oh my god thinking about them (raymond fielding and arthur nolan). can't stop imagining them (hilltop husbands). i love them (agnes' failed father figures) so much. they (my blorbos) are so tragic and interesting and so infrequently talked about in canon and fandom that i can do whatever i want.

anyways wow i can't believe raymond fielding is canonically a polyamorous gay man and they/he pronoun user. love that he totally canonically has hEDS and it adds to the spider-like quality that his joints bend oddly, and his limbs are frail and spindly and crackling. can't believe he's bonded for life (and afterlife) to arthur nolan. can't believe nolan is a bisexual desi man, he/it pronoun user, and that he uses a walking stick. can't believe they're each other's opposites; a laid back, loose-lipped, charming stoner and a dry, straight-laced, silent prude. if people were asked to guess which of them spreads fear through flames and chaos and melted flesh and which spreads it through secrets and manipulation and obsessive planning... well, they'd be shocked to learn the truth. but that's part of their game. raymond's game anyways.

Arbitrary reasons I think The Magnus Protocol will tie in with Agnes Montague

The basis and most arbitrary reason of this theory is the three letters highlighted in “Magnus” in the poster. Accidentally read it as Agnes and formulated a whole theory. I absolutely believe it’s a hint.

Several people on RQ’s post of this picture provided a translation of “We will not falter” or thereabouts. Yes, it clearly plays in witht the concept of bureaucratic identity that Jonny has made clear is crucial to TMP but the entire issue of Agnes’ demise comes from her doubt, from her faltering.

The (TMP) institute burned down in the nineties. Yes fire can come from more than the Cult of the Lightless Flame but c’mon.

Jonny mentioned in one of the Q&A’s (I don’t remember which one) that he would have been liked to have seen Agnes alive within the series but that she had been assigned the role of the saviour in absentia.

Guys I’d just really love to have her around.
