I loved getting to see Jasper’s character Thorn repair his relationship with Oliver and Teedles (at least most of it. Some more consequences might come up later, and honestly? That would be some very real family dynamics shit (and they are totally family) where what you’ve said might be forgiven or overlooked because it’s more important to a person to maintain a relationship but it isn’t necessarily forgotten. I hope Jasper and Aabria get to explore that a bit in future episodes).

And so, Alex and Lumina embarked on a new journey as guardians of balance, facing challenges and discovering new realms. With each adventure, they grew stronger, their friendship blossoming in the face of adversity. And it all began with a simple walk into the enchanted forest. Alex stood in the heart of the enchanted forest, awestruck by the vibrant colors and magical creatures that surrounded him. He was about to embark on a quest with Lumina, an enchanting being with shimmering wings, to find Lord Everett and restore balance to the realm. As they ventured deeper into the forest, they stumbled upon Olliver, a wise and ancient guardian of balance who offered his guidance and support for their journey. "Are you sure we're ready for this, Alex?" Lumina asked, her eyes filled with concern. "I don't want anything bad to happen to either of us." "We have to try," Alex replied resolutely. "Lord Everett needs our help, and together, we can make a difference." With determination in their hearts, they continued on their path until they reached the Dark Sorcerer's lair. The air grew heavy with dark magic as they approached the entrance. "You two shouldn't be here," the Dark Sorcerer growled, his voice echoing through the cavernous chamber. "This is not your fight." "It is our fight now," Alex declared, standing tall and meeting the sorcerer's gaze. "We will find Lord Everett and restore balance to this realm, with or without you." The Dark Sorcerer laughed, a sinister sound that sent chills down their spines. "Very well, I shall test your resolve. Prepare for battle!" As the dark magic swirled around them, Alex and Lumina combined their powers, fighting the Dark Sorcerer with every ounce of strength they possessed. Finally, they emerged victorious, their bond stronger than ever. With Olliver's guidance, they would face future challenges together, ensuring balance and harmony for the magical realm and its inhabitants. As Alex and Lumina continued their journey, they stumbled upon a wise old owl named Olliver. He had lived in this enchanted forest for centuries, witnessing the rise and fall of magical realms. He offered his guidance and wisdom to help them find Lord Everett. "We must be cautious," warned Olliver, "for the Dark Sorcerer's influence has reached far and wide. From that day forward, Alex, Lumina, and Olliver faced many more challenges together, always working as a team to protect the magical realm they had come to love so dearly. And so, their adventures continued, weaving an ever-evolving tale of friendship, courage, and the power of unity. As Alex, Lumina, and Olliver continued their journey towards Lord Everett's castle, they stumbled upon the lair of the Dark Sorcerer's minions. The air was thick with malice, and a sense of dread washed over them as they entered. "We must be very careful," warned Olliver, his voice low and steady. "Don't worry, we've got this!" exclaimed Lumina, her shimmering wings glowing brighter in the darkness. Alex nodded, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. As they ventured deeper into the lair, they encountered each of the Dark Sorcerer's minions - a vicious, snarling beast with razor-sharp claws; a cunning, venomous snake that slithered through the underbrush; and an eerie, ghostly figure that seemed to move without purpose. "Stay close," Olliver reminded them, his voice barely audible over the cacophony of growls and hisses. Alex, emboldened by Lumina's unwavering confidence, stepped forward to confront the first minion. "You don't want any trouble!" the beast snarled, its eyes filled with rage. "We're not here for trouble," Alex replied, his voice steady despite his pounding heart. He raised his staff, ready to defend himself and his friends if needed. But Lumina had already swooped in, her wings casting a mesmerizing glow that momentarily paralyzed the creature. "We're here to restore balance!" she cried, her voice ringing with determination. The battle continued, with each of the minions falling before their combined might. As they emerged from the lair, victorious and battered, Alex couldn't help but feel a sense of pride swell within him. He knew that with Lumina and Olliver by his side, no challenge was insurmountable. And so, their quest for Lord Everett continued, fueled by newfound confidence and the knowledge that together, they could overcome any obstacle in their path. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the enchanted forest as Alex stood transfixed by the sight of Lumina. Her shimmering wings radiated an ethereal beauty that captivated him. As he reached out to touch them, Olliver the wise old owl, perched nearby, whispered words of caution in his ear. "The enchantment of this realm is delicate, young one," he warned, "and it must be handled with care." In that moment, Alex and Lumina became inseparable, and together with Olliver, they embarked on a journey to find Lord Everett, the guardian of balance. Along their path, they encountered the minions of the Dark Sorcerer, but with newfound courage and their combined powers, they emerged victorious. Their quest complete, they returned to Olliver's tree, where Lord Everett himself appeared. Grateful for their efforts, he bestowed upon them the title of Guardians of Balance, entrusting them with the responsibility to protect the magical realm. And so, Alex and Lumina began a new chapter in their lives, united by friendship, courage, and a shared mission to maintain harmony across the mystical lands they now called home.

So I wasn't sure if this was just not relevant to Burrow's End, but Bennett being described as having his white winter coat come in has me thinking....

Why is Ava in her winter coat when no one else is?

As someone who has done character design before (and calico is a thing in cats, not stoats, so they are already playing with the realism for distinct and fun looks) I do acknowledge that it's likely just 'oh she's old and grey but she's an animal so it's her Whole Body'. And until this tidbit that's what I was happy to think of it, given that factor of their biology didn't seem to come up despite Burrow's End being set in the fall (I think? Can't find a solid ref atm).

But as Aabria notes, stoats change color during the winter, to better blend with the snow. Like this:

There's circumstantial evidence of humans going shock white (I had a teacher growing up who had), which is pretty debated... but, y'know, this is far more feasible a concept to get behind with a species that grows a white coat every year. She just never lost it again.

Maybe she's stuck in time, the most stressful time of her life, and her body thinks it's always winter. Perhaps it was a change, and she went from having coats more like Tula's (Viola seems to take after Kenji) to keeping her white coat no matter the season. Or maybe loss of much of her litter during that harsh winter kept her in that state.

Or maybe, looking at her again, she's albino. She doesn't have the distinct black tip stoats keep over winter (or was her tailtip bitten off? Hard to tell), but the black nose would say otherwise.

I just take animal coloration too seriously and it's fascinating to poke at. Not something I can research in my field, At All, but! Hey!

We'll know more when we see these 20+ year stoats mentioned in the preview, I'm sure.

Olliver's story is about how great human stupidity is sometimes. How cruel out of fear people are when faced with something unlike themselves.

Cruelty won't make anyone a saint.

Olliver is depicted here without eyebrows or mouth because he can no longer experience anything - neither grief nor rage. Everything that made him alive has been killed in him. His eyes stare into nothing, the spark is gone in them too.

In his arms is his murdered son. He was not his own by blood, but he was his own soul and heart. Human who killed Yassi... didn't even blink an eye.
