There was a thunderstorm outside, usually you would be doing something out of the house, but this weather prevented you from doing so.

It's spring and the flowers are almost fully grown, but currently you couldn’t see much of natures beauty.

It was dark and the rain was falling down heavy.

You and Elijah were sat on your bed, he was your best friend. Although his siblings seem to think you both have feelings for each other. They have not given up on that idea even if you both deny it every day.

His hand was resting on your waist, and he was reading one of your favorite books, Pride and Prejudice. The only source of light was the small lamp on the nightstand.

Him reading to you was your favorite thing. His voice was so soothing and his accent was incredibly delightful to hear.

His hand lifts from your waist and went to stroke your hair. He adored playing with your hair, he braided it a lot.

You felt your eyes getting heaving, the sound of the rain, his voice, and him playing with your hair caused you to start to drift asleep.

You leave your head against his shoulder and snuggled into his side. A smile pulled at his lips and he glances down at you. You look so peaceful, he thought to himself.

A short while later, you were listening to his reading until you fell into a calm slumber against him.

He hears your heart at a slow and steady pace and your light breathing. He looks at you and kisses your forehead.

He puts the book down and turns the lamp off. He closes his eyes, and finds himself falling asleep as well.

His siblings downstairs heard him stop reading and tiptoed upstairs to peak in the room.

Kol, Klaus, and Bekah’s heads were sideways as they took the in scene in front of them. Elijah was sound asleep with his head on yours, which was resting against him. One arm around the back of you and on resting on top of your stomach.

They quickly head back down stairs and start giggling about how cute you both are together.

Killing Kol

I hate Elena Gilbert for many reasons but the first is her killing of Kol, but it is more complicated than just killing Kol, it was her reasons...

Elena, the selfless Empath, planned the slaughter of not just one person but every vamp of his line. Killing Kol, an original vampire, would decimate every one of his line. That could be tens of thousands over a thousand years! The suffering of their loved ones, the people they impacted on a daily basis, all ignored for Elena's need for the cure, a curse she never even used for crying out loud!

What irked me most was that the story still had to adjust the fight so it was self defense, and yet Elena gets off scott free entirely... and is still considered justified!

She was a monster with a sweet face and I hate it... The series had a serious agenda to make her the constant victim and it made the watching experience all the harder...

What do you think, am I too hard on her or do you agree?

So... yeah!

I like to believe that when the Originals show their vampire face, it's a bit different from other vampires.

When their eyes turn red, they're a shade darker.

When their veins pop out beneath their eyes, they're bigger and darker.

When they show their fangs, they're just a bit longer.

Just as Klaus said, they are pure vampire while everyone else is "a diluted bloodline".

Elena and Rebekah could have been good friends if Elena didn't drive the silver stake with ash through her heart.

You can spot scenes where Rebekah laughs at Elena's comments and even smiles at certain points they arent the focus points so a lot is missed but if not for that they definitely could have been friends.

Chapter 21 "Long Live to the King and Queen"

The day had finally come, Caroline and Klaus would be united in holy matrimony, well Norse matrimony with the addition of a witch, which was Bonnie. Caroline wouldn't take anyone else and Klaus had no complaints.

Rumors flew around Mystic Falls, and even in the vampire world that the hybrid Klaus had recently become a father and was finally tying the knot with a young vampire, and his brother Elijah was dating one of the Petrova doppelgangers, but this kind of rumors always followed the Mikaelsons wherever they went.

Sheriff Forbes had arrived early at the Mikaelson Mansion to help her daughter get ready and had met little Hope.

"Oh Caroline, she's so sweet! She reminds me of you when you were a baby!" Said the sheriff, holding Hope in her arms, being watched by Hayley who couldn't stop smiling at her daughter. Hayley had put Hope to sleep on her bed, by her side, and she wouldn't let her daughter out of her sight since she had gotten to the mansion.

"Oh, how was Caroline when she was a baby?" Asked Klaus, arriving at the living room where they were. He held Caroline's waist, bringing her close to his body.

"She was really sweet, but she wouldn't let me sleep at night! Always wanted her dad around, and loved to bite me whenever she got the chance." Answered Liz. Caroline covered her face.

"Argh, Mom seriously!" Klaus laughed at Caroline.

"Perhaps you were destined to become a vampire, my love."

"Yes, and die of embarrassment on my wedding day."

"C'mon love, I want to know what you were like!"

"Klaus, I swear to God…"

That's how Elena woke up in her shared room with Elijah. The original vampire was already awake, caressing her hair, while his other hand lay on her waist. She smiled and looked at him.

"Hi," She said.

"Good morning my love." He said, kissing her.

"You seem happy"

"I am, I'm always happy when I'm with you love." Elena put her hand on his neck.

"I don't want to be away from you all day." She said.

"Me neither, but we were chosen as best man and maid of honor. But" He said, changing positions and staying on top of her. "It will be an honor to walk with you down the aisle, love," He said, kissing her neck. Elena threw her head back, giving him more space. She knew what he wanted to do but was too afraid to do it because of the red door.

"Elijah," She said, holding his head between her hands, forcing him to look at her. "It's okay, I know you're afraid. We destroyed it, we destroyed the red door. I trust you. Bite me, my love, you want to and we both need it."

Letting her see his face getting transformed, he leaned down and bit her neck, drinking from her essence of life, feeling her heart beat fast against her chest. Elena let her fangs come down and bit his shoulder, his body immediately reacting to her touch. Elena clutched to his back, trapping his body. He held his arms around her, doing the same.

Elijah knew Elena was the one for him, but now he knew: she was his mate.

It wasn't easy for a vampire to find their mate, but once they did, they would never and could never be apart. It was only that person for them and no one else. Elijah and Elena felt a surge of energy coming through them. It felt like shock waves, a blissful feeling. They were truly mates. When they stopped drinking, with him kissing her neck, he said:

"Did you feel that, my love?"

"Yes, I did."

"Do you know what it means?" He asked, caressing her face. Elena shook her head. "It means we're mates, my love." Elena smiled and held him close.

"I love you, Elijah."

"I love you too, my lovely Elena."

Later that day, with the mansion decorated with daisies and the finest decoration money could buy, Caroline was getting ready with Elena and Sheriff Forbes, while Klaus, with his three-piece suit, all in white with a daisy attached to his clothes, was receiving the guests with his brother until he realized something was off.

"Niklaus, what's wrong?" Asked Elijah.

"I'll be right back, brother." He replied.

"Please, don't get your suit dirty, Caroline would hate it."

"I won't," Klaus said, smiling, going to the woods behind the mansion. Walking a bit further into it, he said:

"You've got a lot of nerve coming here, on my wedding day"

"You don't deserve her." Said Tyler Lockwood, showing up behind him. Klaus turned around.

"The only reason I let you live it's because I made a promise to Caroline, and the reason I won't hurt you right now it's because I don't want to get dirty for my wedding."

"No, I think you're just afraid. You know your father is coming."

"And how would you know that?"

"It's amazing how much your own mother hates you. She made sure to tell me everything." Klaus ran to him and said in a threatening tone:

"I think you should leave, or I'll remove your heart from your chest and eat it at my wedding."

"You wouldn't kill me, you might hate me but Caroline and Elena are my friends."

"Lucky for my brother, I am not" Said Kol, suddenly showing up. He lifted his arm and Tyler was lifted off the ground, burning because of the sun. "Tell our mother to back off or she'll be the one to die next." Dropping Tyler on the ground, Kol finished. "Now leave before Elijah comes here and rips your heart out"

Kol and Klaus were returning to the mansion, with Tyler still on the ground, when the former werewolf said:

"She'll come for your daughter, she'll come for her and there's nothing you can do to stop her."

Klaus ran to him and said:

"If my mother comes anywhere near my child, that will be the last day of her life, and I'll find a way to curse her spirit."

Finally leaving Tyler, both of the brothers return to the mansion.

"Not a speck of dirt on your suit, Niklaus. I'm sure Caroline will be pleased." Said Elijah.

"You sent Kol after me, didn't you?" Asked Klaus, seeing Kol going after Davina.

"I didn't put past you to not resort to violence brother."

"Tyler Lockwood said mother is after Hope, Elijah." Said Klaus, looking at Hope, who was stealing all the attention of the guests to herself being held by Hayley with Rebekah near them.

"We'll take care of that when it comes to it, brother. Today is your wedding day. Don't let mother ruin it for you."

The guests started to take their place, while a song Caroline had specially picked for this occasion began to play. Bonnie took her place, and Elijah waited for Elena at the end of the aisle. When the brunette showed up, wearing a pink satin gown, with a crown of flowers, along with a bouquet of daisies, the original vampire almost cried. It was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. He smiled and held her arm in his. Both of them walked the aisle that was covered in white rose petals. Elena went to her side of the aisle, and everyone stood up for Caroline's entrance.

Walking with her, wearing a pale pink suit was Sheriff Forbes, who had a daisy on her suit as well. Caroline, who had kept her wedding dress a secret from Klaus, was wearing a white version of the blue dress he had given her for the Mikaelson ball, holding a bouquet of daisies. Her veil was held by a flower crown, her hair loose, like it was when they met. The only jewelry she was wearing was the ring he had given her, besides her daylight ring. Klaus started to cry tears of emotion. She was the most beautiful and gorgeous woman he had ever seen. Tears also started to fall from Caroline's eyes.

When they reached Klaus, Caroline hugged her mom, who kissed her face. Sheriff Forbes was also crying. Liz stood beside Elena, who grabbed Caroline's bouquet. Bonnie started speaking.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Niklaus Mikaelson and Caroline Forbes. But this ceremony is going to be a bit different. The Mikaelsons are a family of tradition, Norse tradition. And to begin, we'll do the exchange of protection. It means they'll both protect each other to the end." Elijah handed Klaus one of the daggers and Caroline, surprisingly after her mother agreed, was handed her mother's batch by Elena. Klaus gave her the dagger, and Caroline gave him her mother's batch, which was handed to Elijah and Elena respectively. "Now to the handfasting" Caroline and Klaus held hands and Bonnie looked at it. Suddenly a gold chain bound both of their hands, starting at their wrists and ending at their fingers. "You may say your vows," Klaus started.

"Caroline, when I met you I knew you were the one for me. I knew you were my queen. I already loved you. I couldn't explain why this small-town woman had my heart wrapped around her hands, but she did, and I'm glad she did. You love me in spite and despite all I've done, you've brought my heart back to life and I promise you I will always love you, cherish you, and protect you, no matter what even if I have to give my life." He finished kissing her forehead.

"Klaus…" Caroline began, the emotions flooding her."I always knew you were not the villain of my story, even if everyone was saying you were the worst guy I could go for." Everyone laughed. "I was thinking of when I fell in love with you and it was here, in this mansion. When you held me in your arms I was acting coldly but I knew. I had fallen hard and there was nothing I could do about it. I love you Niklaus Mikaelson, perhaps more than you love me. And I promise to always love you, no matter what." Klaus had to fight against everything to not kiss her.

"The rings" Said Bonnie. Both Elijah and Elena gave Klaus and Caroline their rings. Klaus looked at Caroline's eyes, holding her hand, saying.

"I, Niklaus Mikaelson, take you, Caroline Forbes, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. By the strength of Thor's hammer, I vow to protect and cherish you. By the light of the sun and the power of the gods, I pledge to love and honor you always. There shall be one end for us both; one bond after our vows; nor shall our first love aimlessly perish. Happy am I to have won the joy of such a consort; I shall not go down basely in loneliness to the gods of Tartarus. With this ring, I thee wed. I give you my heart and soul and promise to love and cherish you always. I promise to be your faithful husband, to stand by your side through thick and thin, and to love and support you for all eternity." And he slid the ring on her finger.

Holding his hand now, Caroline said:

"I, Caroline Forbes, take you, Niklaus Mikaelson, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. By the strength of Thor's hammer, I vow to protect and cherish you. By the light of the sun and the power of the gods, I pledge to love and honor you always. "I declare you husband and wife." Said Bonnie. "You may kiss your wife!" Klaus and Caroline smiled.

He slowly takes her hand in his, gazing into her sparkling blue eyes, he can see the love and adoration she has for him reflected in her eyes, and his heart swells with warmth and happiness.

Without warning, Klaus leans in and places a soft kiss on Caroline's lips. The guests gasp in surprise, but Klaus and Caroline are lost in their own world, their kiss deepening with each passing moment. They are no longer aware of the world around them, all they can feel is the intense love and passion they have for each other.

Finally, they break their kiss, both breathless and glowing with happiness. Klaus holds Caroline close to him, their bodies fitting perfectly together as if they were made for each other. They share a knowing smile, and a silent promise of a lifetime of love and happiness together.

As they make their way through the aisle hand in hand, the guests cheer and applaud.

Later that evening, after all the pictures and speeches, Elena decides to take a break in the mansion's backyard, which was also decorated with lights and daisies.

"There you are." Said Elijah, finding her and holding her.

"It was a beautiful ceremony." Said Elena, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"It was, but I beg that my girlfriend was so much more beautiful." He said, smiling. "Would you want that someday?"

"Getting married? Absolutely. What about you?"

"Only if it's with you," He said. Elena looked up. Elijah smiled and kneeled down in front of her. "I have spent eternity alone Elena, I thought I knew what love was until you came into my life. Nothing compares to it. You brought this dead man's heart back to life. I…I went to your parent's grave and asked them permission for your hand in marriage. There's nobody else I would love to spend eternity with. Elena Gilbert, would you give me the outstanding honor of being my wife?" Elijah revealed a ring in a velvet box. Glistening in the soft light of the setting sun, was a stunning diamond and pearl ring. The diamond sparkled like a thousand stars and the pearls added a touch of elegance and timeless beauty. Elena started to cry again and kneel down.

"Yes! Yes! Yes of course I'll be your wife!"Elijah smiled and slid the ring on her finger. Elijah smiled and held her face.

As their lips met in a passionate kiss, Elena felt a rush of emotions wash over her. The warmth of Elijah's touch, the taste of his lips, the love and adoration in his eyes - it was all too much for her to handle. She couldn't believe that this man, who she had dreamed of spending the rest of her life with, was now her fiancé. It seemed like just yesterday they were walking in the Lockwood garden and now, here they were, engaged and madly in love.

Elijah pulled back from the kiss, his hand still gently caressing her cheek.

"I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love," Elijah said, his voice filled with a mixture of excitement and tenderness.

Tears of joy welled up in Elena's eyes as she looked at the man in front of her. She reached up to cup his face in her hands and whispered

"I love you, Elijah."

"I love you, my lovely Elena"

And amid chaos, the Mikaelsons had a day of peace. At least for now.

You had stormed into the grill after yet again being babied by Damon because you were his girlfriend's 'baby' sister, only to be found by Kol, who had compelled you a drink.

It had been an hour since you had started drinking with Kol and the two of you were utterly hammered and leaning into each other, laughing like school children.

Damon stalks over to you, giving Kol an angry glare before grabbing your arm gently as his stormy blue eyes soften. "What the hell are you doing with him?" he breathes, glad that you're okay even if he did find you with a Mikaelson.

Kol gave an insulted expression as he swirled his whiskey around in the glass. "Hey! We're just trying to have a good time here, mate." his last word came out with a growl.

"Not here and definitely not with her" Sensing the ancient immortal's dangerous aura, Damon picked you up off the stool as Kol rolled his eyes in annoyance. His time with his new favorite human was cut way too short.

he would be very confident around you. trying to let his charm work on you.

he wouldn’t want to admit it to himself at first. lying to himself. he just doesn’t want you to get involved into anything dangerous.

that’s also the reason he acts cold around you after new vampire attacks happened in New Orleans. he just doesn’t want to see you get hurt because he would blame himself for the end of time.

klaus isn’t one to fall in love fast or often. so be sure that when he really falls in love with someone then he means it and he would do anything in his power to get you to love him back.

he always compliments you.

he always smiles when he sees you. you just make him so happy and whenever he sees you, everything starts making sense to him.

literally can’t stop talking about you to Elijah.
