so it’s about this line

“... C’mon, keep it together, Gregor.”

in the japanese version it’s

「…よし、がんばろう、ぐれごぉる。」

to not overcomplicate this post... normally, you’d write his name as グレゴール, using katakana, because “gregor” is not a japanese word. however, in this case, it’s written as ぐれごぉる, using hiragana (which is normally used for japanese words).

why am i crazy about this...? well... if you look at the shape of the characters themselves you can see... 👉👉👉 グレゴール vs ぐれごぉる

hiragana (ぐれごぉる) is sometimes used instead of katakana (グレゴール) because the characters have a more rounded appearance compared to katakana, and thus give a cute, maybe even childish impression...

plus, if you just replaced the characters in グレゴール with hiragana, you might get ぐれごーる, but the japanese translation decided to make it even cuter by replacing the ー with a small ぉ (both serve the same function in the pronunciation of greg’s name, but having a smaller letter and even more rounded edges increases the cuteness...)

you could basically read it as if... greg called himself “gwegow”. it’s a moe way of speaking. he’s encouraging himself the way he would encourage a kid he’s looking after.

Okay atp ive rewatched the newest episode for the 5th time already (for obvious reasons) (father issues) (send help) So yeah Ive been questioning some things, like if the Church was there before (as seen in Tender Treats) then why did Michelle go to the Father Gregor only now? And why are the people so surprised there's a god damn priest in town??

But then there's this sign saying it's a 'grand opening', so yeah pretty self-explanatory. So the building was already there a year ago, and so was Father Gregor. Though nobody really knows him which i find KINDA ODD?? Cuz he's been there for QUITE some time, wouldnt people know at this point? However Mayor Evermore knows him and speaks normally to him (ehem cult shit). So idk idk, I just wanna find out how long was he really staying in the city. It just made sense to me he'd be throwing holy water at trick or treaters because halloween tends to be seen as like a fucked up evil holiday, and father Gregor is, wel,l a priest so it wasnt too much of a streth for me that he'd just hate halloween because its fucked up and evil

And then just whoops one of the trick or treaters happened to be like a demon or something, their friends just look a little shocked like ooooooooohhh our friends an ungodly creature :/

i yelled about this to Cross I'm pretty sure, but yeah it would make sense for him to be throwing holy water HOWEVER theres no implication its holy water besides the fact that Gregor is a priest

I do think it's hilarious to think Lucky is just a demon spawn but i feel like if that was the case they would've made it more... demonic?
