so my thinking was about how rye held back sea serpents in the golden door, and i wanted to try show what that might have looked like to the people of oltan? how wild it must have been, to be despairing at the tyranny and the sacrifice, and then some kid pops up and stops SEA SERPENTS from not only eating him but eating the prisoners??? and like these prisoners are their children. the crowd would have been filled with grieving, terrified parents and friends. so it must have been a truly awesome sight to behold

What Ancient cemetery:)

TEHRAN –A team of archaeologists has found a cemetery, estimated to date from the Sassanid era when they conducted excavations adjacent to an ancient fortress in northwest Iran.

Traces to the graveyard were found earlier this year when workers found some evidence during a road construction project near Oltan fortress, which is located in Ardabil province.

Evidence shows that the Oltan historical cemetery was used by the residents of this historical fortress for about 700 to 800 years, however, some graves were damaged during road construction, a local expert says.

Archaeogeophysical studies combined with magnetometric methods have led to novel discoveries. As a result of this method, as well as the aerial photographs taken by a drone from 95 meters above the ground of the castle and its surroundings, digital maps of the terrain will be prepared.

There can be no doubt that this castle was an important defensive structure in northwest Iran during the Sassanid era, but its studies and excavations have largely been neglected until this day.

From ancient to modern times, defensive walls have often been necessary for cities to survive in an ever-changing world of invasion and conquest. Fortresses were designed primarily to defend territories in warfare and were also used to solidify rule in a region during peacetime.

In many ways, Iran under Sassanian rule witnessed glorious achievements in Persian civilization. Experts say that during Sassanid times, the art and architecture of the nation experienced a general renaissance.

In 2018, UNESCO added “Sassanid Archaeological Landscape of Fars Region”, which is an ensemble of Sassanian historical cities in southern Iran, to its World Heritage list. The serial property is composed of eight selected archaeological site components in three geographical-area contexts at Firuzabad, Bishapur, and Sarvestan, all located in Fars province.

The components include fortification structures, palaces, reliefs and city remains, which date back to the earliest and latest moments of the Sassanid Empire that stretched across the region from 224 to 651 CE.

Oltan from Monster Rancher 3… it has exactly 2 pictures in google images + it’s my funny baby. This thing is what I raised on my most recent play through.

Not sure if anyone knows this game, but basically it would scan a dvd/cd from your irl collection and generate a monster for you to raise based on the contents of the disc. You can only raise 1 monster at a time + each monster type has regional variants (hence the seashell icon on oltan’s encyclopedia entry) so it really makes you wanna rip into all ur cds to find the coolest guy you can. Raising means fighting and training essentially, but most training methods only raise one stat at a time Duck Life Style. Some monster variants were locked to specific movies or cds, so they were more difficult to collect. This thing is just some random guy though. Idk which dvd I put in to get her.

The 1st and 2nd ones got remasters on the switch, but the 3rd one is the only one I’ve played (partly bc it’s the only one i own and partly bc it’s got some of the cuter 3D models in the series in my opinion… the creature designs r rlly fun in general though)

Third one also had this feature where you could use the ps2 eye toy and make your monster wear a mask of your actual face.

Jerma’s played some monster rancher on stream also which is cool!! I don’t recommend his stream of the third one though bc he didn’t like it + it bummed me out.

Mr. Oltan on Patreon put the new cool pools cc pack as Patreon only :( I've seen so many people suddenly making Patreon only stuff in the last few months, it's really sad

Cool Pools is such a weird situation…he posted this reply on his Twitter so it would seem the pack is early access and there is a free DL available on his YT channel, uploaded June 10th, BUT from all appearances it doesn’t appear to have all the models and is named Cools Pools preview pack. When opening the Rar file it has 2 models, 1 set of stairs, 2 pool waters, 1 pool bottom. The Patreon version has 5 models, 5 water styles and 2 decorative items.

So it appears, please correct us if we’re wrong but he’s pulling a leaf motif and some of the pack is Patreon exclusive. The Sims Community promoted it when they probably wouldn’t have if they knew it was only partially early access. Like good on him for releasing something but this is what we mean when we say it’s a slippery slope we wouldn’t be surprised if as time goes on his public releases become smaller and smaller until they cease to exist. Again if there is a public link with the full pack please enlighten us.

This isn’t some struggling CC creator from a third world country, this is a popular YouTuber with 372k subs and as of May 631 Patrons with a lowest tier of $3 and highest tier of $10. So is he the worst example of paywalling? Not even close. Does this tell his whole financial story not at all. Is it pretty unnecessary considering he’s already profiting off of Adsense and Patrons for Builds. And would he probably get a good amount of Patrons off of Early access CC, Yes.

We genuinely wouldn’t be surprised at this point, if for the TS5 EA still allows mods, resurrects the TS3 store but restricts creators from profiting off of them. Between kits and paying for a billion Patreons, we’ve shown them we will tolerate this behavior even if the creators are jerks.

TS4 is the most money hungry capitalist iteration of this community yet thanks to Patreon.

Mr. Olkan is just a symptom of this disease.

The engine slowly woke, consciousness returning slowly. As her vision cleared, a familiar shape formed in front of her. Her oldest sister was in front of her, a worried expression on her face

"Saint Martin?"

"Oh thank the Lady, you remember." Relief spread across the hall's face with shakey sigh of relief.

"I-I remember talking to you, something important."

"What's the last thing you remember?" She looked over to her side. A blue tank engine sat next her, one that was oddly familiar.

"I was being taken to the scrapyard." She tried to focus but her memories were foggy. "I-I remember hearing two people talking. They needed an engine, an engine to..."

She trailed off, before understanding hit her like a lightning bolt. "I'm not a Hall anymore am I?"

"You're still my sibling, hall or not." Saint Martin said decisively.

Well that answered that. "What am I now?"

"A saint class." The tank engine spoke up. "You were given the same rebuild as your sister but in reverse."

She was slowly piecing her memories together. " I wasn't well. You asked me if I was sure."

"Although you were saved, you never truly left the scrapyard behind." 4900 sounded defeated. "Times when you were lucid were often months or even years apart."

The tank engine, Caomhnóir, she suddenly remembered, continued for her. "When you overheard two of the volunteers talking about the Saint Project, you volunteered. You hoped the rebuild would give you a second chance."

"A reset."

"Exactly. It was hoped you would change enough to clear your mind, while leaving who you were intact."

"Are you..." Saint Martin looked almost terrified of the question she wanted to ask.

"I am not Maindy Hall."

 4900's face fell,"Oh."

"But...I was."

Saint Martin looked up, a desperate hope brimming in her eyes.

The Saint class was silent for a moment. "I'm not a Hall...but I look at you and still see my big sister. I remember Oltan calling me big brother...but I'm a girl. I have Maindy's memories...but they're distant. I'm not sure they're mine anymore."

Saint Martin looked down, "honestly, that's more than Maindy could say at the end."

"You're not Maindy Hall, but you're what he became." The tank engine said solemnly. 

"That's probably the best way to put it."

"I can more than live with that. I just need to know, can you?"

The Saint thought for a moment, staring at the ceiling in consideration. "Either way it was the right call. Maindy's last memories were clouded even to him. I don't think he would have made it much longer without slipping away. He would have given far more than this to clear the fog from his mind...I will need a new name though."

"We may can help with that." A human stepped forward from beside her.

She stared at him. "I-I recognize you."

He laid a hand on her bufferbeam. "I'm happy to hear that. 

"You were there when I was pulled out."

"Indeed, we hoped to give you a new life, after the scrapyard. It may have proved more difficult than expected, but it was worth every moment."

"Thank you," she said quietly, "not many would have given me a second chance, much less a third."

"You deserved that and more. Now as for your name and number, we were originally going to build a new saint from scratch before you volunteered. We planned to give it the next number in line for the class, 2999. As for the name, we chose Lady Of Legend."

"It's perfect." Lady of Legend smiled.

Mustafa Selim Özatay, Tarım ve Kırsal Kalkınmayı Destekleme Kurumu İl Koordinatör Vekili İrfan Gürbüz ve TAGEM Müdürü Özkan Özbay ziyaret edildi. Ziyaretler kapsamında, bölgenin kırsal kalkınma profili, OTP Ağı’nın stratejik planı ve sürdürülebilirliği doğrultusunda değerlendirilerek Çekirdek Grup toplantısı için bilgilendirmeler yapıldı. Çalışmanın ikinci gününde Elazığ Vali Yardımcısı Oltan Bayraktar koordinatörlüğünde Çekirdek Grup Toplantısı yapılarak, toplantıya katılan kurum ve kuruluş temsilcilerinin görüşleri alındıktan sonran Elazığ ilinin Ortak Tarım Politikası yapılanması için bölgesel sorumluluklar ve temsilcilikler belirlendi. Çalışmanın üçüncü gününde ise proje uzmanları tarafından İl Tarım ve Orman Müdürlüğü toplantı salonunda Elazığ ilindeki ilgili Bakanlıkların il teşkilatlarında görevli irtibat temsilcileri, araştırma enstitülüleri, Fırat Üniversitesi Su Ürünleri Fakültesi ve Elazığ Ziraat Odası temsilcilerine “Kırsal Ağ Sürecinde AB Yeni Ortak Tarım Politikası: Genel Tanıtım ve Stratejik Planları” sunumu yapılarak Odak Grup toplantısı tamamlandı. Yine aynı gün; tarım kooperatifleri, çiftçiler, yerel eylem grupları, özel sektör temsilcileri, birlik temsilcileri ve proje yararlanıcıları gibi bölgenin kırsal kalkınma alanındaki tüm aktörlerin yer aldığı paydaş toplantısı gerçekleştirilerek paydaşlarla ilin kalkınmasına yönelik potansiyeli, önceliği ve sorunları hakkında bilgi alışverişi yapıldı. Son gün ise İl Tarım ve Orman Müdürlüğü ve Tarım ve Kırsal Kalkınma Kurumu tarafından destek verilen büyükbaş hayvan çiftliği, yöresel ürün üretim tesisi ve çömlek üretim fabrikası iyi uygulama örnekleri ziyaret edildi.
