“Can I say something off topic without you freaking out?” Zane asked. Roman gave him a look. Roman’s mind flashed to his and Lucy’s conversation outside the student center, and he tried to bury the sudden rush of guilt, and the intense anxiety that Zane had overheard them. He wasn’t ready for that conversation.
“Uh… yeah.” He said, worrying his bottom lip.
“Look, so I know you and Lucy are like… close.” Zane started, seeming to tread carefully. Roman’s brow furrowed, suddenly unsure of where this line of conversation was going.
“And I know you’re like, engaged now, or whatever.”
“Get to the point, Zane.” Roman said.
“Okay okay, I was just wondering like… you and Lucy…?”
Roman almost physically recoiled, making a face that was probably fairly rude if he was honest with himself.

"I don't want to be at daycare," Valerie whined, clutching tight onto the collar of Roman's shirt.
Roman sighed. "I'll pick you up in just a few hours," he promised her. "It won't be long."
"I don't want to!" Valerie declared again. "Ms. Selene is mean to me!"
Roman felt as if his heart broke into tiny little pieces. Something he had quickly learned about his daughter was that it was impossible to tell when she was exaggerating and when she was telling the truth. Rachel claimed she had the ability to tell. Still, what if Ms. Selene was actually cruel to his child, and he was forcing her to daycare to be with an abusive teacher for hours at a time?
"Why is Ms. Selene mean?" he tried to ask instead.
"She took my dolls," Valerie cried.
That was enough to finally make Roman skeptical. "The dolls you were chewing on?"
Valerie started weeping loudly.

Roman Polanski writes and directs, based on Ira Levin's 1967 novel. Mia Farrow stars with John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer, Maurice Evans, and Ralph Bellamy.

Dreams of the Sea • Rosie Memorial Art Gallery, Sable Square, Brindleton Bay • Nov.26-Dec.18
The Rosie Memorial Art Gallery presents its last exhibition of the year: Dreams of the Sea, by young artist Noah Finch. The exhibit centers around the beautiful yet menacing aura of the sea, the paintings reflecting its eerie elegance and deathly charms, heightened by the masterful watercolour technique of the painter. Evening showings feature haunting piano or violin performances by the artist himself, complementing the various compositions of the exhibition.
Noah Finch, native of the Bay, studied art at the University of Britechester and has known a steady rise in popularity since his graduation.
The exhibition is on until December, 18th, evening showings are scheduled every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 6pm.
SERIES
Arkhelios, the iconic drama series, has been renewed for another season! Will Melvin's murder investigation finally reach its conclusion? Will the different resurrections around town be discovered? Will Abe and Roman's relationship survive college life? Whose secrets will finally be revealed by local gossip queen Alex?
While we wait for all these questions (and more) to be answered next season (or not), why not binge the whole series again on potentialfate-sims.tv? All past seasons have finally been uploaded for us to savour to our heart's content!

A/N: I wrote this as a commission for someone who tumblr is being glitchy and won’t let me tag rn. The original post is up on my old blog @rowan-sins but I figured I’d post it here too
Content warnings: fem!reader, coming out
In order to feel the joy of being loved you must face the horrifying ordeal of being known. Or the time the sea salt breeze on Dressarosa shores eases you into confessing your deepest secret.
You can taste the salt on your tongue, from the balcony overlooking the streets of the small trading port you called home. The balcony is small, barely enough room for two people to stand next to the potted plant you put petunias in it.
Enough room for you to stand shoulder to shoulder with someone you love far more than a friend. Enough room for you to justify encroaching in Bellamy’s personal space. He hardly seems to mind, if the way he scooches away from the side railing and presses his bicep into your shoulder, letting your head rest against the hard muscle of his arm.
You can taste the salt on your tongue, heavy like the ocean just behind your house. You can taste the truth on your tongue, light like the sea breeze the tickles your nose. It’s a confession you owe to no-one that falls off your tongue.
“I’m bisexual,” you say. It breaks the peaceful silence. And the air feels tenser now that your truth has been spoken. You don’t know why you said it. Or what compelled you to do so. This was very much your business and not his, but it still sat in the open air, light and frothy like sea foam stuck in sand of shore.
“Is that so?” He responds. “I’m glad you’re finally honest with yourself.”
Shock colors your expression, and you look at him incredulously. He turns to look at your expression, and smiles at the blatant shock on your face.
“How the fuck did you figure it out before I did?” You exclaim.
The wind ruffles his blonde hair, and if you weren’t mad at him, you’d reach up and fix his hair himself. But he’s being stupid, so his stupid blond hair can be as messy as the higher powers deem necessary.
“With that haircut…” He grins even wider, his fake teeth almost indistinguishable from the real ones “… I’m surprised you didn’t come out as a lesbian!”
“Bellamy!” You punch him in the shoulder when he starts laughing.
“Also, you’re not as slick as you think you are staring at Baby 5’s boobs.”
The second time you punch him you aim for the face.
You could probably hear his yell from the streets of freshly liberated Dressarosa. “Hey! What was that for!”
“Being a jerk!”
“Oh so I’m jerk now!”
“Yeah a big old meanie!”
“I’ll remember that the next you ask me for help when you fall out of a chair!”
You laugh and roll your eyes when he pushes you into the side railing on your side of the tiny balcony. “Like I’ll need your help when I get a pretty butch girlfriend.”
“Like you need a pretty butch girlfriend when you have me.”
The world gets quiet again. Birds chirping drowned out by the silence between you two.
“That’s the lamest way to ask someone out. Ever.”
“But did it work?”
“You free Wednesday evening?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Then it’s a date!”
“That was even lamer than what I said!” He exclaims.
You roll your eyes and lean closer to him. “But did it work?”
He groans and leans down, closer to you. “Just shut up and kiss me.”
And well, who were you to deny such a lovely request from such a lovely friend.

“To be honest, I don’t know. I’m kinda stuck here.” Lucy grit her teeth and her mouth pulled down in a small frown. “We’ve been friends since I was twelve, but Ulyssa dipped on me and left me with the mess. And Zane’s actually pretty decent now that I’ve gotten to know him, and I know you don’t like lying to him.”
She sighed and then added, “I feel a little guilty too I guess.”
“He deserves to know…” Roman muttered, “... I’d want to know.”
Lucy shot him a glance. Luckily, Roman didn’t have to worry about any unknown children running around. She’d have killed her brother if he’d tried that.
“I know.” She said, “I tried to convince her to tell him herself, but she’s intent on pretending it’s not happening.”
Roman’s brows shot up, “How do you do that when you’re 8 months pregnant?”
“beats me.” Lucy shrugged. How would she know? She hadn’t heard anything from Ulyssa since the start of the semester.
Roman huffed in response, “Look I just… I can’t keep—”

Roman lowered his voice even more. "Look... I know Valerie can't be mine," he whispered.
"She is-"
"It's okay," Roman said, hushing her. "I... I should probably be angry. I'm too tired to be angry. I'm exhausted."
Rachel stared at him for a moment, then nodded. "Okay."
Roman thought for a while. "I'll act like Valerie is mine, and you will act like Martha is yours," he suggested.
"I practically already do," Rachel mumbled. "But come on, people will know I haven't been pregnant."
"We'll come up with something," Roman said. "I've seen it on TV... Some women don't know they're pregnant until it's time to give birth."
Rachel's brow furrowed. "You think I'm that stupid?"
Roman rolled his eyes. "Well, others might."
Rachel gritted her teeth, but didn't protest. "So what? We tell people we had a child and get married?"
"I- What? No!" Roman exclaimed, so loud he began to fear he would wake up the children. "I mean..." He considered it. Before his detour, he had proposed marriage to Rachel. It had felt right, in that moment. Now, it did not.
"I'm joking," Rachel said in a tone of voice that no one used when joking. "We're former partners who have children together. Agreed?"
Roman nodded. "Agreed."

Pia and Pelle both make their bed every morning, Pelle with more enthusiasm and joy when doing so. Lucy more often than not leaves it as it is and won't notice or think about it. Kaeileen will not do it and then will bemoan the fact that she won't do it.
17. which oc likes country music? which oc HATES country music?
Ulyssa secretly likes country music. Pelle thinks it's all right. Roman absolutely despises it and will get up and leave if it plays anywhere near him.
26. what is your oc’s favorite art movement?*
Abe prefers to just draw portraits most of the time. But surrealism is his favorite. And honestly, I think it resonates with him emotionally because he can't really comprehend his own feelings, so seeing art he can't comprehend connects with him.
28. which oc would start a podcast? what would it be about?
I could picture a lot. Pelle would have a polyamory and/or LGBT themed podcast. Narcissa would start a podcast that no one would listen to. If Leofric becomes more confident in the future I could picture him starting up a sports podcast with an odd philosophical angle.
