I've posted a mini i had made in Hero Forge of this character a few years ago, But this is Despiria my Tiefling Bard that I played IRL.
She never got to finish her campaign (also took place in the forgotten realms) so she's getting to do her adventure in bg3 :)
There are a lot of mods here so if you wanna know any let me know in the replies and I'll list the cosmetics I used!

saw a video about 2 player ttrpgs and one of them was like "this one's about a pretend marriage" and i was like oh? and i looked it up on itch (eyes on the prize, fyi) and it's 50% as of right now and i was like OH? and i bought it immediately & ive read most of it and i am a big fan. and i KNOW that i have friends who would have fun playing it (it's a 2 player or 4 player game; the 4 player variant has 2 fake couples) but asking them is going to be so cringe. yeah we're gonna make up people and pretend to be them and then pretend to pretend to get married and the characters when they start their pretending they're gonna be like "oh we don't have any romantic feelings towards each other this is strictly plot" but then (get this) they will start to develop real feelings for each other. and we're gonna act it out together and pretend to be them but don't worry! we have no romantic feelings towards one another. this is strictly plot. when WE (irl) pretend to be in love it's actually platonic, unlike the people who we are pretending to be to each other. so do you have like 2-5 hours you wanna dedicate to that next week
and the worst part is that's 100% what i want. like i have roleplayed romance before with friends it is literally not a big deal because the whole point of roleplay is that the character ISN'T you. but with a fake relationship the crushing weight of dramatic irony hovers behind me

Me after watching the last episode of Candela Obscura: I now need to read more steampunk books and more witchy/kinda lovecraftian books now, I don’t know why, I just do.

Hello Tumblr! The ST of a game I am in is looking for players for a different game, this one Changeling: the Dreaming 2oth one, and they asked if I could make a post for them to get some members! Here's the information, courtesy of them:
"The game is a pbp, but the game has no dedicated ST. There are 'Rules Staff's that meditate rules conflicts or questions, but otherwise the game is run by the players in a collaborative method. Players get 4 character slots, but can create NPCs for the story as they please.
So far our player base is mostly new folks, so we are welcoming anyone at any level of knowledge.
We will be using c20 exclusively to keep things simple for the new players to c20.

This game is set in the County of Lime, located in the San Juan Islands of Washington State.
This small picturesque archipelago is a beautiful tourist trap. A little slice of heaven in the Pacific Northwest. With only 17000 people living on the islands, everyone knows everyone and a strong sense of community is fostered.
The changelings of the County of Lime are no different. Young or old, Seelie or Unseelie, Noble or Commoner, the island is too small to avoid it all, though some will still try. Each one seeking to make dreams and nightmares come to life.
Well, how will you dream?"
The server link is right here!

play by poll: race/lineage
i've seen a couple of ttrpg blogs doing character building through polls, and it seemed like fun! so i decided to make a character building poll series (loosely d&d inspired) that will hopefully turn into a choose your own adventure story with the character you build!
welcome, stranger, to the adventurer's hall. i'll just need to gather a few details about you before we can find you the perfect quest!

assumption: you've played some form of ttrpg and if you have, you either 1) are the gm or 2) get rly rly into the roleplaying aspects
I've played two games of DND so I guess this makes it partially true! Never been a GM but ehhh not so much with the roleplaying aspects - I'd like to think if I play more and regularly, I'd get more into it but right now, na. :)
make an assumption about me game

which non-dnd ttrpg systems have you played or run?
I haven't explored super far into the scene (which I really wanna change cause ttrpgs are so cool to me), but a few I can list off the top of my head are Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, like I think a whole session of Pathfinder and a couple others I am most definitely forgetting (man I REALLY gotta play more ttrpgs)
Honestly, I've really been meaning to delve into this scene in more depth, so if anyone has some good systems they recommend, I definitely wouldn't mind some suggestions!
