Pistilverse is an AU mostly used by Korean fanfic writers. In this AU, once a human comes of age, they will either turn into a stamen or a pistil.

If they are a stamen, they will have have a specific flower, if they are a pistil, a barren tree grows (kind of like a tattoo) on their back.

When they will "awake" and turn into a Pistil, signalled by a mark similar to a tattoo. The mark looks like a barren tree, branch or vine on their back, growing along the spine, from the tailbone up to the shoulder blade.

The tree takes about 15 days to grow, and the process is called "awakening".

once a Stamen and a Pistil sleep together, the Stamen's flower blooms on the Pistil's tree like a permanent tattoo. The number of flowers is proportional to that of the Stamens they had sex with, and they can have more flowers of the same type if they had sex with Stamens carrying the same flower mark. Pistils with flowers of different colors on their backs are treated like prostitutes.

About 4% of Stamens have poison and are called Venom Stamens; accordingly, their mark is a poisonous plant like poppies and marianne (Dieffenbachia). They can communicate venom to a Pistil during sex, "bonding" with them.

"Bonding" prevents Pistils from forming a relationship with a different Stamen forever. If they break this rule and sleep with another Stamen, poison spreads through their blood vessels and Pistils die of poisoning within 3 days. Stamens who have sex with a bonded Pistil will also die of poisoning.

That kind of puts a damp towel over my previous excitement.

Not because it's not a cool concept. I think it is! I like the idea of plant-like features in individuals, and that having different connotations and interpretations in society, as well as different "powers".

I just dislike tattoos 😅

If they're like scars, I can get down with it more easily. But if they look very similar to what we know as tattoos in real life, that's just not something I'm interested in.

It's a rather cool concept, though. To think about how different plant-people affect others around them and themselves. I think it's worth it to explore it more in the future. Just maybe in different ways other than images on skin. At least on my end that is.

So, somebody told me that people who enjoy omegaverse fanfic would probably be more inclined/willing to check out my Blue/Owen fic even though it's not omegaverse.

So, here's my post detailing said fic. If you're an omegaverse writer/reader, could you consider giving this a try? For obvious reasons, it's not up the alley of most people who read regular fics.

Brief detailing of why under the cut.

Basically, it's the penis-in-cloaca sex. Understandably, people who like standard human × human sex aren't super willing to read that. And I'm trying to build more of a story too, but at the end of the day the first chapter is just sex.

Do I think it's hilarious that the omegaverse fully assumes a divergent evolutionary pathway where humans either evolved twice, had different sexual differentiation somewhere along the phylogeny tree, and/or are more closely related to wolves than real world primate humans, or that the whole population is straight up werewolves and we never talk about it because by and large no one is turning into actual wolves?

I have a friend that’s visiting me tomorrow and being near xir (as well as other people from that era of my life) brings up memories from when I wasn’t just young but felt like a pup. And I’ll be honest, I’m a little worried about it.

This sounds fucking insane (or maybe not bc you’ve experienced this too) but I’ve changed from a wolf —> werewolf —> human with a wolf best friend. And suddenly, I just felt like I shouldn’t be a wolf anymore, promised myself I wouldn’t. So I began to train the wolf myself. It wasn’t easy, and we still fuck up a lot even today. But we’ve worked so hard that I’m not the wolf anymore; the wolf is simply beside me. He judges me, but soaks up all the attention I give him nonetheless. I think it secretly hates me, but I secretly love him, so it all balances out. I’ve tried listening to it more by doing stuff like miscecanis, but there’s no denying I still keep it on a tight leash even when I’m online or alone.

Main point I wanted to make was that my old friend wants to do things xir’s never suppressed but I have fully. Wolf things, I mean. And xe has watched my progression, saw just how I’ve changed myself. So knowing that’s something I’ll be facing really soon —that chance to not adhere to the training— is exciting for the wolf but not necessarily to me? I’m terrified. I don’t know what I’ll do tomorrow, what I’ll say, how I’ll react, and there’s no predicting the script this time. It won’t be in my control. But the last thing I want to do is back out. I need to feel tomorrow, that wolf needs to.

General

So, I feel like once all tiefs reach sexual maturity they'll start to either have heats or ruts, depending on their biology

Anyone with female biology will have a heat, and I feel like they'd have heats similar to cats but with a slightly longer time between heats

So generally they'd have a heat every two to three months or so unless they're pregnant or have other health issues

For the ones with male biology they'd definitely have a rut

They'd follow similar patterns to the women, but it's not unusual for some tieflings to have longer stretches between their ruts if they don't have a partner

A single tiefling that isn't particularly sexually active might only go into rut once or twice a year

I do think a male tiefling could prematurely go into rut if exposed to a females heat, and couples that have been together for a while will sync up

They have pretty typical heat and rut behaviours with nesting, possessiveness, and a pretty undeniable breeding kink

Nesting, possessiveness, and general mood shifts tend to start setting in during pre-heats and pre-ruts

Pre-heats and pre-ruts can last two to five days, and a full heat and rut can last anywhere from two days to a full week depending on the individual

In saying that, having a partner can definitely shorten both heats and ruts, so single tieflings working through things by themselves will have longer heats or ruts

Heats and ruts can also become more painful the longer they go on without the relief of a sexual partner

Tieflings can tell when others are in heat and rut mostly through pheromones, but a female tieflings tail will also involuntarily lift when she's in pre-heat/heat and around a male

I wonder if I should go so far as to headcanon that they have knots, I did already give them all ridged dicks

If you and Dammon aren't dating then he'll be much more shy about his ruts

He basically disappears from his forge and the public for a few days and then comes back as if nothing happened
