The thing about vigilante is as much as I want like all of them but Adrian and Greg to be used more i do think they shouldn't ever be redesigned because you know theres a new vigilante every 5-10 years and it shows in their designs and I just think thats fun. Like Patricia is clearly a 90s character, Justin has that faux military thing that was big in the early 2000s, Dorians Sleek like a late 2000s character, Donny has that more obviously homemade look that was big in the late 2010s. Like you know. Its fun.

Just a couple more quick little cards I did for Garden State Comic Fest this past weekend--most of my little sketches sold and I did a ton of commissions on the spot so thanks very much to everyone who stopped by to see me!!!

And I still just think it’s just super cool these guys came to some random little convention in Jersey, the Peacemaker panel was great and they were both super sweet dudes :)

He supposes there’s no harm in dining with humans. It’s not like there’s any chance he will end up attached and then invite them into his home and—

Roman pulled himself away from the conversation with a stranger that he’d been dragged into to begin with. The party was loud. Crowded. Normally he wouldn’t mind that much. But the smoky haze was getting to him, and every time someone bumped into him he felt his chest constrict just a little bit more. He needed fresh air. 

‘Why did I come to this stupid party,’  Roman found a ratty couch on the front porch and sank into it, grateful that the nights had started to get chillier now that the worst of summer was over.

characters really appeal to me if they have daddy issues, abandonment issues, long luscious hair, and striking eyes (especially if they are a yellow or red). Bonus points if they were raised catholic and/or have sharp teeth

If a character has the same problems as me and the traits i wish i had, i will project on to them, steal their gender, and lowkey try to become them

I did just realize Dorians thing of feeling guilty about getting 5 years of prison instead of the death sentence because he feels like he has to be punished by the state but then he doesn't get that so he starts doing the whole becoming vigilante hoping one day it'll kill him thing. Incheresting.

DISCLAIMER he’s not my character he’s my friends character but i am like. psycho crazy insane about him and analyzed every bit of him from start to finish so.

adrian was born to an extremely rich and well off background and from the START he was always in the spotlight. he didn’t really have any parental figures in his life that he attached to (his parents were always off at a “vacation home”) but always had an abundance of servants taking care of him (like nannies and all that). he met atticus when they were both children, though atticus wasn’t as well-off as adrian was. from the start adrian was super attached to atticus — he never asked anything of him, he never tried to convince him to do things for him, atticus just genuinely cared for adrian. as the two grew up, adrian grows more and more withdrawn as he grows older with the realization of how lonely he really is, even with atticus filling some of the space in his usually empty mansion. being withdrawn slowly developed from sadness to resentment against his parents over the way they had frankly abandoned him, and he grew more and more unstable by the day. once he grows out of nannies, he starts throwing massive parties, getting tattoos and doing drugs with the money he makes from his modeling + influencer career (and evidently jeopardizing it in the process). atticus tries to wean him off of the hard drugs in an attempt to stabilize adrian (because he genuinely cares about adrian more than anything) (they also have a weed dependency. yeah .) and it works for a while until adrian learns his parents had been lying to him all his life. they had been caught as heads of a massive drug ring, and every part of adrians identity was false, right down to the name. that obviously does not go over well for a man as unstable and broken apart as adrian is

AND THE APOCALYPSE STARTS.

he hides in solace with atticus for a while until people start knocking at his doors, asking for shelter and food and warmth, and adrian obliges under the conditions they work together. when more and more people come in to fill the empty halls, adrian begins to organize his home better, creating a safe space and a community for people to stay in under his rule. and the people looked up to him for being so kind, so welcome. and he flourished in the attention he had been clawing for all his life, growing dependent on the love of the people beneath him. unfortunately with the growth of people under his wing came the risk of moles, the risk of being stabbed in the back and overtaken despite his generosity.

one of the people who asked for entry into bexley (the home adrian had built) was conveniently arin, with his girlfriend and girlfriends half-brother in tow. they’d met before offhandedly, but arin was willing to listen to adrians every word and whim. he always had been, always admiring adrian and always willing to bend backwards for him. adrian, full of paranoia and distrust, wanted the proof that arin was to be trusted, and told him to brand himself with the insignia adrian always wore — a star. and arin, who would lay down his life for adrian to prove his love, did as such.

this started a trend throughout bexley. members who arin, newly appointed general (he takes care of weapons and soldiers and patrols and stuff so adrian can focus on strategy and public face) deemed safe and who wanted to join bexley would be branded with the bexley insignia (willingly! they knew what they were signing up for). and they would be allowed to cook food, handle weapons and medical supplies, etc. (non members would still be fed and sheltered and given medication/bandages obv but they couldnt do it themselves for risk of stealing and would be allowed to arm themselves off bexley territory).

however, the cracks in adrians safe facade started to show face, and people began catching wind of his clutching them closer to his chest and his need for their love and some started trying to leave. adrian obviously couldn’t let this happen, and he asked arin to execute those trying to run. adrian was officially rising as a leader.

eventually a patrol of arins come across a group of four (ehe) and allow them into their group for safekeeping until now. adrian personally meets them, as he wants to acquaint himself with everyone so everyone knows who he is, and even gifts one of them a prosthetic to replace the loss of his arm. however, unbeknownst to him, the group had unintentionally led the opposing nearby (very aggressive) community (columbus) right to his front gate, and thus begins the crumble of bexley before adrians very eyes. and adrian loses his SHIT. he knows its those people who led columbus to his door, who stripped him of everything. he knows its their fault. they took his people, his friends, his family, his home. and they will get whats coming to them.

he spends some time trying to salvage what was left of bexley to allow for some safety before letting arin just take over while adrian leaves with atticus to hunt down those people himself. they will know the pain he felt. he would chase them to the ends of the earth if it only meant they would know his pain.

his last moments are confronting those people who took everything from him and a sudden flash of burning white searing through his face, and he dies with a final breath to atticus, thanking him for everything he’d done for him.
