So I’ve been going through and adding particularly good fics I’ve read throughout the year. Only Complete fics, of course. Enjoy!

I included my username on the paper, too, so you can add me once you’re done."
Her partner skimmed through the words on the paper and nodded his head. “Brilliant as always, M’lady. I’m surprised we didn’t figure this out sooner within our superhero careers.”
“Yeah, it would’ve been nice to have this before, but hey, better late than never. Make sure not to have your phone screen on the messages if you’re going to leave it somewhere. We don’t want anyone reading our texts. Also, this is for emergencies only. No jokes or puns. I can only deal with you for so long.”
“I don’t know if I can agree to that last one,” he said.
Now 22 and working full-time, Marinette and Adrien seem to be getting busier and busier, which means fewer opportunities to keep track of akumas and show up on time. With the idea of using a messaging app to communicate with each other without revealing their identities, their lives immediately grew to be easier... until it wasn't.
This starts off as a mostly slice-of-life fluff fic, but about halfway through things turn dramatic when Monarch learns some things he really shouldn’t and takes action. I had a lot of fun with it as it was coming out, it’s worth a read.

Kwami Magi Homura Magica by Crossoverpairinglover
After eighty-four loops in time, Homura Akemi takes a new path to Paris to save her friends.
The sixty-third loop after that, Homura arrived at the Agreste Mansion.
After clash after clash with the heroes of Paris and its greatest menace, events have reached a tipping point.
Ladybug faces someone verging on a second wish, a wish that endangers space and time to save a friend.
This was an absolutely AMAZING story that crossoverpairinglover dropped out of NOWHERE. Seriously, if you like Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Miraculous Ladybug, this is a real treat - but be prepared to sit down and binge, because it’s over 100,000 words and only has three chapters.
Anyway, I adore the care that’s taken with going through Homura’s mindset here, she gets a lot of character focus. And the lore! There’s some good explanations here for the history behind kwamis and Incubators’ interactions, and the Order of the Guardians normally treats Magical Girls, and why the Incubators are wrong in their assessment of the universe needing more energy to stave off entropy (hint: it involves Plagg), and just... there was a lot of love put into this.
And the action! Most Miraculous fics don’t have much in the way of fight scenes, and what they do have is mostly just functional. This is one of the rare exceptions. There’s some really long, detailed fight scenes in this (roughly the entire second half of the second chapter has one between Ladybug and Homura), which are a treat to read!
We also get some glimpses into a variety of other universes here, other timelines, alternate ways things could have gone down - I’m especially partial to the rather detailed view we get of one where Homura sent a message asking for help to the Ladyblog on her third time loop, and how things progressed from there.
The ending I also thought was really good, a happy ending that generally made sense and dealt with the issue of the Incubators.
If you can’t tell I’m really happy with this fic, it was incredible and unexpected. The length of the individual chapters can be daunting, but if you’re up for the task, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

It’s hard to be a normal girl with a normal life when your mother has terminal cancer. And when fashion model Adrien Agreste moves back to Paris and wants to be Marinette’s friend – or maybe even more – her life is turned upside down again.
How can she risk opening her heart to love when her whole world is falling apart? Especially when Adrien is hiding a dark secret of his own….

This fic can be rough, definitely pay attention to the tags. There’s no villains in this story, it mostly centers around themes of dealing with illness - both being sick and having a loved one who’s terminally ill - and death, grieving someone who’s lost, and how difficult that can be. It can get pretty gut-wrenching at times, especially as you slowly discover more layers of what’s really going on, what both Adrien and Marinette are hiding, both from others and from themselves in order to help cope with their circumstances. But they still move forwards together, regardless.

If you want a good “Adrien doesn’t realize how abusive his father is but slowly buckles more and more under his tyranny, until things come to a head, and he actually gets the HELP HE NEEDS” fic, this is a good one!

Between the Heavens and the Embers by @readersmoon
Everyone in Paris remembers the fateful night of January 16, when the city was attacked by the most powerful and destructive akuma ever created. The assault, which lasted for hours, resulted in the death of 439 people.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng was among the casualties.
Years later, Adrien hasn't been able to move on, haunted by the memories of her broken body. So, when the opportunity to leave Paris for a while presents itself, he doesn't hesitate. But this trip might end up giving him more than he ever dreamt of.
This is a fantastic fic, though a serious and a dark one - make sure to mind the tags, and it’s M-rated for a reason. Vee - or rather, Marinette - is going through a horror story here. Imagine finding out that your life is a lie, that everyone you thought you could trust was manipulating you, that you were just being continually gaslit for years.
As for Adrien, Alya, and Nino... well, none of them took Marinette’s “death” all that well, especially Adrien. Finding out that she’s been alive all this time, in these horrible circumstances, and they had no clue... it’s hard on them as well.
I love how this fic goes into how much trauma everyone has even after the immediate danger’s dealt with, you don’t just walk off this kind of experience, especially with how many years this lasted.

Technoarcheologist and Inquisitor
Aboard the Ark Mechanicus Deimos’s Cog the living quarters of the current head of the First Deimos Explorator Fleet was not which one would expect out of the living quarters of a tech priest. By and large the quarters are separated into two different sections, one of them was exactly what you would expect machines and incense and work tables and private spaces for veneration stretched out for hundreds of square meters, it was a private site of innovation and as well held a small meeting space where senior tech priests of the fleets synod or Skitarii Marshals could meet personally with Fabricator Minoris Technoarcheologist Magos Domina Aleph-Gimmel Bellerov-2.0. there was even space enough for the head of the accompanying chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, Artificer Siderénia Teleiótita, to sit comfortably. Accompanying Admiral Ezekiel Bendavid of an Imperial flotilla similarly had a designated if auster chair.
The other half however of Aleph-Gimmel’s private quarters seem to be something straight out of the second millennia in Old Earth. Still covered in icons of the Machine God this section of rooms seemed almost comfortable. At Great expense it had been covered in wood paneling, as well as seats made with cushions for both baseline humans and rather augmented tech priests to be able to longue. Aleph-Gimmel also personally oversaw the construction of a kitchen and accompanying amsec cellar room as well as room for dining. Strangest of all rooms in an almost a mirror to the rest station on the other half of these quarters where she could simply plug in and rejuvenate there was a classic four-poster terran bed and private study.
Aleph-Gimmel only let a select few into that last space. She had learned the importance of being able to cater both to her own tastes and guests while serving as a diplomat for her fleet.
Today however was a much more informal situation. However it was just as important, if not more.
Aleph-Gimmel sat at the head of the dining table. Her chair was specially crafted in order to accommodate her panoply of augmentations and exploratory machines attached to her back and wired into her head. She had retained the use of her digestive system exclusively for nights like this, otherwise it was possible for her to gain nutrients the same way as many tech priests, through intravenous methods.
As she waited, she looked down at her glass of Squire’s Rest Amsec. She was running through the calculations in her head for the first time this person meeting her in this room would be thrown off take priests normally did not keep such quarters however that may not last the entire night. This was going to be a meeting not formally not between the leaders of any such organizations supposedly between friends. If she could be said to have such. The viscosity of the amsec was 0.2, well with acceptable parameters. Her emotional regulator let her know that neurotransmitters flagging the feeling of emotion of anxiety were being generated. She flagged them for destruction.
Another alert buzzed through her noospheric sensors that the doors to this room were being opened.
The figure that emerged into the room was wearing black armor, as well as standard imperial uniform that was issued usually to its officers of the highest order. Her skin was dark and beautiful. It was marred only by an ocular implant and scarring around it. Most glaring however was a chain around the figure's neck.
An Inquisitorial rosette in gleaming gold and silver hung from it.
Her grey eyes looked down at Aleph-Gimmel and the matching set of plates at the tail end of the table and decanter ready to be poured. “Fabricator Minoris Technoarcheologist Magos Domina Aleph-Gimmel Bellerov-2.0.”
With that she stood up and gave a small bow. “Inquisitor Seraph Seraphdottior, please take your seat. I have arranged for this dinner for you.” The magi’s voice though organic was carefully modulated. Ste similarly kept a small non threatening smile upon the her face. If she were to leave this meeting alive it would take every ounce of her expertise.
Sera looked around the room covered in itchings of cogwheels and skulls on the wood. She then pulled out the seat and sat in it. “You've made quite the renovations since Omega… what did you tell the Greater Deimosian Synod? She died in battle?”
The artificial vox box that Aleph-Gimmel had installed in herself played out a recording of the message sent out. “As a result of the battle that has taken place on Erophant III, Fabricator Minoris Magos Domina Omega Bellerov-1.0 has died and the Fleet Synod of Deimos’s First Fleet has elected to select myself, Fabricator Minoris Technoarcheologist Magos Domina Aleph-Gimmel Bellerov-2.0 to be her successor in leading the fleet amongst the mysteries of the Omnissiah. Erophant III has been liberated.” A moment passed and then once more with her organic voice, “The first course is coming! I do hope you enjoy these Ultramarian cheeses, Inquisitor, they were selected at great expense.”
A pair of servitors walked into the room, each carrying platters. They had implants that made them seem like they had been specially designed for serving dinners. Sera’s icy eyes seemed to take note of them before the platter was placed between the two in the table. Aleph-Gimmel reached out with her unaugmented hand to grab some of the food. Her hand though unaugmented was still covered in jet black mechanistic tattoos.
After a period of silence The Inquisitor once more broke it. “Do you understand why I'm here, Magos?” Sera, even as the tech priest was eating happily and taking the occasional sip of fine amsec, have not touched a single plate and was instead standing still and grim as a statue in an ecclesiarchical nave.
“For dinner?” It was halfway between a joke and a sarcastic common calculated just well enough to make The Inquisitor smile or even laugh perhaps this would put her at ease.
It did not.
Sera Seraphdottior picked up the knife set beside her for later in the meal. “I am well aware of the corruption that ran through your fleet. And I'm here to ensure that it has been purged and removed. Omega Bellerov-1.0’s taint by Khorne it's not as secret as you made it out to be. I will be allowed full inspection of your facilities I tell you only now Magos, as a favor due to our previous engagements. I will be beginning with your Metallica Class Factoryships”
Aleph-Gimmel remembered well the time that she'd run across the Inquisitor before and a happily aided her with whatever was needed. “I can assure you that any sympathizers or others corrupted were swiftly launched into the Erophant System’s star.” To continue nibbling on a piece of cheese as she spoke. The next course was due to begin both of their plates, one well used one utterly empty, removed and replaced with another set of fine China similarly emblazoned with the symbols of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
“You are indeed credit to Deimos and Mars Aleph, however,” she looked around the room. “Keep your eccentricities in line. I would hate for them to develop down a similarly destructive path. You already have an abnormal taste for luxury.”
“I can assure you that my devotion to the Omnissiah, The Emperor On Earth, The Motive Force, and Machine God is total and utter.” It came out far angrier and stronger than she had intended but Aleph-Gimmel would not take such accusations lying down. She was the leader of a Synod for the Emperor's sake!
“Good.” The rest of the dinner concluded in silence neither wishing to speak more.
Inquisitor Sera Seraphdottior left, and her ship detached itself from Deimos’s Cog.
Aleph-Gimmel slumped down the back of her chair. She sent out a summons to trustworthy Skitarii Marshall, there was much to be done.

DC Universe Holiday Special #1 (2008)
Another of my favourite Christmas Specials.
The Man In Red – Santa Claus. An origin story for Santa Claus, modelled on Clark’s histoy. (Hits all the beats of a Last Son of Krypton recounting)
Somewhere Beyond the Sea – Aquaman! You know who I haven’t seen in any of the compilations yet? Arthur! We’ve had Garth, but no Arthur. In any case this is uh quite a story. Arthur rescues a couple lost at sea in a boat, the woman extremely pregnant. He's guided to shore by his father's lighthouse...only to realise it was a star behind the lighthouse, not the lighthouse itself. When the couple gets ashore they're met by two men 'dressed like kings' (this is the point when I groaned). Yes, Arthur's the third Magi/Wise Man here.
Instinctively, willingly, I join them and knee before her and her unborn child. I look at the other men, who came bearing gifts. I feel ashamed because... "I'm sorry. I have no gifts to give."
"No, Sea King, you gave me the most important gift of all."
They walk away. I know I will never see her again, never meet her child, I should feel empty, but this is the most special of nights. I fight every urge to join them. Instead I make my way to my one true home, the sea.
Good King Wenceslas – this is a Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen team, if you need selling on it. It's just the main verses of the Christmas Carol, but it's done as an Elseworlds where the King is the Bat and the Page is a Robin (The peasant is Alfred).
A Day Without Sirens – Commissioner Gordon, Batman, Oracle. The premise is the city bands together for a day without the need for emergency calls or police intervention. Jim gets a little bit of hope (Oracle actually diverted the phones for a day and had Supergirl doing all the work, as a Christmas present for her dad).
Reminiscent of and in conversation with The Silent Night of the Batman from Batman #219.
It’s a Wonderful Night – Nightwing and Robin. This one I know inside and out. Tim goes to a Christmas Eve showing of It’s a Wonderful Life because it was Jack’s favourite Christmas movie. He runs into Owen Mercer there for the same reason, which makes things awkward as their dads killed each other. Dick, who’s been looking for Tim, arrives and gives Tim his Christmas present: one of Dick’s original costumes, a gift that he manages to sneak in RIGHT under the deadline of oncoming events, as Battle for the Cowl starts only three months later.
Christmas With The Beetles – Blue Beetle. The story of four generations of a criminal family and breaking the cycle, through the lens of three generations of Blue Beetle. (It's sweet. It's exactly the sort of ethos I love to see in a Blue Beetle story).
An Angel Told Me – Huntress. 'Teacher!Helena and her students'. In this one Helena lends a hand to one of her students, Alejandro, who is about to be suspended for bullying and who has an abusive homelife. She gets the kid's father locked up for drug possession and illegal firearms, so he'll be placed in care with his grandmother, and gets his suspension transferred to helping her with the 'Reach' program, which is community assistance for disabled students. (The depiction of autism in this is very stereotyped, and it's clearly not the ONLY disability in play)
The Night Before Christmas – Teen Titans. They all go to a Christmas market.
Jaime and Traci are an adorable couple in this.
But the meat of the story is Cassie and Tim, who are both more settled now, after One Year Later has finally fully spooled out, and able to talk about their losses.
(Also I've always adored the art and colour in this story, which is by Michael Dimotta and of a style you really don't see in superhero comics much)
Party Animal – JLA. John Stewart and Roy Harper capture Shaggyman right during the start of the JLA holiday party. Vixen, who's organising it, orders them both up there asap so the two decide to bring Shaggy along.
It's very much an office party.
Let There Be Light – Doctor Light. This is basically a character history piece of Kimiyo Hoshi for people unfamiliar with her backstory and motivations. The villain fight she's in knocks out the Metropolis power grid, so Doctor Light turns it back on.

Neon Genesis Evangelion 11
Most of this episode is just characters restating the problem over and over.
Basically, Tokyo-3 experiences a power outage. The NERV base is also affected, which results in Misato and Kaji getting trapped in an elevator the whole time.
What makes this especially irritating is that the story keeps teasing interesting plot developments only to abandon them immediately. For example, the episode opens with Ritsuko and other NERV staffers discussing the three Magi supercomputers that run Tokyo-3's government. So maybe the blackout is tied in with the Magi? No, it's not. Ritsuko had planned to run tests on Eva Unit 00 today, so maybe that's what caused the blackout. No, it wasn't that.
Oooh, maybe Gendo Ikari sabotaged his own facility, as part of some weird scheme he's up to... nope, he doesn't know who did it either. He just knows it must have been a human enemy, which is ironic, since NERV is trying to save humanity from the Angels. Well, at least it'll be fun to unmask the saboteur... no, that never happens. If we ever find out who did this, it isn't in this episode.
Vice Commander Clownshoes points out how it would be disastrous if an Angel attacked at a moment like this, and that's exactly what happens. So you'd think this episode would be focused on getting the power back in time to fight the thing, but not quite.
Mostly, the focus is on Shinji, Rei, and Asuka as they attempt to enter the base without any power. Rei has emergency instructions in her purse, and Asuka declares herself the leader, and they bicker the whole way in. For some reason they crawl through ductwork, and it's kind of boring because it's not like anything will attack them on their own turf. There won't be a malfunctioning security system or anything like that, because the power's down.
As the Angel threat becomes more pressing, Gendo Ikari orders the Evas to be prepared for launch, using a diesel engine that was set up in case of emergency. We see him helping the others to set up all the stuff with pulleys instead of machines. I'm not sure how any of it works, but whatever.
So when Shinji arrives, he's surprised to find the Evas ready for use. Ritsuko tells him that his dad believed that the pilots would show up when they were needed, and so they did. Nice.
So when they're finally ready to deploy, the Evas have to ascend a vertical shaft, but the Angel is waiting above them, secreting a corrosive solvent down onto them.
They only have a few minutes of battery power to work with, so Asuka finally proves her worth and comes up with a plan. She takes her Unit 02 up into the shaft to defend the others. Rei goes down to retrieve the weapons they dropped earlier. Then she'll hand off the weapon to Shinji, who will open fire on the Angel. Asuka takes the defense job because it's more dangerous and she wants to repay Shinji for helping her out of that volcano in the last episode.
And it works! Another Angel bites the dust. I think this is the eighth one? It's enough of them that I've lost count.
With that settled, the kids chillax outside while they wait for the grownups to restore power to the city. Rei waxes philosophical about how humans fear the darkness, so they scrape away at its edges with fire. Whatever you say, kid.

Emerging from the blanket burrito he encapsulated himself to enjoy his sweets and watch a few videos on his phone, the adult™ finally laid his gaze on the young master. Removing a spoon from his mouth (he had consumed his ice cream a couple hours ago actually).

Still, it didn’t feel right to dismiss Yuuki’s interest so promptly. Stirring from his blanket cocoon Romani decided to move to sit on his desk – almost tumbling in the process – in order to check his notebook alongside his companion.

VERSE / SOVEREIGN OF NEVARRA.
LET’S TAKE STOCK OF THE situation in Nevarra. Sovereign Markus’s health, both mental and physical, is failing. He has neither wife nor children; his only heir is a younger brother who is nevertheless aged, has neither wife nor children, and has shown no interest in ruling. In truth, it is the Mortalitasi who govern through the king, but when he falls who shall rise? Pentaghasts and Van Markhams are already lining up to take the throne, and there are those, such as the Reinhardts, who say it’s time for new blood.
Truthfully, of everyone, Cassandra is in the best position to seek the throne. Particularly following the Conclave as she has formally left both the Seekers and the Chantry. She is the Hero of Orlais, the former Right Hand of the Divine, a famed dragon hunter, a living legend, daughter of parents who (despite ending in disgrace) achieved great things. She is the woman who declared the Inquisition and could well have been inquisitor herself. She has favorable relationships with the people who determine the fate of the world. Frankly, all that’s holding her back is her own reluctance to become involved in secular politics. But if she was given that push, if she was convinced she had to root out the corruption in Nevarran politics with her own hands, the throne could be hers.
Who better to provide that push than her own uncle, the prelate of the Mortalitasi? The same uncle who would surely see this as his chance to atone for betraying her parents. Because of him, their bid for the throne failed, but here comes his chance to crown their daughter.
The first step is enmeshing her in Nevarran politics, setting her on the scent of that corruption. DA:I presents us with the perfect opportunities. She must go personally to Nevarra to deal with the Venatori infiltrating the nation. Though she’s acting on behalf of the Inquisition, this builds her own reputation back home.
MISSION: The Serpent of Nevarra — Exposing (and eliminating) a Venatori agent like this is right up Cassandra’s alley. This is perfectly in line with her work as both a Seeker and Right Hand, though the added politics of Virellius being Markus’ advisor requires more caution. She finds proof of Virellius’ misdeeds, exposes him before the court, and eliminates him. The moment she does, Virellius’ spell over Markus breaks, and Cassandra is hailed as a Nevarran hero.
MISSION: The College of Magi — Frankly, this situation calls for more diplomacy than Cassandra can muster, but she can be beautifully inspirational, and her instinct to protect is strong. Though Sandral Anaxas refused to acknowledge the situation at the college, Cassandra rallied his forces to protect it from the mob. She was successful and began evacuating both the mages and their artifacts to the Inquisition. So successful, in fact, that Sandral was forced to publicly approve, pretend he had been involved from the start, or risk dreadful embarrassment. That she is his cousin, albeit distantly, was spun to further convince people she acted in his name.
MISSION: Stop War Between Nevarra and Tevinter — Josephine, of course, is the one to bring this mission to its proper conclusion, but it was Cassandra who commanded the Inquisition soldiers that “pulled victory out of a seemingly insurmountable defeat”. It was by her influence that an all out war stalled til Josephine could work her magic.
MISSION: Track Spies in Nevarra — This mission, like the previous, is up to another to properly complete. However, she’s able to advise and lend aid through her own connections in the Mortalitasi. (Again, her uncle is prelate of the order.) By default, the mission will have been successfully completed via Leliana, and Cassandra would have been there to help the Mortalitasi better cut their Venatori ties. This grows her reputation with the order itself quite favorably even beyond being Vestalus’ niece.
She emerges from all of this a hero in Nevarra, favored by the sovereign, with connections within the Mortalitasi. Still, Cassandra’s distaste for secular politics is strong. It will take much to convince her. I, like many others, extend the timeline of Inquisition to about three years. We will say that Cassandra was officially stationed in Nevarra for the last two of those, and was increasingly drawn into Nevarran politics throughout. Her crisis of faith is something with which she must still contend, but she was considering leaving Chantry service permanently even before this. Discovering the truth of the Seekers during “Promise of Destruction”, pushes her even more in this direction. She begins to find a purpose in Nevarra that she’d lost in the Chantry.
Not long after Corypheus’ defeat, Cassandra is offered a position as an nomarch and general of Hector’s Citadel. She takes time to debate the matter and ultimately accepts. Though this is not something she relishes, she has never believed in leaving to another what she can do herself — in this case, affecting change in her homeland. Come Trespasser, there are rumors she will be named Markus’ heir. She is resistant to this, but it won’t matter in the end.
Through all of this, she has been steadily uprooting corruption in Nevarra and weakening the Mortalitasi’s hold on the throne. (It’s more complex than that as there are those who support her as Markus’ heir and those who do not. A discussion of its own, truly.) She is formally crowned a year and a half post-Trespasser . . . through Vestalus’ sacrifice. He knows he cannot hide the truth of his betrayal from her forever but chooses to exert as much control as he can. Markus is eliminated in a Mortalitasi plot concocted by Vestalus that takes down all of his conspirators — everyone within the Mortalitasi who could have opposed Cassandra, everyone who convinced him to betray his brother and sister-in-law years ago. Furthermore, new information comes to light which would seem to absolve her parents, “proving” they were merely a Mortalitasi scapegoat so the order could come to power. Cassandra herself is set up to uncover these heinous plots, bring the perpetrators to justice, and avenge both Markus and her parents. Thus, with a redeemed lineage and legendary reputation, she takes the throne almost entirely unopposed — but not untroubled. She will bear this burden, but she never wanted it. Added to it is the weight of family revelations she can never properly unpack now that Vestalus is dead.
Of course, the true test of whether she can become sovereign lays in the rite to discover her regnal name. Nine days secluded in a tomb with her mummified predecessors is daunting, but she is successfully crowned by the end. And the spirit who comes to give her her regnal name is Faith — the same Faith who gave her her spirit name, who broke her Tranquility, who has been with her since she was a girl. The predecessor it possessed was a hero who led them through the Fourth Blight and ushered in an age of prosperity afterward.

fallen sankta are somewhat denied with server access, but aren’t booted out completely.
before talking further, i will correct that the halo allows sankta to share a certain level of emotion. it doesn’t share their thoughts, it makes the sankta feels things when they point the gunpoint at their own race.
as the pic above stated: yes, there is a central server running those halo. the central is like the home network/wifi column and the halo is their phone. which means if there is a transmission and if this transmission meets some problems, it directly affects the halo’s owner.

but to the sankta, none of them knows this. they simply know that this is fallen.
which is why i think that deviated halo has a foot in this catalog too. adnachiel said he has brain problems. andorn, being a kind of race that has absolute belief in god, questions god and dares to do everything in order to get the answer, and he shots other sankta without remorse and depravity. you understand?

about mostima, i think it’s really interesting that she probably is retrograding back to the more ancient form of her race. the lock&key are taking from a sarkaz relic, bearing the power of time and era. it can show its owner numerous posibilities of future without the owner’s consciousness, i dont see why it cannot reverse its owner’s body. lol probably that’s why she’s completely disconnected with the central server? because her body construct is no longer a sankta’s body construct.
not sure if whoever controls the central server wants to hide this origin fact, since in the presence time (GA) there are sarkaz living in laterano. in the past, laterano contributed partly in the kazdel affairs. one thing we know that the central server itself is the biggest secret that only the current pope is inherited.

“Signa of the Witch
Where magical images are concerned, we assert that all signa used to represent the witch are paradoxically both false and true.
According to certain rustics, witches practice the sorcery of maleficia, effecting magical harm. Blight is their singular pursuit: whether by birth or learning they command the ability to cast withering bane upon the unsuspecting merely by fixity of gaze. Here, she is pictured naked, her moon-pale body encircled by the scarlet coils of the Snake, or yet mantled in green: in her left hand is a chalice and in her right a flensed human skull. Because her sorcerous proclivity is seduction, she is sometimes accompanied by an image of the human heart, bound with knotted cord; or with a phial of poison and diverse Herbs of Venus. This type of witch of necessity includes the venefica or poisoner, as well as the fricatrix, or ‘woman who rubs', known for her erogenous application of intoxicating unguents.
The Holy Inquisitor, considered to possess much knowledge of these matters, insists a witch is one who has turned against God, having sacrificed soul and body to infernal spirits for a measure of temporal power on Earth. Such enchanters may be male or female, and appear in secret ritual congregation with others of their kind. In this nocturnal ceremony, they join with a horned black devil, a moon-crown'd harlot, or both in a kind of blasphemous reverie said to ape the rites of the Holy Sacrament. Devices present in this depiction are the boiling-pot, forked staff, broom, scourge, desecrated eucharist, wine-cup, feasttable, and the crux inversa. In more sophisticated accounts of these rites the attentive will also note a solitary tree in prominence: Oak, Walnut, Beech, or Chestnut.
Men of Reason too, advance their own chosen genus of our lamia. They proclaim the witch a lunatic, suffering madness, hysteria, unseemly vapours, and aberrations of mind, a victim of both disease and the collective delusions of the irrational. Where representations of this type appear, the face is drawn and skeletal, the body clothed in rags, and haunted by spectral forms emerging from the darkness. Standing midway between the Inquisitor and the Man of Reason is the Magus, who regards the witch as the inheritor of degenerate forms of ancient high magic. Where such Magi depict witches, their representations are typified by the presence of symbols of ignorance and magical inferiority: base sexuality, superstition, physical ugliness, supercilious references to 'primitivism' and the proliferation of mundane objects in a magical context. This image of our lamia, being an exercise in mental hygiene, explicitly signals the typologies of magic the Magus rejects or seeks to intellectually diminish. In extreme cases this imaging of witchcraft serves as an artificial moral contrast to the Magus, exemplifying the sum debauchery and profanity which he, by his Art, has transcended.
Men of Science maintain that the witch haunts the minds of the ignorant merely as a specter, an inversion of religious piety or rational order, possessing attributes calculated to rouse outrage among the superstitious and simple-minded. In cases where Men of Science have adopted the Mind as their chosen fetish, the witch is portrayed as a societal scapegoat or victim of mob rule. From these scientific conceptions arise no symbolic exteriorisation — merely the admonition that the conception of the witch, like that of God, takes its place among the figmenta of the ignorant. Each of these representations arise in absentia of that which they attempt to signify; they are forged, not for purposes of understanding, but for division of The World. In truth, the Effigy of the Witch is required by all orthodoxy to partition those who reject their doctrines, or to seek the destruction of them who have made their way to God in an unsanctioned manner. Nevertheless, the totality of these grotesque depictions possess an occult truth which evades those who fashion and perpetuate them, yet is well known among witches themselves.
How, then, do witches appear amidst themselves, within the bound circle of their own Art? why is fate always about third magic and what aspects are similar to zouken's plan and kirsch's?
Hah! Nasu’s answers always bring confusion, huh? Or maybe the fan translation available is confusing to some people, but I’ll try to explain it.
Fate is always about Third Magic because Fate is always about Servants, which are an application of the Third Magic in the first place because it takes place in the Age of Men, and summoning them requires that sort of Third sorta application by mages (not the Counter Force or the past age of gods magi). The objective of the people involved isn’t necessarily related to Third Magic, as FGO or Extra. Spoilers for Olympus:
The reason for comparison is because Zouken (or rather Zolgen Makiri) wanted to erase the evil of the world, blaming the body as the source of the sin, he wanted to rely on the Third Magic to turn everyone into ascended souls that have a continuous source of information or something like that thus: no sin or evil. This is similar to Amakusa, but Amakusa was also going to lobotomize humanity to eradicate the possibility of them even having a choice to sin even in their new condition, didn’t he? In sort, Zouken didn’t believe humanity was capable to become less evil without removing their bodies. That’s why Nasu says he started his quest in a place of “despair” and that’s why he reached such ending. Kirschtaria, on the other hand, started his quest full of hope according to Nasu. That’s why in Olympus, he didn’t think about removing the bodies, only to give them Saint Graphs or something of sorts to make everyone start with the same overall just advantage to try to eliminate the distance and disadvantages that could lead to envy and conflict, so humans would be able to empathize with each others more easily and work together to solve their conflicts and challenges. He believed in humans’ capacity to be good and that their nature was good, but evil could emerge from this “losers” and “winners” loop in a way, it’s thematic with part 2 because is a story of the “loser side of history” striking back. That’s also why Nasu said in his mats his plan would have certainly been a positive outcome for humanity's advancement. That’s also why Kirschtaria’s end is full of hope because he still believed in humanity to be able to solve the crisis with Beast VII and thus protected Chaldea with his life, even if he wasn’t successful in his grand order, his faith in humanity never quite faltered.
As he said, everyone in the world is just trying their best.
(I wanted to add they were also thematically opposites: Zolgen made his body or existence get pseudo immortality for his plan and consumed his sanity to the point he forgot about it. Kirschtaria dedicated his terminal existence to his, speeding up his death without searching for ways to prolong it, and never forgot his goal. That’s why Nasu said even if the world envisioned was similar, a world with less evil, they came from it from a complete different state and that’s why their methods and resolutions were different: Zouken denied his humanity while Kirschtaria embraced it to the very end).

Shinji moves over Asuka begins to strangle her, but with a caress of his cheek, she stops him and he starts sobbing uncontrollably.
