It's jarring and funny and sad to see the entire Flash family patiently waiting around and walking places and doing scouting trips for intel during One Minute War.

Because, yeah, this is their normal speed. This is their normal behavior. We just aren't used to seeing it from their perspective.

They are calm and patient. They do think things through and make plans. People just can't see it because they're judging them based on the norm.

"Bart can't sit still for five minutes because he has a short attention span" no, it's more like "Five minutes is five hours to Bart and most people can't sit without moving for that long"

Okey so I've gone back a bit but, I just now realized that it says that they've been practicing.

As in they've done this before. Irey has thrown Jai before. This is something they've planned, something they choreographed. Something they've done over and over until they could do it confidently in battle.

i've seen a couple people confused about where best to preorder the issues of the flashfam's upcoming event the one minute war, so i wanted to make a guide!

i used the website tfaw dotcom (iirc tumblr is weird with links, sorry for no direct link) to preorder. it's a super simple process, and there are even DISCOUNTED PRICES rn! (!!!)

You know how Wally can briefly give non speedsters superspeed sometimes? I'm reaaaaaaaaaaally hoping that he does that in The One Minute War because the entire war takes place in a minute and anyone who isn't a speedster won't have a single fucking clue anything even happened until it's over. Imagine just going about your day and everything is fine and then suddenly BAM! You're standing in a war zone.

Here's my pitch for that:

Wally, breathing heavily and bleeding in multiple places: HEY CLARK! Good to see you moving buddy!

Clark: What happened to you?? I just saw you at the meeting and- WHY IS THE HALL OF JUSTICE ON FIRE???

Bart, jumping over debris armed with a baseball bat and also bleeding heavily: Oh there are bigger issues than that.

Wally: BUT! We don't have time for that! I can only keep you at this speed without you dying or exploding for.... probably one minute speedster time?

Bart: Give or take a few pico seconds

Clark: All I hear are explosions and shooting. There are no screams. Or heartbeats??? Why can't I hear anyone's heart beating

Wally, grabbing his shoulders: Clark I need your consent to throw you at a spaceship powered by speedforce at near lightspeeds. We're not sure what will happen but we can't fly and the weapons system is too slow to even fire, so we're kinda out of options here.

Clark: What???

Bart: Look, let's just throw Conner.

Bart: He's cool. He won't care.
