I wanna use this post as a case study in gender essentialism and TERF rhetoric in lesbianism. And I am going to be making assumptions about OP's beliefs and feelings based on this post and their tags.

So, the core problem this person has with male lesbians is, it seems, that "male lesbians" are inherently predatory and "male lesbian" means forcing female lesbians to be attracted to men. They seem to equate "male lesbian" with "(cis) heterosexual man trying to assault or "fix" lesbian women."
Now, this is in contrast with the people who actually, in good faith (not as a joke) identify as male lesbians/lesboys. These people are commonly
Trans men who have transitioned but still identify as lesbians and are still active in the lesbian community, which has been a thing for decades- despite OP saying it's "chronically online". I would really love to see the reaction if you, in real life, punched an older lesbian trans man for existing in his community with his lesbian wife. Do you think people would be on your side?
Other trans* people who identify as lesbians while also being male in some way (for example, being multigender). I know the OP tries to carve out space for genderfluid/transmasc lesbians, but they still do so in a way that makes it clear that the only trans* people "allowed" to be lesbians are the ones who never actually identify as MEN. Just as a fun reminder to all us weird transes that we gotta make sure we never find ourselves too close to that line, or else we have to give up the labels we care for because The Cises have made it law.
These kinds of people have been identifying as lesbians for decades. Trans male lesbians have been well-documented. Male lesbians frequently find happy relationships with other lesbians who are aware of their gender identity. When you see someone calling themself a "male lesbian" or "lesboy", as an actual identity, it's much more likely they are a trans* person with a complex identity, and not a cishet guy making a stupid joke.
And yet, the OP of this post conflates male lesbians/lesboys with this idea of predatory straight men invading the community, not just through violence but through lies and deception. Men are "predators" who are "invading lesbian spaces" to "force themselves on lesbians" and "force lesbians to be attracted to men." Where have we heard this before?
If you took this post, and removed the comments on genderfluid and transmasc people, and the "terfs dni" at the very end, this would be EXTREMELY easy to read as a terf complaining about trans women who are lesbians. Obviously this person does not identify as a terf, and on some level cares about making that clear. Yet they have the same line of thinking: men cannot be lesbians, because men being lesbians is inherently harmful in itself. Men being lesbians inherently means men assaulting lesbians, no matter the actual person behind the label. Because OP is not thinking about male lesbians as people who are identifying that way out a genuine feeling of connection with the label and a desire for community... they must be doing it for nefarious reasons, because that's what males do.
And this person could hypothetically be a crypto-TERF, but I really don't think they are. I think this is a person who genuinely does not like TERFs, and wants to support trans women. They don't want to be a harmful person to people that they are supposed to support.
Yet, they are. Being a TERF or hating trans women, in progressive queer spaces, is a social faux pas, but hating men isn't. So for radical feminist ideology to take root, all it has to do is change "men" from "people assigned male at birth" to "anyone who identifies as a man", and then suddenly you have people who "hate TERFs" who agree wholeheartedly with TERF rhetoric. Because while they might be able to recognize that viewing trans women as predators in lesbian spaces is Wrong, they- and we as queer people in general- have not acknowledged as much how hatred of men is a foundational part of TERF transmisogyny.
So people will freely regurgitate TERF beliefs- men are inherently predatory and dangerous, and this is why men can't be lesbians, because allowing men in women's spaces puts them all in danger, so women must isolate themselves from men and any man who tries to enter a woman's space is a predator- but because they insist that they don't mean "trans women" when they say "men", they feel it's completely unrelated to radical feminism.
Also, notice the hatred to bi lesbians as well! It's almost like radical feminists don't like them very much either, for the same reason (lesbian spaces must be pure!!!!!)

first of all,,, im bisexual!! so if anyone has a problem with that, please get off my blog. i will not be tolerating homophobia of any kind.
i really, really didn’t want to have to come out in this way, bc the situation is so bad right now. i really didnt expect enhablr to be facing this kind of a problem.
when i first heard about the issue, i was thoroughly shocked. like completely.
before anything, ill let you all read the definition of homophobia.
“discrimination” “dislike against the community” this. disrespect falls in the category of homophobia as well.
now to address the issue at hand. i wasnt directly involved in this problem. some of you may even be wondering why im making a post about it.
but as a part of the lgbtq community, i think id like to speak what i feel about this.
the situation we heard about was that an enhablr writer, had written dni: lgbtq in their account, which literally anyone would be surprised or angry at, especially if you belong to the community.
OP’s friend, who had recently become my mutual, was defending OP’s actions, which made me think of unfollowing them and i wanted to unfriend them. but then i found out it involves religion.
religion is a very sensitive topic for everyone and could go wrong in multiple ways. i respect all religions and beliefs.
so i texted OP’s friend, asking about the situation at hand, in case it was a misunderstanding.
i am aware that the quran forbids acting on gay feelings. it teaches you to not accept the gay ‘Lot’. (i have done my reading on this topic so i rlly hope im not saying anything out of line. if i am, please forgive me.)
but as far as i know, and have heard from my other islamic friends, the quran also tells you to respect and love everyone, no matter what they are or identify as. respect and acceptance are two different things. islam doe not encourage lgbtq, but doesnt tell u to NOT respect people of every kind.
if what they say is correct, then being on tumblr and reading and writing fanfictions is very much considered as haram as well.
in the above conversation, i texted them wanting to hear their side of the story as well. OP’s friend constantly used the word ‘opinion’ along with ‘belief’.
now, opinion and beliefs are two different things. opinion is something that YOU FOLLOW on your own will. belief is something that your religion teaches you to follow, against your will or not. you can notice OP’s friend has used the word opinion quite a lot.
OP’s friend had received an ask and this was their response.
‘everybody has their own opinion.’
again, the word opinion is used here, which conveys to us that they’re not wanting to interact with lgbtq community on their own accord.
i tried to explain that most of us get enough hate for being a part of the lgbtq community, and seeing dni:lgbtq, doesnt make it any better.
now, about OP.
when OP was answering asks, most of their answers were very mixed up,
in the third picture, you’ll see ive highlighted a sentence.
they say THEY DONT LIKE lgbtq. usage of first person is used. “i don’t like what they’re doing” which conveys their opinion on the community.
in the first picture, they claim that if tumblr was only lgbtq people, they’d never stay. how mean is that?
second slide, ‘escaping them’ escaping us????????? what does that even mean.
there was another pic, (that i cant add rn bc tumblr has an image limit), where they said “why do people have a problem w us saying dni lgbtq but no one has a problem if people say dni homophobic?”
… are they being for real.
i genuinely dont think they understand the situation properly. they keep saying the same thing, and mixing up opinions and beliefs.
the replies under OP’s pinned post were terrible. people said things like “im so sorry. what they’re doing is so fucking messed up.” we wouldn’t call out people for no reason just like that???

Dark Link HYPOTHETICALLY could slap the ever loving shit out of all 4 Links if he used his powers right RIGHT NOW in the comic. Comic could be over within 2 seconds if that was the case. (Shadow is disqualified because the triforce of power is)
Because the dude, can literally break your mind in a second and then stab the fuck out of you if he REALLY felt like it.
But...He WOULDN'T. Because in his own words that's "Boring".
Dark Link doesn't play the typical "WHEN YOU'RE OUT OF MY WAY I'LL RULE THE WORLD" because that's literally the last thing on this dude's mind.
Dark's motivations keep him from doing anything that'd end the comic.
Dark's motivations of wanting to be given affection completely cancel out the idea he WOULD hurt the Link's physically long term because he wants them alive.
So the idea "Dark could slap everyone in a second flat" is null and void imo because of characterization reasons. He'd. Never. Do. That.
HE COULD. But he WOULDN'T.
I find hypotheticals that completely disregard the characterization super boring as well "Who is the strongest" Is such a silly question.
Because it tosses out the question "Well would they really do that?"
How do you define power?
Especially when placing arbitrary restrictions like "No Triforce" because, well.. you know the answer then?
Shadow Link is the strongest because he has the triforce of Power. He trumps Dark in that department but also has control over Dark because Dark is a demon. But then, Link hypothetically can slap the shit out of Shadow if he really needed too...Because Link canonically has the power to slap Gannon silly.
But "Why the fuck would they do that" is the prevailing question?
They are written this way for a reason.
I make strong as hell characters (Dark included) but the "power scaling" is mostly defined by their personalities/what they'd actually do.
Because then we get into the question "What is strength actually?" emotional strength? Physical? Magical?
I have a writing rule:
OP Character? Make their restrictions based on their personality.
Cause this isn't two characters fighting in a void...this is a comic with a story flow and specific characterization built the way it is to get to a point.
"That's not what the story is about" is the blunt answer I have.

"What the fuck led to this hypothetical death match to begin with?"
and I just cannot fathom a reason why this would be happening because my characters are not written for these weird hypotheticals.
The fights that are in my stories are there, because it furthers the plot. Not to show off power?
They're written for the story they're contained in, in which there are very specific rules they must follow because my brain said so.
"Character x will win this fight, because that's how the story goes, if it were to go the other way, the story would end."
The question itself is antithetical to the idea of the stories I tell.

Undertale.exe: so I looked at Camilla Cuevas being an awful person. Then i looked at the beautiful anime that is @jakei95's underverse... then i smushed it all toghether to basically create the perfect AU. Frisk is a pansexual fuccboi that Has Game, Chara is THICC and powerful, Betty is built like a ballerina and is 1000 years old, and Asriel is a Streemur. All of them live in this house far away from the city thats literally a larger version of sans' house. All charachters can legally drink (prepare for Drunk Chara shenanigans where its Betty Glitchtale the drunk one instead) and the only one who (probably) isnt gay is Asriel (even though frisk covets the Dreemur Dong) (one day soldier, one day...). Many chatachters from many AUs sometimes come to visit cause, you know. Its a nice place.
Curseworld: massive writing project of mine which is just "adventure time shaped mass of autism". The world is cursed and fucked over, and everything is colorful. Its also part Owl House because fuck you the magic system is FUCKED here.
Internet friends: basically internet stereotype-shaped people. We have a furry thats normal, a reddit/discord mod that just wants to work in peace, and the protagonist is Just A Guy but a-ha! That why we never see him use his powers again (at least fully, or conscious lol) Cause in ep 16 note block battle he had just woken up and in his half-sleep state he went there just to shut his friends up and go back to bed, in my heart of hearts the fuckin uh energy wave he produced wasnt even a conscious action!!
And speaking of his sleeping habits, i think its pretty interesting to see him sleeping so much, i either think it has relation to his powers (even if showdown came after we started to see him sleeping constantly) just for the lols. Another one is that he's just narcoleptic haha
CHOSEN/TCO:
Fucked up little guy he's poprtrayed as cool and level headed and serious by the fandom but all i can think of is back to him first being given his name and deciding to instantly break stuff and cause trouble, he is a menace!! I hc that he is angry a lot of the time, he's just a silent-rage type of guy, easily irritable and impatient, probably sarcastic and to-the-point when he talks
I think he also sleeps a lot, like Second, but in his case he's just depressed el o el, he is also haunted by memories of his time being used by Alan/Creator as an AdBlocker cause that sure had to leave sequels, so he is depressed and thus sleeps a lot but then has terrible nightmares about being a prisoner and thus doesnt sleep but then gets tired and has to sleep a lot and then its just a terrible terrible cycle-
He has decided to move on and "forgive" Creator but he still needs to go to therapy tbh
One more for him is that he is both very caring to Orange and very scared of him. HEAR ME OUT, Chosen knows what this kid is capable of, he knows that Second doesnt know, and decides to keep it that way for both of their sakes. STILL, even if he is very intimidated by what his little brother can do he still cares for him and looks after him the way he wishes he would have been looked after, even if Orange already has a loving support system in the color gang Chosen tends to go out of his way to check on him, i think that Chosen yearning for family is fucked up and in character since he was the first one to get severly punished by their Creator and even if Orange doesnt need a loving caring family (he already has one) he's gonna give it to him godddammit !! (for both of them)
DARK/TDL:
MY BABYGIRL oh god ohhh god
Okay so to start off, middle-child syndrome. Lots of insecurities and issues with identity and finding out who he is and what is his purpose.
Simple one: i think the bracelets he made to enhance his powers are now imposible to take off and got broken so badly that his powers are now nonexistent (or at least suuuperrr weak) cause of them malfuctioning.
His insecurities come from being literally the weakest of the HollowHeads, imagine being one out of three inherently superpowerful (and probably inmortal!) beings in the world and then not even coming close to defeat either of them on your own. FUCKED UP!
And we know he is aware of this cause he makes all of this technology to enhance his strength and be able to stand on the same ground as Chosen. He only won his second fight w Chosen cause of his gadgets and his bots. And even with those he got easily defeated by Second. In showdown, if we become a little bit crazy, you can interpret his desperation to kill Second as Fear. The moment he thinks Second is down he goes and tries to get his plan into motion cause who fuckin knows what might happen next . And, as he feared. Orange beats him up and all that he worked for is gone in seconds!
And im not saying that him making all of those bots and killing innocent sticks cause they were in his way is okay DEF NOT but i think i can see where it comes from
Here come in play his issues with identity, since being given a name he was going to be Chosen antithesis, the one to defeat him and forever be enemies, but he lost, and instead of finding doom at the hands of Chosen or at the hands of the Creator, he finds companionship and a brother in Chosen, both of them break out of what they were supposed to be and run away after causing a mess.
Again mentioning how Chosen is the more destructive/chaotic one, i think that Dark held onto that and decided alright! this is me now! Just like him! Destructive. He makes that his entire personality and goal since he doesnt actually have any other. He was given a mission which was to destroy Chosen, he failed, and then he got a new mission, destroy Alan's PC, and then he, didnt have anything, just chosen, so he kept on destroying stuff, thats what they both did! And then, against his given interpretation of being a destroyer. he created something, he made viruses and bots yes, but he MADE them, he made himself something to be stronger, he had a plan that he was genuelly excited to show Chosen, like, "Look! I can get us revenge on the Creator, for what he did to you! For what he did to us!" ITS JUST SO. BITTERSWEET TO ME,, that when he thinks hes doing something by his own free will he's meet with rejection and told to stop, so thats why he sticks to it, he goes thru with his plan and decides hes not going to follow orders around anymore, this is what he is this is what he wants, he wants revenge, he wants to make the person that hurt him HURT. its so.... OUGH
And then of course it doesnt work as he wanted. he loses yet another battle and is left alone to put himself back together, it makes me so so so sad to think about him badly injured and having to pick himself up and just. move on.
In my perfect world after Showdown Chosen goes to look for Dark and they slowly but surely start to rebuild their relationship again.

Things I'd Change in Death Note if I Were in Charge (hire me please) Part 1.
★ Make Light somewhat redeemable. We all know Light is a very hateable character because he is just all around, awful. But what if he weren't...? What if he had some, even if only one, redeeming quality? For me, I had hope for him up until he contemplated killing Sayu - that's when he officially became dead to me. But what if he truly loved his family, especially his sister, and wanted to make the world a better place for them? I commonly compare and contrast Light to Lelouch from Code Geass (if you have not seen Code Geass and you love Death Note, I highly recommend it) - both are similar in many ways, but the key difference is, as many atrocities as he commits, Lelouch retains his humanity whereas Light abandons his long ago, becoming a monster.
★ Light does not manipulate EVERYONE, and genuinely has some human connections of value. To Light, everyone is disposable. What if he actually did have a partner and loved them? What if he and Misa started off as partners in crime, but they legitimately grew to love each other? I am a SUCKER for this trope/scenario, but imagine Light and Misa just being partners in crime. Like Bonnie and Clyde, or Chucky and Tiffany... I just think that would be far more interesting. Imagine if he legitimately cared about her when she was captured. He wouldn't need the pressure of Rem to do something about it, he'd act on his own. There was also a really fantastic episode of Criminal Minds that handled this situation quite nicely and I think it could be VERY fitting, watch it if you want.
★ Misa does not just throw herself at Light. This kind of goes with the above, but she could have been handled much better. Make her a bit more intelligent, make her able to get farther on her own and work WITH Light, not under him. Also, I'd up the deranged yandere factor quite a bit because Misa could have been written a LOT more terrifying and threatening. Would have been nice to see her toy around with Light a lot.
★ Naomi Misora doesn't die. This is pretty basic, and not just me simping because I love her character, but she could have had a LOT more to offer. Imagine her getting far and working with L on the task force. At some point, we would have Light, L, Naomi, and Misa fighting against each other. This would have been SUCH an amazing dynamic I would have loved to see. The task force is essentially useless and only holds L back. I can see Naomi being really the only one on L's side and they are overall, just a great team. While L and Light go at it, Naomi and Misa are having their own psychological battles. Ugh. SO cool. SO much wasted potential.
★Light doesn't get his memories back immediately at the Yotsuba arc. He never grabs the book from L, and L is not so careless with it, letting nobody touch it. Or perhaps, only Naomi and Watari as I feel these would be the two he'd trust the most. Trusting Watari is obvious but...L and Naomi literally worked together before, so. But L does not let the task force, including Light, touch the notebook. In this scenario Misa would be aware that she and Light are Kira and would have to find a way to get Light his memories back.
★ Ryuk never adds in two fake rules. Make it against the rules to do so, whatever. No offense but this part really made Light OP and I think it's a bit lazy. Would have been nice if they had to find another way around this.

People in queer and trans spaces are so fucking weird about AMAB+AFAB trans people (ESPECIALLY towards non-binary people who aren't transmasc or transfem) in relationships. You all like parroting TERFs and conservatives? Is that what they all really want to do, do they have zero self awareness?
Your relationship isn't less queer because of your AGABs and it's so shitty that this rethoric seems to infest queer and t4t spaces like a plague that people refuse to acknowledge.

Season 1 and 2 Overview
So I didn’t make this blog until I got to the last episode of season 2, so I’m just going to compile what I want to talk about for those two seasons into one post.
Lori
So I remember back when the walking dead first came out and I was a kid watching it, I hated Lori with my entire being. I didn’t understand why she would cheat on her husband, thought her attitude was horrible, etc. watching now as an adult I understand so much more. Shane had told her Rick was dead, and why would she have any reason to believe other than that? I believe that she wanted to keep Carl safe and Shane was that protector for them in those times. She was most likely grieving or trying to distract herself from doing so. And I feel like it’s almost in a way like a rebound. She needed to move on and keep living for her son and so she found something in Shane that she needed to keep living. I can’t say that I blame her or dislike her for this at all.
Where I start to get confused is the back and forth that she has with Shane. One minute she’s telling him to leave her and her son alone, the next minute she’s mad when he doesn’t give Carl much more than a “listen to your mom.” I also can’t fathom how she can ask Shane to stay with the group after he assaults her.
Then there’s the situation after Rick tells her that he has killed Shane. When Rick is recounting the events she seems confused and sad/upset. Her big angry reaction though comes after Rick reveals that Carl “put Shane down.” I can see this as something where she’s mad at Rick for having their son be the one to kill the zombified version of Shane since she already thinks that Carl is becoming cold to the world. I do wonder though if part of it comes from anger that she no longer has Shane looking out for them or pining after her anymore - even as disturbing as he did it.
I wish Lori had a different way of being written because to me she is very unlikeable. I felt very much like she was wanting to be faithful to Rick but that part of her still wanted that attention from Shane.
Maggie and Glenn
So, hear me out. I know that they’re a solid couple from what I remember watching seasons in the past. I also am so aware that it’s literally the zombie apocalypse and that time is not a luxury that everyone is afforded now. But them confessing their love for each other felt so so rushed. And then when Glenn confesses his love he says he’s loved Maggie for a long time…. You’ve know each other maybe a week or two? It’s a small detail and it’s not that serious but good Lordy. I’m excited for their relationship to blossom though don’t get me wrong.
Sophia
Now before I get blasted I am so well aware that Sophia was a child. Children don’t have a fully formed mind and make stupid decisions that don’t make sense. With that out of the way, WHY??????? Why did Sophia get done and do that. First, the herd had not even fully passed. She had been quiet and still the whole time the large chunk was moving past. And then as soon as she doesn’t see feet move directly in front of her face for like 5 seconds she just gets out from under the car??? Like the walkers still turn around you know. They haven’t gone that far. But anyway, this was dumb. Then she runs into the woods. Okay fair decision honestly. But THEN Rick like helps her right? And he tells her to wait in the little like dug out thing and don’t move until he comes back. And then he also says if he doesn’t come back after a while to head the same way she came from. Rick literally leads the walkers off camera AND THEN THREE SECONDS LATER SISTER IS LEAVING THE DUG OUT. Now…. Now come on. I’m just so mad about it. I know that they needed it to happen to have Carols story but god damn it. It still makes me so sad.
Other Character Tidbits
Dale
I forgot how much I liked Dale. He always seemed to know what was going on in the gossip. He is a nosey bitch and honestly me too. Sad that he died how he did. Can’t say I agreed with all his actions and opinions but he was still cool and I liked his hat.
Carol
One of my favorite characters from what I remember. Her story starts so sad but she’s gonna become a badass soon and I’m ready for it.
Daryl
Everyone was also so thirsty for Daryl when I was growing up and like, honestly, yeah. I get it. Hate his brother (side note the full on N word really shook the fuck out of me when it happened in season 1) fully though.
Little Things from the Last Episode of Season 2
I don’t know why, but it drives me absolutely crazy that the group is always leaving their car doors open. It makes me actually insane. Please just shut the door. It isn’t that hard. Maybe it’s my own personal paranoia and my parents yelling at me to close the car door as a kid, but like surely it’s just not a good thing to do. What if someone or something crawls in? Just shut your damn car doors people.
MICHONNES ENTRANCE IS SO FUCKING SICK!!! I’m so excited to see more of her because I remember she was one of my favorites back in the day.
At the very end of the episode when the group is camping out by the wall and are questioning why they’re listening to Rick and why they don’t leave and Rick spits the line “this isn’t a democracy anymore.” I’m so interested to see if and how this forms later on. Because again, this was something I didn’t fully understand and catch on to as a child. I feel like it’s been less of a democracy anyway but still, with Rick making a big statement like this I’m excited to see what’s up.

I keep seeing all these posts that say stuff like "if you think nobody cares about your special interest, I do. Please talk to me about [insert whatever examples op thought was a good representation of autistic special interests, typically includes "childish" interests such as trains or dinosaurs]."
Please don't just say this and then not live it, though. I see a lot of folks on like tumblr and stuff who act like it's so horrible and cruel to not be interested in listening to someone infodump about their special interest, but in practice they really only seem to care when the person infodumping is someone they think is cool or cute or helpless or whatever; but if it's like an annoying 50-year-old man or someone whose special interest is like the history of doorknobs or something they don't find interesting, suddenly they're not holding themself to the same standard that they preached on their blog.
My autistic husband annoys the hell out of me sometimes by talking about guns and tanks and war statistics literally from the time we wake up to the time we go to sleep, and it is ok for me to be annoyed; he understands that I love him and that is why I allow him to bother me like that. I don't need to pretend like I'm enthusiastic about his special interests 100% of the time for him to know how much I care about him and respect him. Sometimes I am genuinely interested in what he's saying, and sometimes I just let him talk while I focus on something else entirely. Very rarely do I ask him to stop. I understand that sometimes it's literally just the need to talk out loud, even though it's stupid and nobody cares. I know this because I have the same flavour autism as him and the same need to just infodump at a flesh wall sometimes. I don't expect him to be interested when I'm explaining the entire plot of some book I remember reading in middle school or how I suddenly thought about it because I saw some obscure reference in a music video. Both of us are mature enough to understand when it's appropriate to infodump and when that is not appropriate. (for example: in public spaces where it would bother people who don't know us well enough to care) Understandably, not everyone, especially among neurodivergent folks, has that same level of self-awareness.
We really need to do away with the toxic notion that everyone has to care about everything all of the time. Being annoyed is natural and ok. Spend your energy caring about things you actually care about, instead of wasting it all on trying to care about things everyone else cares about or things you feel like you're expected to care about. Just be a genuine person and form genuine bonds with the people you genuinely want in your life. Maybe that's everyone in your community, or maybe it's just a very small handful of people you're very picky about.
And if you genuinely do care about reaching out to neurodivergent people and others who don't get much love from the rest of society, please try to keep in mind your personal biases and whether or not you actually care enough to try to overcome them. Because the annoying old autistic man who wants to talk about war machines and the schizophrenic homeless person on the sidewalk deserve just as much love and respect as the kids on Tumblr with the cutesy kid-core autism aesthetic blogs.

honestly i hadnt even thought about pok being abel to control people through bodysharing. if they can, theyre definitely not aware of it, and itd be something very minor partially bc i dont wanna make them too op and partially because itd SUCK on ponks end. bodysharing with someone feels weird on both ends - like, if gumi had known ponk was bodysharing wiht her (or had been coherent enough to like... feel it) she would've felt that something was off. like it makes ponks spirit feel to-the-left but it makes whoever he's bodysharing with feel three-steps-back. both participants aren't quite in their bodies, so trying to control someone would be like trying to pull a remy ratatouille while in a sensory deprivation tank.
beyond like. REAL concerns i think ponk keeps the bodysharing a secret just because its awkward and hard to explain. like if you were talking to someone and you were like "hey yeah man just gotta... inhabit your body for a bit dw its all good its good for your health" no matter what they'd be like "hey what the fuck???" and real concerns-wise i think that like. if you can invade someones body pretty much without resistance from them youre gonna inspire a witchhunt. like yeah sure ponk cant do anythign HARMFUL with it but thats some dudes body hes in. what if she was like "ooooo you wanna give me your credit card information sooooo bad ooooo" and subliminally effected their thoughts. does she deserve to steal someone's credit card? fuck yeah but thats generally frowned upon and also not-very-neutral of her lmao
also ngl im not entirely sure how ponks tree works with the healing kekw i am. literally making this shit up as i go. it definitely nullifies some of the harming effects of healing, though - its like.... mmmm this isnt a perfect metaphor but like if you gotta sustain a certain amount of burns (we're in saw, i guess???? not like... killer burns. like 20 first degree burns.) and you can choose between burning only half your body or all of it, its gonna be way more damaging to put it on half because now HALF your body is out of commission. if you spread it out over the rest of your body, its still gonna fuckin suck, but it's not condensed yknow? so when ponk heals without his tree, its like putting all those burns on half his body, but when he heals with it, its all over, and he has the added bonus of like.... default dissociation with half of the burns since he isn't actively in his tree all the time. his tree takes on some of the damage.

okay so ponk healed gumi's back. she
set and healed bones - broken and chipped
healed muscle
restored skin
treated burns
pushed out remaining shrapnel (which she isnt aware of)
(gumi's injury was nasty and it fucking sucked, but she was stable. if ponk had the equipment and the confidence, they could've fixed her up without healing her, but it would've left her incapacitated for so long that even if ponk thought they were capable of healing her manually, she would've been sorted into the "heal with ability" category. like.... it was BAD, but due to gumi's own regenerative abilities, it wasn't life threatening with proper treatment.)
in the next chapter ponk wakes up with a MASSIVE headache and she feels scorched out. like, it fucking sucks, and she's going to be fatigued and have some fairly bad headaches for a week or so, but it'll be manageable.
if he hadn't had his tree, he would've been completely incapacitated for over a week. (cannot elaborate for plot >:(((.) his healing is essentially just ...giving, so it takes a while for him to get himself back.
and thats an injury that technically wasnt life threatening :D velvet got it bad :D

I do :D A younger sister and a younger brother!
Me and my sister are the same flavor of Perpetually Strange. We get each other. However we have very different tastes when it comes to media lol. She freaking loves Shrek and SpongeBob, both of which I dislike 😭
My brother is always hyper ‘n talkative, both of which I’m not 😅 We’re definitely not as similar as me and my sister! But we do both like going to co-op :)

Hmm… I was very very happy. I was also quite clueless 😅 I didn’t really understand or know how to socialize, and looking back, I cringe on a lot of interactions I had with people. I wasn’t ever purposely mean or anything, I just didn’t know how to interact with people. I didn’t get it.
Heck, I feel like I only “got it” just a couple years ago :/ And even now I’m still incredibly awkward!
OH OH OH I loved playing with boys my age :D I would run around and freaking wrestle?? With them??? Apparently I surprised at least one mother, because I was like… rolling around in the grass laughing my head off while me and her son play-fought with each other, and she said to my mom, “wow! I’ve never seen a girl play like that before!”

I ate food alllll the time but forever remained skinny as a stick lol (my catchphrase was essentially “I’m hungry” LITERALLY THE HUNGER NEVER LEFT I WAS ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOOD IT NEVER ENDED)
In ways I’ve changed, I think I’m more aware of myself when I interact with others, and I’m not nearly as willing to wrestle with anyone XD And thankfully the hunger has Mostly Left so I can actually get full lol (like right now! Just ate dinner and I am all filled up and content :)

Well, when I’m happy, I am very much unable to stop smiling XD I pretty much just smile constantly and oh boy, does it hurt my face. Worth it though :D
When I’m excited, I make lots of Noises (squeals) and I’ll flap/shake my hands around!
If I’m angry, I’ll be very quiet, with a blank face. I won’t say hardly anything at all until I feel not-angry.
If I’m sad, I’ll need to be by myself, and sit in the silence and think and let myself be sad.
If I’m annoyed, I get very irritable and snappy lol, and every little thing sets my nerves on Fire and I’ll be very short with whoever I’m around (luckily this doesn’t happen much).
If I’m tired, I’ll stop paying attention to what people are saying, my eyelids will droop, and I’ll lean my head against whatever’s around (usually the window in a car, or a table).

I wanna own an apartment. I don’t know if this really counts as mundane but asdfghj
But yeah, this past year or so I’ve thought a lot about how I want to move into an apartment someday, instead of a house :D And have it all to myself! It’d be mine and I’d get to make it my own and live there and listen to music over speakers and sit out on the fire escape when it turned to nighttime and scatter blankets throughout every room and cook frozen pizzas in the oven and pray aloud to myself and it’d be mine, and that’d be a little scary, but also good. I really want to live in an apartment someday.

oh god a project moon tier meta post, how bad was it
shockingly pretentious post going "i love how the characters don't have extreme speech patterns" then doesn't elaborate but only states facts at you with no bearing on WHY they like this, and describes the following, parenthesis is my own commentary when needed:
the character who uses -dono for everyone doesn't go full ninja (he uses -dono and gozaru because he's a geek. it's not rocket science)
the cult leader.....speaks like a cult leader (wow)
the protagonist is very polite but still has no issues cussing people out (yes... because he's kind of a detached bitch for many reasons.. i don't think this is rocket science either)
the annoying guy who does things to annoy the protagonist is annoying and speaks in a frivolous way but not too much because he's cunning and is faking it (no shit sherlock...)
now its pretty catty of me to describe the post to you like this especially considering anyone who takes one look at my blog will realize exactly what tag i was visiting and if OP stumbles across this— maybe just block me or something, but i also found it a little amusing there was a lot of highlighting of how they read the text on their own or whatever. (who cares. you are not special. i will go on as usual)
i personally read the fan tl for the main game (cc subs, so i can see the jp dialogue underneath, so im still aware of how ppl talk in the original text) because im lazy and there's too many hawd wowds fow widdle old me, read parts of the dlc (beginning and end, read the fan tl in the middle) on my own and then the subsequent game in the series, so i can weigh in on the labored upon "speech patterns" in their post— it is utterly mundane. i don't think anything special about the way most of the characters speak for the most part— the dialogue has very strong character voice present (something to lament about the existing fan translation.. i mean no disrespect bc they do fine for the bulk of it but the tone is so Neutral). and had i made that post, i would use literally any other set of characters. not exaggerating at all. at the end of the day it is just a fandom meta post and nothing serious, but this "stating objective facts without elaborating and acting smart for it" brand of meta post TRULY gets under my skin. you asked me about "projmoon fan tier" in particular so you must know exactly what i mean for it to pique your interest.
my entire point here is "WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY THIS" and "WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS GOOD". none of which the post communicates. it just feels like posturing for the sake of it. if they said "i like the dialogue like that" or "i think the character voice is strong" (as i said on my own just now) it'd be FINE. but the fact that i just had objective facts spit up at me with no thoroughline to the thesis of the post. and like, i don't think i'm very smart. i guarantee i may have said something dumb in this ask or contradicted myself and i acknowledge i am being PETTY. however... it really is an issue i have with "analysis" on here. also, this series has a strong presence of projmoon fans so like.

What I'm HYPED for
Already, it's somehow February 1st. The older I get the more I believe time is a construct with how quickly months, weeks and days go by. 2023 is full of things I'm looking forward too (and many things I'm not yet aware of) so I thought, why not give you guys a little look at the games, movies and tv shows I can't wait for in 2023.

Diablo IV
Probably my favorite series in gaming, is back once again and with being in the midst of reading 'The Sin War' seeing both Lilith and Inarius being the titular villains in this sequel has me extremely hyped. I have high hopes for the story, but seeing the return to the dark and macabre style, some fantastic visuals, the additions of verticality and a refined skill system lines up Diablo IV as potentially the best in the series.

Stalker 2
I still remember making a PC just to be able to run Stalker, back in like 2004; being in awe of the atmosphere the game could muster. Now with Stalker 2 finally on the horizon I really hope the team manage to capture that dread and fear of walking through the ZONE and throw some awesome creature design at us.

Starfield
Sometime 2 years ago I stumbled upon No Man Sky using gamepass and actually found it so much more fun than I expected. Seeing Bethesda basically put their own RPG-heavy spin on that idea has me excited. Although I was never a fan of Skyrim its now 10+ years since that game and if they can blend a great story with some fantastic survival / world building mechanics they've got me.

Nightingale
Any game that gives me an excuse to be able to play with my best friend is a great game in my eyes and Nightingale looks like a fantastic spin on survival games. The crutch of this one is being able to realm walk between worlds, which hopefully gives us a ton of diversity; from building your base to the weapons and monsters that are their to ruin our day.
I think it's meant to be out in the first-half of 2023, in Early Access anyway so this is one i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for.

The Invincible
I don't know much about this one, but The Invincible looks to be in the same vain as the fantastic Firewatch. It's an alternative-scifi with you playing a Russian astrobiologist thats stuck on a planet and has to get out. Story heavy games never had me very interested as a teen, but these last few years I've found some fantastic tales spun by the likes of Prey, Dishonored, God of War etc. and I have a feeling The Invincible is going to be another one of those games.

Nine Sols
This is actually the only game I have ever backed and I don't regret a penny. Imagine Sekiro, but 2D, hand drawn and a rogue like - that's exactly what Nine Sols is. You play Yi, who has to take down the Nine Sols in a asian influences cyberpunk world.
Having played the demo (and some beta) Nine Sols is shaping up incredibly; the combat is looking to be outstanding for a game of this type and I hope the guys deliver on everything I've seen so far.

The Ranchers
This is one of those unicorn games that apparently and hopefully will be able to do it all. Much like Raft, Grounded or Len's Island this is sort of a farming-simulator / survival game... but multiplayer. From what we've seen from the dev's in early trailers this could potentially be fantastic, with so much detail being on show. I would normally be hesitant with a game that trying to do so much, but having found a love in these more relaxed games of late I really am rooting for The Ranchers.

The Finals
The only straight up FPS on my list is The Finals by the dev's behind the Battlefield series. This looks nuts. A modern, highly-destructive team FPS where you can literally mash up everything, with some incredible physics defying fights. I've missed a great shooter in the vain of something like a Quake / COD mash up and I think this might be it.

Banishers: Ghost of New Eden
Ghosts. Ghost hunters. Co-op. That's all you need to know. Or just read my other write up on this here.

The Killer
The undisputed KING of macabre, serial killers stories David Finicher is back and this time he's bringing Michael Fassbender for the ride. Based on an obscure French comic book, we see Fassbender play the titular Killer, whose conscience comes into play the longer he is away from his last kill. Yup, that's enough for me. I'm in.

The Flash
This movie is finally coming... who'd believe it after it initially meaning to be realesed in 2018. With Miller spending a good part of 2022 doing his best portrayal of Eobard Thawne; the rumours surrounding Flash are that it's the best DC movie since The Dark Knight. I'm not one for that kind of hype, but the ground work is there. Miller (although a mad man) is clearly a fantastic actor, Keaton is back as Batman and we have Supergirl entering the fray. This could be the best CBM of the year if it lands right, and I think it will.

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning
It's another MI film... whats not to look forward too? Cruise has been trying to kill himself for entertainment for a good 20 years and I don't think Dead Reckoning is going to buck the trend. Fully expect this to be awesome.

Ferrari
After Bale and Damon put on such a masterclass with Ford v Ferrari, there's a lot to live up to for any car-related movie. Yet Ferrari directed by the great Michael Mann, led by Adam Driver has every chance of shaping up deliciously. I love Driver's ability to channel this suave-rage with his characters, something I think will tie nicely into his portrayal of Enzo.

Killers of the Flower Moon
It's been a while since a film starring DiCaprio had me excited - so a movie about the Osage Murders led by the afromentioned DiCaprio directed by Martin Scorcese could not have come at a better time. Im a sucker for anything with the words serial-killr so I'll be there day one hoping for another masterclass by this duo.

Air Jordan
Affleck is finally back. It's been years since this man has directed a movie but now he's back with his buddy Matt Damon, telling the story of a Nike salesman trying to capture Michael Jordan for the sports juggernaut.

Argylle
Directed by Mathew Vaughn (of X-Men First Class and Kingsman fame) is a spy movie, sporting Henry Cavill with quite literally the most millitant hair cut known to man. Steve Zahn would be proud.
P.S. theres nothing else out about this movie but thats more than enough for me to be excited.

True Detective: Night Country
This show is a bit of an oddball. The first season is seen as a classic, the second a huge step back and the third a slow return to form; so can this new season starring Jodie Foster finally rekindle the magic that was season one? It has just about everything going for it, especially the setting; Alaska, during the Winter - a perfect brew for death and mystery. This is one I'll be crossing my fingers for.

Shogun
A series set in 17th Century Japan, based on the legendary book, led by Hiroyuki Sanada? Oooh you crazy bastard I'M IN. I'm a sucker for stories like this and knowing the ever awesome KANEDA is leading this story of samurai, deception and survival it feels like it was handmade for me - and you can bet I'll be there day one.

Three Body Problem
The Three Body Problem, might just be the sleeper hit of 2023 if the men behind GoT get this story right. Having read (2 of 3 books) in the series, this is quite possibly the most wild sci-fi story I have ever red. Set in China, during the 1970s (and onwards) the way this story takes such a simply concept about alien contact and flips it on a dime is incredible. Really hope this does well.

Secret Invasion
I can't believe I'm actually excited for something Marvel, but this espionage thriller led by Samuel L Jackson is it. I have loved the more serious takes Marvel have attempted (The Winter Soldier) and this looks like a straight continuation in vibe and style. Adding Ben Mendehlson, Olvia Colman and more to the cast (with it being a mini-series as well) I fully believe this will be the best thing Marvel does the whole of 2023.
