began by utilizing LiveJournal as an online hub, and subsequently created a Facebook group to complement it. Loraine Sammy and Marissa Minna Lee, two of the activists, expanded "Aang Ain't White" into the broader Racebending movement (Cinnamon 2010).
As a movement, racebending is regarded as a creative outlet. Members have created over 130 YouTube videos, and a sketchbook with artists contributing for the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con, a comic, etc. (Cinnamon 2010).
How K-pop Fans work as a powerful force for Political Activism
Nowadays, fans can use social media to promote their favorite musicians outside of the region, country, or continent where they are actively promoted (Derseh 2019). In this K-pop generation, K-pop fans are active on almost every social media platform, including Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, and Twitch (Bruner 2020). Fans are the crucial contributors to generate various hashtags that go viral quickly especially on Twitter, either it is to commemorate an idol's birthday or to promote a new album release (Bruner 2020). For example, BTS fans have set numerous milestones for the total amount of Tweets sent and topics trending on Twitter. Another popular activity among K-pop fans on Twitter is the sharing of "fancams," which are video and photo compilations of a particular idol or group (Bruner 2020).
Black Lives Matter
The Dallas Police Department urged citizens to report footage of protest activities through the iWatch Dallas app following the outbreak of protests in the United States caused by the death of black man George Floyd.
youtube
In an effort to block authorities from tracking protesters' behavior, K-pop fans around the world inundated it with fan-recorded videos, known as fan cams, and memes of various K-pop musicians (Reddy 2020).
Tumblr media
Moreover, K-pop fans also flooded social media with anti-BLM hashtags including #AllLivesMatter, #BlueLivesMatter, and #WhiteLivesMatter. While this increased the popularity of such hashtags, it also made it more difficult for their original contents to be seen. K-pop fans, who had previously been mocked online for "fan cam spam," were praised as valuable allies of the protestors (Reddy 2020).
Tumblr media
On Twitter and Instagram, many K-pop musicians expressed their support for the cause, and some even donated to the BLM incident.
BTS has made a $1 million (£784,000) donation, fan club One In An Army (OIAA) organized its own fundraising drive and quickly matched the sum (Reddy 2020).
Tumblr media
Anti-government movement in Thailand
Thai K-pop fans joined an anti-government protest in October 2020, demanding for Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha to resign and increased restrictions on the monarchy's power. Thai fan organizations held fundraisers on various social media sites to support protest movements. Within nine hours, a Girls Generation Twitter fan page has raised 780,000 baht (US$25,000), and when combined with fan pages from other K-pop bands, it has raised nearly 4 million baht (US$128,000) within one week (Gan 2021).
After that, funds went towards protestor safety equipment and other organizations that support the protest agenda, such as Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, which provides pro-bono legal assistance to individuals who arrested and held by the military (Gan 2021).
According to Rawnsley (2021), the funds that went towards safety gear includes helmets, goggles, and umbrellas, yet the majority of it is being used to get young activists out of jail and through court cases.
Tumblr media
Civil Disobedience Movement in Myanmar
The coup started in Myanmar on 1 February, Myanmar-based fan groups have been holding fundraisers for the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) against the military government.
On 10 February, the Kai Nation Myanmar Fund Club (EXO's Kai's fan group) reportedly provided food to protestors, while Blackpink's Facebook fan page tweeted a screenshot of their 7 million kyat (US$4,265) donation to the Committee Representing Pyidaunsu Hluttaw (Gan 2021).
Individuals and groups from Myanmar, such as BTS, Twice, and Kai (EXO), have used their platforms to convey information about death tolls and everyday protest situations in support of the CDM (Gan 2021). Their posts can extend beyond their borders, not only because they frequently use hashtags like #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar and #SaveMyanmar, but also because they use hashtags like #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar and #SaveMyanmar to reach a wider audience (Gan 2021).
