least fav thing: the games forgetting her after aa2!! there’s so many fun relationships she could have that we’re being deprived of! my fav potential ones are her being a support for klavier to lean on after kristoph is executed (she’s been thru it before with mvk and is one of the only people who can provide true empathy there) and her friendship with simon (which I wrote about in another post here)

fanon pet peeve: not all, but MOST of the franmaya tagged fics on ao3 are for background franmaya in a wrightworth fic. it drives me insane as someone who just desperately wants to see these two lesbians together. i LOVE wrightworth too!! but sometimes being a wlw seeking wlw content in fan spaces makes me wanna scream 🙃

fav thing: again, SO MANY THINGS! His complicated relationship with guilt, self loathing and atonement after aa1 is super compelling to me (and something i super hardcore relate to with the ex catholic guilt). I think he’d have a really hard time figuring out the difference between atoning for his mistakes and punishing himself for them. like franziska, I love that he invents his own future after being told what he ought to be by mvk for so long. beyond his general character arc, I also LOVE his friendship with maya (steel samurai nerds 5ever <3) and adore the many fics i’ve read where they run steel samurai discords, tumblrs, ao3 accounts, and attend cons together, often never knowing that they’re interacting with each other in these fan spaces bc they’re Big Dumb ™ (and overly proficient at compartmentalizing bc of the #trauma)

least fav thing: this is more of a complaint with canon than him as a character, but I wish we knew more about his life in the period after the 4th grade trial and before the fawles trial. Also about his life during the 7 year gap. which is probably why these are the periods of time I mostly read/write fic about lol.

fanon pet peeve: I genuinely hate that so many fan voice actors cast him with a british accent. I know it’s just “default posh” but the man’s from japanifornia & germany lol. ALSO when fanon makes him into a twink. like, have you SEEN his sprite? the man has a brick wall for a torso. solid. huggable. though don’t let anyone else know the formidable chief prosecutor is a softie who gives out hugs to his giant gaggle of adopted children, it’ll ruin his austere image

fav thing: HUMAN WRECKING BALL OF A MAN I LOVE HIS STUPID ANTICS AND PASSION!! Eating the poison necklace, getting hit by a car, falling through a burning bridge... Most of these have to do with his dedication to someone he loves—and when he loves something or someone, he goes in with all his heart!! I also just love how fucking smart he is which I talk about here.

least fav thing: I really don’t like phoenix’s characterization (or character model) in aa5. first off, the character model is so fuckign ugly, dead fish eyes ew. I haven’t played aa6 yet, but to me aa5 is a huge misstep for the franchise. the game gave us the format change of 3D art, rather than adding in the format change it promised at the end of the game. where’s the MASON/juror system he worked so hard on? don’t get me wrong, it gave me things I love (athena and simon and aura), but at the cost of tanking the progress with phoenix’s character arc. and phoenix taking the lead sometimes really diverts needed energy away from apollo and ESPECIALLY athena.

fanon pet peeve: I have a few that irk me with phoenix.

that people characterize him as stupid when he outsmarted kristoph

people make him an incompetent cook. phoenix is someone who goes through money troubles frequently, and I think bc of that he’s had to learn how to cook at least decently well. I personally think he gives apollo and athena masters classes on how to cook on a budget (like, he has a packet drawer like the guy on buzzfeed who does the budget recipes) and everyone’s like “mr wright thank u but please take some well paying cases and quit the pro bono for a sec you deserve to not have to think about this” and phoenix promptly ignores it bc, again!! his heart is too big for his got damn chest!!!

i’m not naming names but there are some popular pre-wrightworth fics i’ve read that have phoenix get jealous of apollo and klavier getting together. I just can’t get behind it. phoenix is apollo’s dad figure. romantic jealousy? it’s bad, bud.

so. skam + remakes characters that would hate each other. i’m mainly just gonna do it by different versions of the same character because otherwise it gets too complicated + also i feel like the dynamics between characters would be about the same.

i feel like all the nooras wouldn’t really get along with each other that well, i think they kind of have that nervous, competitive energy where they would dislike someone for being Exactly like them. the only exception there would be nora grace because i think she has less of that energy. we’ll see in her season, though.

i think the evas would generally get along, however i do think there’d be a sort of split in between them. i think all three evas would be pretty solid pals, while megan and hanna would be more off on their own together, sort of as a split between the more carefree, party-loving evas and the more serious evas. however, i don’t think they’d dislike each other, they’d just not vibe as much.

i think all the chrises would have a great time together! now THAT’S a party.

the sanas would ofc all hate wana. otherwise, i don’t think any of them would hate each other, but they might disagree and have debates from time to time. i think amira n and imane would bond over being into artsy pursuits like dance and photography, while sana, amira m, and zoya would bond over being more sporty.

i think generally the vildes would find each other cringey and annoying, and wouldn’t like each other. i think there’d also be a kinda power struggle if they were put together in the same groups because they’d all wanna be the leader. however, i could see kelsey and viri being friends.

the ISAKS. now THIS is fun. tbh, i don’t think shay would like any of the guy isaks, including lucas rubio. i think he’s a bit too sunny for her, and she’d find that annoying. i don’t think lucas r would like any of the male isaks either (he’d be like you betrayed your friend??? what???) but he’d like shay and think she’s very cool. the one exception for shay i think is matteo, i think they could chill together. he wouldn’t like lucas r either. i think lucas vdh and isak would be buds, and lucas l would wanna join them but he’s a bit too sentimentalist for their taste. l gets along okay with r, but sometimes l says stuff about women and r is like dude. What?? he wouldn’t quite understand matteo either.

david and joana would def get along and be super buddy. i don’t think either of them would be that into the other evens, but they’d be friendly. i could see even and eliott being friends, possibly.

now between the evaks. i do Not think that isak would like eliott! like i said before about lucas l, i think he’d think he’s too sentimentalist, and would find that irritating. however, i think he’d be into david. i Also don’t think matteo would be into eliott for the same reason. he’d like even okay, but i feel like he’s not quite idk edgy or funky enough for matteo’s taste. obv none of the male isaks would be romantically interested in joana, but i feel like she and lucas l would get along ok as friends cause they’re both kinda corny. cris would like david because i think their personalities suit each other, but they’d only be friends. i think she’d be into even as well cause he and joana have a lot of similar qualities (ofc).

i feel like the jonases would be pretty divided. i’d see it as: jorge and yann, and druck jonas, marlon, and kes. i think og jonas would bounce between groups, but he’d hang more with the first group. i feel like jorge would really hate most of the second group, but otherwise there wouldn’t be a ton of strong negative feelings.

i think raptor alex, toilet sam, and pjo would all vibe together really well, esp alex and jo cause they’re both athletes. p chris and cristian would be buds too. gijs can do whatever i guess. i don’t think there’d be much hate besides mutual bro-ish competition.

finally, the williams. personally, i don’t think any of them would Really Like each other. but i don’t think they’d really Hate each other either. noah would probably be the odd one out since he’s more artsy than jocky like the rest of them, so he might not be a huge fan of everyone else. but he and alex may be able to vibe alright. i could see alejandro and daniel being bros as well, possibly.

“EEEEEEEEEEEP” The boys all hear Lindsey squeal as they run to the kitchen.

“What? What’s going on?” Tom asks, clearly frazzled.

All she can do is smile and hold onto her phone. Harry quickly snatches the phone from her hands. His eyes went wide.

“He finally grew a pair?” Lindsey smiles even wider and nods.

Harry claps her on the shoulder as Harrison scoffs.

“He did it over text?” And Lindsey nods.

Tom’s eyebrows furrow as he tries to figure out what exactly is going on.

“Chad asked her out, dumbass” Harry chuckles. Tom’s face lights up.

“Ohhhhhhhhhh. Took him long enough,” Haz snaps his eyebrows together and looks at his friend.

“All I’m gonna say, love, is don’t expect everything to be nice and happy and dilly dilly, that type of thing. Shit goes down sometimes, Y’know?” Tom advises her.

She nods.

“Who knows?” Harry adds, “There might be someone better just right in front of you” raising his eyebrows, playfully.

Lindsey giggles.

“Yeah yeah, grass is always greener, I know. I’m gonna go do makeup inventory!” She squeals again.

Throughout the day, Lindsey was buzzing with excitement, searching up various makeup tutorials on youtube and planning everything out appearance-wise. She and Harry did their nails while Tom was there to help her decide what hair to do.

“Haaaaaaaaaz” She groans at her close friend, sitting on her temporary bed.

“What, darling?” He asks with a shit-eating grin on his face.

“I’m not gonna just show up naked, you div! I’m being serious! What should I wear?” She asks him holding up two dresses.

Harrison clenches his jaw, muttering “You look absolutely perfect in everything, love”.

Lindsey looks at the floor and smiles, softly.

He sighs. He adores Lindsey, he always had. He just wasn’t happy about the choices she was making at the moment.

“Hello? Earth to Harrison?” Lindsey asks snapping her fingers, pulling Haz out of his trance.

He looks up at her with his bright blue eyes and smiles. “Hmm?” He hums at her quietly.

Lindsey lets out a heavy sigh and sits next to him, laying her potential outfits on the bed, behind him.

“What’s going on with you?” She asks softly, grabbing his hand and lightly running her thumb across it.

He groans. “I hate how good you are at reading people” She laughs, squeezing his hand.

“Yes, I am. Now spill. What’s going on in that head of yours?” Harrison chuckles at his friends interrogation methods. “Do you really need to go out with this guy?” He whispers.

Lindsey’s eyebrows snap together in confusion.

“What do you mean, Haz?” He drops her hand to scratch the back of his neck.

“It’s just-nevermind” He mutters, looking down.

“Harrison look at me,” Lindsey puts her hand on his cheek, tilting his head to meet her gaze.

“You know you can talk to me right?” He diverts his eyes to his lap.

Lindsey squishes his cheeks and nods his head up and down.

“Yes, Lindsey. I understand” She says in a voice imitating his.

Harrison smiles.

“Is that what you think I sound like, love?” He asks with a quirked eyebrow, making her laugh.

As the laughter from the two die down, she lets out a heavy sigh.

“But seriously, I’m not forcing you to talk now cause I gotta get ready, but eventually, talk to me, yeah?”

“Yeah” he mumbles.

Lindsey taps his cheek with her fingers before sitting up and walking off to the bathroom, and all Harrison can do is watch

As the sun sets, Harrison finds himself more and more agitated at the lack of his friend. Clad in a

loose pair of black shorts and a gray tank top, he takes out his anger on the punching bag in front of him. All he can see if her laughing, her smiling, her flirting with someone she barely knows.

Left hook, undercut, blow after blow to the bag of sand in front of him.

He doesn’t know who or what to picture the bag as, but right now, he just needed to get his emotions out. He didn’t even know what to call those emotions.

Jealousy? Love? Lust? You can’t be in love with your best friend, though.

‘That’s rule number one’ Harrison tells himself.

‘You cannot, under any circumstances, fall in love with your best friend’

His swings at the bag grow harder and more sloppy as the thought of the two of them being friends. One final hit to the black cylinder in front of him and he turns around, putting his head in his hands.

The bass of the music resonates in the center of his chest as he gets a sip of water and wipes the sweat from his forehead.

“Hollands are just getting in your head” He mumbles to himself, trying to assure himself to an extent.

“The just keep implying the two of you should date and it’s messing you up” He sighs, shaking his hands.

“You’re Harrison motherfucking Osterfield. You can figure this shit out”

“Well you are looking lovely as ever” Is the phrase that snaps Lindsey out of her thoughts as she sits in the middle of a dimly lit restaurant.

Not super fancy but not terribly cheap either.

“Chad! Hi!” She exclaims, standing up to wrap him in a hug.

Pulling away, Chad furrows his eyebrows. “You haven’t been waiting long, have you?”

Lindsey’s eyes widen.

“Oh my gosh! No, not at all! I just got here, actually”

He smiles.

“Good, good! You wanna sit?”

He gestures to her chair and she reciprocates his smile. The waitress comes over with a small grin.

“What can I get started for you two?”

Lindsey looks at Chad, signaling for him to start.

“Yeah um I’ll take a Jack and Coke and whatever the lady wants”

The waitress turns to Lindsey.

“Just a water with lemon would be great, thanks” She smiles.

The waitress nods and walks away.

“Whiskey?” Lindsey quirks an eyebrow “Fancy”

The two laugh and he brushes his brunette hair out of his face. The waitress comes back with the drinks.

“Have you decided on your main course yet?” Lindsey looks at Chad and they both nod.

“I’ll have the breaded chicken and asparagus for the side please” she starts.

The two ladies look over at Chad, texting away on his phone.

“...And for you, sir?” The waitress prompts him.

Chad looks up with a puzzled look on his face, before studying the expressions around him.

“Oh! I’ll have a hamburger, everything on it and another round of whiskey” He says, flashing a charming smile and handing the waitress the menu.

Lindsey does the same and subtly winces at the man’s pronunciation of ‘whiskey’ knowing the Hollands would grill him for saying it like ‘hwhiskey’.

“So you’re one of those people huh?” Lindsey asks as soon as the waitress leaves.

Chad raises his eyebrows, signaling for her to go on.

“You’re one of those people constantly on your phone?” She continues, rolling her eyes for emphasis.

“What?” Chad asks, clearly shocked.

“No! I mean, yeah I’m on my phone sometimes but not constantly” He defends.

Lindsey nods with her eyebrows raised.

“So how are you?” He asks, setting his phone face up on the table.

Lindsey smiles, takes a sip of her water and nods.

“I’ve been alright. How about you?”

Chad picks up his phone again before putting it back down.

“Sorry this is embarrassing. It’s just my friends want updates every half hour. Y’know when I tell them I have a date with a pretty girl from the coffee shop, their mind instantly goes to ‘she’s a psycho, she’s gonna kidnap you’ when, I don’t think you will. Will you?”

Lindsey smiles and shakes her head.

“I definitely will not kidnap you”

Chad flashes the smile that makes every woman in the room weak in the knees.

“And I, you”

Harrison leans back in his office chair and opens up his laptop in search for another job from Tom. After seeing nothing from his colleague, Harrison is about to close his laptop until he sees an encrypted file.

His mind flashed back to when he made that file to keep all the silly pictures the two of them when they were young, dumb teenagers. He smiles, making sure the door is closed, typing in the password and then scrolling through the pictures of the two of them. He lands on one set looks at the time stamp in the lower right hand corner.

They were seventeen at the time. The two were at the local pool with the Hollands. Harrison was shirtless and she was in that black bikini he loved to see on her. There was one picture of the two of them just smiling at the camera. Another one showed the two of them still smiling, only he’s looking at her with what Harry eventually called “heart eyes”. The final picture was her kissing him on the cheek. Harrison replicates the big smile depicted in the picture.

He clicks back even more to find a video of him. He clicks on it and instantly smiles at her laughter.

“Alright go, doofus” The young girl giggles behind the camera at her friend.

“Hi” He starts, gesturing with the knife in his hands.

“I’m Harrison Osterfield. And I’m gonna teach you how to cut hot bread”

Lindsey smiles and mutters a soft “You’re gonna poke someone’s eye out with that thing”

Harrison continues.

“As you can see, this is very hot”

He puts his finger on the bread in front of him.

“Ow”

Lindsey tried to muffle her laughter. Harrison playfully glares at her and continues.

“So instead of going with the conventional holding and… that, you’re gonna go… slight, keep tapping, holding”

He taps the bread frequently and then suddenly slams the knife down.

“JESUS CHRIST! HARRISON!” Lindsey screams after being pushed back into reality.

The two teenagers laugh as Lindsey goes to turn off the camera.

Harrison chuckles at the two kids on his computer screen, wishing he could go back to that day. Although the video showed nothing of her face, he pictured her with her infectious laugh and dazzling smile. He slams his laptop down, sighs and rakes his hands through his golden brown curls.

“Well, thank you for tonight, Chad” Lindsey says, standing in front of the mansion’s front door.

Lindsey could’ve sworn she felt like a teenager. Chad has driven her home and even walked her to the mansion doorstep.

“Of course” He says, pushing a stand of her hair before her ear.

The two gaze into each other’s eyes as the nearly magnetic pull brings them closer and closer together. Lindsey cracks a small smile as he leans in even more until their faces were mere millimeters apart and then

“You two done?”

The couple jumps apart from each other to see the one and only Harry Holland leaning against the raised doorway with raised eyebrows. Lindsey turns to glare at the younger man.

“Harry, you know it’s not polite to watch” She playfully mutters.

“Yeah yeah get inside, young lady. Or I’ll get Harrison down here”

Her eyes widen and she chuckles a bit. She gets on her tiptoes and kisses Chad on the cheek.

“Night, Chad” She says, quietly.

She walks into the mansion and punches Harry in the arm, muttering a slight

“Dickhead”.

As Lindsey walks up the stairs to Harrison’s room, Harry and Chad enter a staredown with each other.

“You Lindsey’s brother?” Chad asks matching Harry’s raised eyebrows.

Harry looks the older man up and down before grumbling

“In a sense”

Chad gulps, fearing the confrontation in front of him.

“I-I’m uh, Chad” he stutters, holding his hand out.

All Harry does is scoff and slam the door in his face.

As Lindsey walks up the stairs of the mansion, she passes someone in the bathroom, door ajar and everything. She stops and backs up.

“Harrison?” She asks, softly.

He looks up from what he was doing, meeting her worried gaze. Lindsey looks down to see his ripped up knuckles. She invites herself into the small space with him and closes the door.

“What the hell happened to you, Haz?” She asks, voice laced with anger and worry.

Holding his bruised and bloody hands in hers, she bent down to meet his eyes.

“Harrison?”

“What?” He grumbled back.

“I’m not gonna force you to tell me anything, you know this. But your hands…” She trails off before walking to the cupboard with the first aid kit.

As Lindsey removes the red box, Harrison takes it as a sign to use the toilet as a seat so she can do her work.

“This takes me back” She lightly smiles while bringing the kit over to him.

“May I?” she asks softly, gesturing to his legs.

Harrison nods and slowly she straddles him.

“As always, if my fat ass is smushing you, let me know alright?”

“Hey” he rests his bruised hand on her cheek.

“You know my usual answer to that, don’t you?”

Lindsey sighs, nods and grabs the gauze. She carefully removes Harrison’s hand from her cheek and starts to wrap the thin layers of gauze around it.

“What does it take you back to?” Harrison asks, softly breaking the comfortable silence between the two.

“Hmm?” Lindsey asks, looking up from her work to meet his bright blue eyes.

Harrison chuckles as she grabs his other hand, subconsciously setting the wrapped one down on her thigh.

“You said doing this brought you back. What’d it bring you back to?”

Lindsey laughs and shakes her head.

“Remember Quentin Harroway?” She asks, not even looking up from his hands.

Harrison scoffs.

“Of course I fucking remember Quentin Harroway. Son of a bitch made you come over to my place in fucking tears. Douchebag got what he deserved.”

“Easy, Osterfield he only stood me up and then ghosted me”

“And anyone with a brain would’ve treated you better”

Lindsey laughs.

“Is that your justification for beating the shit outta him?”

“Yep, and I like to think I did a pretty good job at doing so” Harrison smiles back at her.

Lindsey drops his other hand and places her hand on his cheek.

“Never change, Harrison” She whispers, her thumb rubbing against his cheekbone.

Slowly, Lindsey gets off Harrison’s lap. As she starts to walk away, Harrison grabs her wrist and gently pulls her back towards him earning him a gasp.

“Harrison” she whispers, gently pulling her wrist away from him.

“I just want you to know that all this,” He gestures to his hands.

“All of it was just a punching bag. There was no one else on the other side. No one got hurt”

“Besides you” She adds with a cocked eyebrow, causing him to laugh.

“Seriously, Linds. We are being safe. I’m being safe and it’s mainly because I know you’ll chew my ass out like there’s no tomorrow if I’m not”

Lindsey giggles at the last bit and brings Harrison into a big hug.

“Thank you” is all she whispers into his broad chest as he gently rubs his fingers through her hair.

The unidentified man sits in the budget motel room in nothing but dress pants and socks. The curtains are drawn shielding him from the rest of the world. The TV is on, providing a soft ambiance for his running thoughts. Open on his bed are various files, one of a curly, chocolate haired boy with matching eyes and a small birthmark on his upper lip.

Harry R. Holland

The second file had a slightly older man, similar hair and eye color, however there’s a scar on his forehead and he has a sharper jawline. More muscular than Harry but not completely bulky either.

Thomas S. “Tom” Holland

The third of four files is a man, the same age as Tom but that’s all they have in common. This man had caramel brown curls with blonde peeking through to the surface. His eyes were as blue as the sky. If not, they were bluer. His picture is the only one of the four with a smile.

Harrison J. “Haz” Osterfield

The fourth man was much older than the other three. He was taller than the others with less hair than them as well. He was on the chubbier side with the most bone-chilling scowl any man had ever seen. One look from that man and someone could instantly tell him what they deeply desired, what their future plans are and nearly collapse in a puddle all at once.

Gideon N. Fuller - DECEASED

The man’s train of thought is brutally interrupted by the loud sound of his phone ringing. He lets out an agitated groan as he checks the time. Seeing it’s way too late, or technically, early in the morning, he picks up his phone and looks at the caller ID.

Letting out a heavy sigh, the man answers the call.

“What?” He asks, voice laced with annoyance.

His legs flex attempting to stretch them on the rock-hard mattress.

“Yeah, everything’s going according to plan”

The man sighs, swinging his legs over the floral patterned bed and standing up slowly.

“Yeah we have a location on the Hollands”

He runs a hand through his stringy hair and pours himself another cup of stale, watered down coffee.

“Yeah and the Osterfield boy as well. I’m not a complete moron you know”

The man pulls back the curtain and looks out at the rest of the motel in front of him.

“Yeah it looks like they all live in the same fucking house. That’s pretty stereotypical if you ask me” He laughs and leans against the frame of the window.

“Um yeah actually there was a bit of a problem I needed to run by you” The man pauses, looking back at his files and then back out the window.

“There seems to be a girl who’s been staying with them”

Another pause happens as the man quickly paces back to the bed, flipping through the files until he finds yet another connection between the four men.

“Yes I know, I’ll take care of them all” and then the man laughs.

“What’s so funny?” He repeats the question into his phone speaker.

“You’ll just have to see for yourself when you get here” He chuckles as he circles the phrase at the bottom of the files in red sharpie

Sloan and Kevin unfortunately have a lot in common, despite being enemies so I’ll just list that stuff together:

Mr. Pibb and Red Vines, Chili Cheese fries 5ever (more than forever), they’re both avid smokers despite only being like 16 or 17.

Uhh... it takes place in the late 90s, so NIN and Smashing Pumpkins are kind of a big deal. Sloan hates Britney Spears but secretly kinda likes the Backstreet Boys (they’re catchy as hell).

Sloan’s best friend is Sarah. Sarah is not quite as grungy/gothic or whatever. She’s very nice but super oblivious to her environment. She’s much more outgoing than Sloan is. She plays varsity volleyball and has pretty okay grades.

Writing, drawing, trying to do crafts, singing karaoke, playing with my cat, reading... I don't do any of those as often as I would like.

I'm smarter than the average goat and I like to think I'm a pretty good writer, although I still wanna improve. I'm a good ear when people are sad or upset. I think my being eccentric is a strength, too. However, I have low self-esteem, anxiety and depression, all of which really holds me back. Also, I'm not a very good singer, which kills me because I love to do it so much. Oh, and I suck at athletics, like really badly.

For some reason, he shat on it, and after that he was followed by the ghost of a murdered Yakuza guy, because the "big egg" was the guy's partly buried skull that he had shat on. Told you it's a weird movie.

born in the salem, massachusetts on halloween day. descendant of an accused witch, son of an actual witch, and practices himself albeit casually. his dad is the county district attorney while his mom owns a small shop in town, so they were...lower middle class i guess. they always had enough to meet their needs, but couldn’t afford any extra spending or splurging. as he got older he’d go on to work small jobs around town, most notably as a janitor in the local movie theater. so no silver spoon or high horse here.

margo massey has been his best friend since birth. her maternal grandparents disowned her mom when she fell pregnant with margo, so elvie’s dad gave them some legal help and the rest is history. they’ve been best friends for longer than either of them can even remember, true ride or dies for life. if you don’t like margo then elvie doesn’t like you and that’s that on that. the antics of elvie croft and margo massey were famous in salem long before they were famous on netflix.

so he tried lots of different activities as a kid. he was a boy scout, he took music lessons, he was absolutely awful at tee ball, but nothing really stuck. he’s always had a lot of energy and a short attention span, so he gets bored of stuff pretty easily. 

something his parents and teachers would often notice about him was that he’s very smart. he’s a fast learner, one of those annoying types who seems to just do well in school and get perfect grades without even trying? that’s him. some people have even thrown around words like brilliant and genius. tbh they probably aren’t far off, but elvie hates being called smart to the point where he?? intentionally dumbs himself down 24/7 and passes it off as a joke

ofc that didn’t stop from being mercilessly bullied all throughout school. he had braces and glasses and chronic nosebleeds and didn’t play any sports and only had one friend who was picked on just as badly so he was definitely a favorite target of his peers.

fortunately elvie has much thicker skin than most people seem to realize. he doesn’t...really care what people think about him. at all. oh so what you don’t like him. he’ll have a good long cry about it while his emmy award is getting polished. not that he’s arrogant bc he honestly isn’t. it’s just that he knows his worth and your opinion of him isn’t going to change that.

he was fifteen when the rich & snobby abernathy family bought a huge summer home in salem and he met their daughter, astrea...it was love at first sight and to this day he’s never loved anybody else or even dated anybody else. their summer romance turned long distance when she went home in the fall. they were insistent upon not letting anything break them apart and aside from about a year where they weren’t together, nothing ever did. elvie croft has been dating the same girl since he was fifteen and just keeps falling more and more in love with her.

it should be noted that astrea’s parents absolutely hate him and they always have. he didn’t do anything except come from a poor no name family, which was more than enough for them, so elvie was resorting to climbing through her window and helping her sneak out in the middle of the night so they could see each other for even five minutes. it’s a regular romeo juliet story. how disgustingly lovesick and On Brand™ for them.

a year later he started his youtube channel at the age of sixteen with margo & the camera that he got for his birthday. it’s basically buzzfeed unsolved supernatural. he’s the believer, she’s the skeptic, and they go looking for ghosts! it was an instant hit. with every video posted they were gaining subscribers in the dozens, then the hundreds, then the thousands. they weren’t even in college yet and they were already two of the most popular & beloved names in youtuber fandom.

attended nyu once they did get to college. tbh elvie didn’t really wanna go?? he doesn’t like school, so he technically studied business and was top of his class as per usual, but he was mostly just there to party and hang out with margo and finally get to be with astrea all the time. he loves her so much like i can’t stress this enough.

too bad for him bc he got DUMPED in their last year of college. astrea broke up with him and then immediately went to saudi arabia for a year. he didn’t take it well at all, but fortunately he’d be distracted soon enough.

elvie and margo were approached by netflix producers who basically wanted to turn their youtube channel into a tv show which turned out to be a really smart move because ghost gallery is a HUGE HIT. everyone’s seen it. everyone loves it. no one can seem to shut up about it. basically think of the hype around stranger things and you’ll understand how much everyone loves ghost gallery.

they’ve put out two seasons so far & are just about to start filming for season three which is scheduled for a late october 2019 release and elvie absolutely loves his show so he couldn’t be happier about it!

and now for a few other fast facts bc i SOMEHOW feel like i haven’t covered everything yet!

loves horror movies, halloween, and scaring people. by the age of twelve he was getting full grown adults to scream and run away from him in terror while he just laughed and laughed bc it was the best thing ever to him.

it’s been a running joke all his life that he doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything and who knows? maybe he isn’t.

his other major interest? everything 80s. tbh at least 90% of everything he’s ever said is an 80s movie reference, often too obscure for most people to even catch. 

he’s extremely rich bc he spends almost none of the money he earns from youtube and netflix. he grew up poor enough to have the mentality that he can’t just go around wasting money on whatever he wants even though he very well could without even making a serious dent in his bank account. at worst he might impulse buy some extra candy or smth but nothing more expensive than that

they type of eccentric genius who will solve a whole rubik’s cube in .0000000001 seconds like it’s nothing and act like it isn’t even a big deal bc he’s already distracted by something else entirely. it probs gives people a little whiplash tbh

PERSONALITY: elvie is nice, but he’s not for everyone. eccentric is probably the best word to describe him. he doesn’t do things the way everyone else does. he’s extremely hyperactive and very ~out there~ which is a combination that’s just Too Much for some people. he tends to come across as either witty and endearingly charming or loud and flat out annoying. so he’s kinda terrible at making friends but it doesn’t stop him from trying. in general he’s well liked if only bc almost everyone loves ghost gallery, but ofc there are outliers so pls feel free to hate him. tl;dr he’s completely harmless but maybe a little annoying, will just ramble at you for hours about ghosts and horror movies and the 80s and assume that you’re friends because of it.

Relationship status: I’ve been with my girlfriend for over ten years now. If paperwork and governments weren’t so intimidating and unwelcoming, we’d be talking a little more seriously about marriage... but we also live in the deep south, and life is kinda awkward for a queer couple ‘round here.

Favorite color: Green, in general. Indigo, in particular. Brown, and dandelion yellow, and autumn red, and that pallid-grey-blue of a winter sky, and... all the colors, basically.

Top 3 Ships (in no particular order):

... i’m not much of a shipper. Um.

I guess it’s because, for me to consider it a SHIP, there’s gotta be something that exists outside of just the realms of fanfiction? Like, if personalities and situations have to change so much to make the ship work out that the characters are basically OC’s by the time it’s finished, then I can’t really bring myself to call that a ship, no matter how much I enjoy the fiction. Prime examples in that category are Sherlock/Watson (from the BBC Sherlock) and Dean/Castiel from Supernatural. The canons for both are just full of blatant queerbaiting, and the on-screen relationships between the characters full of abuse and manipulation, and I don’t wanna be all “Oh yeah I ship that” when, in reality, I ship the POSSIBILITY of what it MIGHT have been in the hands of better, more caring, less homophobic writers.

Still, that said:

Kirk/Spock and/or Kirk/Spock/Bones. A love that crosses generations and alternate realities, and a pair/trio that always find themselves inseparably together. Well-developed characters full of charisma  Kirk/Spock is my mother’s ship and I inherited it proudly.

House/Wilson. They literally drove off into the sunset to live out the rest of their lives together, yo (... and yet, it still wasn’t canon). My slightly less queer-baity, slightly less abusive Sherlock/Watson ship. Only slightly, though.

... um.

... I can say that, so far, I’ve been enjoying Eraserhead/All Might as a ship? They’re grown adults and they’re both written as good men with good hearts who really care about the kids under their care and are willing to put their lives on the line to do right. A mighty damned unproblematic pair of dudes so far. But the series is young and I can’t make any promises that this ship won’t need to be dropped like a hot rock if they change people?

(I know that at least ONE person is eagerly waiting for me to say Kirishima/Bakugo buuuuuuuut I, uh. Um. Sorry. They’re cute, with the matching red eyes, and I can see Kirishima having a crush, and that’s nice and all, buuuuut... I have to ship Bakugo with Midoriya. Sorry. It’s just. Bakugo’s OBSESSED with the boy in every single possible way and Midoriya hangs on his every action and there’s literally sparks and explosions every time they’re in the same room and love and hate are flip sides of the exact same coin and if Bakugo didn’t give a shit he wouldn’t care what Midoriya did with his time and...)

Submitting because it’s so freking long whoops…This could be a pile of dumbass statements, tbh I’m just overemotional sometimes (and we Italians are known for sucking at foreign languages so I cannot guarantee that what I wrote makes sense), so I apologize in advance :’)

ok now that I’ve read your adorable tags I just HAVE to tell you this because believe it or not I’ve been thinking about sending you this message for like, the past 10 days or so (but I didn’t wanna sound awkward or anything): it’s such a pleasure seeing you on my dashboard. You represent everything I love about fandoms.

You see, I’m a lil weird… I hate every kind of conflict, both irl and online. Fandom wars? My nightmare! I often see posts written by/for antis where the only way to defend a character/ an actor/ a concept, is to destroy another one. And not only I dislike it, it also makes me very VERY uncomfortable and it’s what usually ruins a fandom for me. Of course calling out toxic behaviours is okay, but other than that I find the whole ‘antis vs stans’ culture very unsettling (rn I’m thinking about Steve and Tony in particular because you recently stated that you don’t like Civil War and I couldn’t agree more).

But your blog is just the opposite! I mean, aside from the excellent quality content, you never reblog/write anything negative. Instead, you choose to analyze characters and situations in a positive and critical way, and whenever you reblog something vaguely more ‘aggressive’ you always clarify in the tags that your own point of view is actually far less extreme. For someone like me, that means the world. I genuinely find your blog somehow soothing, like a wonderful and peaceful place (now you know what I meant when I said I was afraid to sound awkward lmao).

And since your blog says a lot about you, all the things I’ve just said apply to you as a person as well. I can’t say I know you, of course (tho I’d love to), but I’m pretty sure you’re just as soft and respectful irl as I imagine you to be.

I love and cherish every one of my followers, mutuals or not, and that’s a fact. And needless to say, all the people I listed in my post deserve that spot. But know that even if we’ve never actually had a conversation, you have a special place in my heart (aaaand again, a w k w a r d  girl alert!), and that you’re one of my favourite people here.

Idk if you were serious about the friendship thing and I understand that creating a real friendship online is difficult for loads of people, but if you were serious I look forward to be your friend :’) <3
