The Wildwood Universe
What I hope is for this to finally be the mother of all shared universes.
A retroactive shared universe of over 900+ media consisting of movies, TV shows, video games etc. that is established and brought together by The Wildwood Chronicles. The whole universe explores completely different tones and aesthetics with all numerous kinds of stories. It's also a universe that's incredibly similar to ours except with very noticeable differences and is far more fantastical, bizarre or visceral. The biggest ones are the ostracized Marley and Eldia side with the man-eating Titans, the cut-off zombie outbreak side with said zombies dubbed "walkers" and don't even get me started on the Observers. Oh, and did I also forget to mention there are public superheroes and supervillains in this world with their own guilds.

When someone dies, we look at the last thing he or she said in hopes of finding a summation of life. A deep truth that those of us above ground can cling to. Like the novelist Daniel Defoe. “I do not know which is more difficult, to live well or to die well.”

so many plot points on oz hinge on the fact that toby is the most gullible asshole to ever wander into prison.

the deliberate costume choice w beecher wearing keller''s shirt in s5 when they're apart. and not only that but its the shirt from s4e12 which is the last thing keller wore before he left. the careful way fontana and the writers treated their relationship is just sooo like i dont even have words.

My first real Fandom was for the show Oz. It was pretty queer if dated in a lot of its concepts of queer people. My favorite character was Chris Keller. He was a psychopath who murder people, betrayed Tobias Beecher, the love of his life many, many times. Still the writing makes him so compelling. I cried when he dies. I did not think it was a bad ending but I was sad.
I have thought Izzy was going to die since season one. I understand the arc for him even if it is devasting.
The point of all of this is that there are legitimate reasons why I thought the ofmd s2 finale was bad. Yes I loved Izzy. Absolutely any death would make me cry, but not every death would make me disappointed/mad.
I get it. Writers get to make whatever creative decision they want, but audiences get to analyze and critique it. Sometimes they love it, other times they have legitimate reason not to watch it again.
