Day 2: Maglor for @feanorianweek
Sloth|Diligence
Snapdragon: Snapdragon makes a person appear fascinating and cordial according to some people, and in the language of flowers, snapdragons are said to represent both deception and graciousness.
Maglor was laid out to be the kindest of his brothers, which I think just means that he knew how to act around people to get them to like him, as well as him being a singer/musician in a world made of music, where music shapes the world, makes it obvious that he manipulated people (maybe even the world itself in a little scale) for his own benefit.

Giving credit to original posters, creators, artists, photographers, and sources matters.
It matters to the person who put in the time and effort to create the content. Whether it's finding that photo and editing it to make it stand out. Or downloading that video, editing it, coloring it, turning it into a gif, adding subtitles, etc. Regardless of what you do (job/student), I'm sure you too would not like it if someone else takes credit for your work.
It matters to people who want to know context. Was it said by a fan, your favourite's bestie, a reputable journalist? Published by a tabloid or the New York Times? From last week or last year? Is it an original, or did someone get photoshopped in for a meme?
It matters to people who may want to explore more content of that particular publication, so they will continue to publish top-notch articles. Or give kudos to a budding artist for their outstanding art work, potentially encouraging them to create more. Or compliment that photographer on capturing their fave in just the right light.
It matters, because even though it may take you an extra minute or so to add on that name or link, it is the right thing to do.

also just something i think more people should be conscientious about on here: there are certain people who have gained a following making their entire blogs about saving and reposting other people’s art, gifs, analyses, etc without credit or acknowledgement. it’s usually very easy to tell whether someone is posting their own work or not. i strongly encourage everyone to stop supporting that kind of behavior and stop engaging with clearly plagiarized posts. just a little critical thinking before hitting like/reblog is not too much to ask i think

This house has people in it, and all of them are me,
But I am not a single one of them.
This house has skeletons shoved into its closets,
Packed in like a hasty, last-minute gift,
Paper ribbon slapped on top.
This house is me, and I am it
But I am not alone here.
They peer through my eyes,
Flex my fingers and toes,
Draw air into my lungs.
This house is rotting from the inside out,
Mold lining the ceilings of my lungs,
Broken pipes spouting blood on the bathroom floor.
This house is ancient, it was just built last week,
It’s one of those buildings you pass every day on your way to work and never see.
This house is a refuge,
A prison,
And a torture cell.
This house is crumbling,
A fire roaring in the kitchen,
Stove left on overnight.
(Oil pooled on the floor nearby,
Poured by a steady hand,
So that it would light and spread.)
This house has only me,
This house has all of me,
This house is and has everything and nothing.
This house is just a house,
And maybe someday I’ll move out.
