This magazine poster makes part 5 of tri seem so epic when it was anything but. Oh ophanimon falldown mode, kari, if only you got your time to shine.... meiko you and Raguelmon actually seem pretty cool and determined here.
If only this poster was reflective of the actual content of the movie. It could have been so interesting to see hikari fall into darkness and despair and meiko actually be supportive of her. Or hell if we actually got decent parallels and a real friendship between these two, since meiko's whole image and character was designed to be the opposite of hikari and meicoomon is just another gatomon/ tailmon variant, that would of elevated things to a new level

for the record, i do like ofanimon a lot more than seraphimon conceptually, my sympathy with seraphimon is mostly because of the design, and a combination of how badly he's usually treated in the anime AND by the fandom as well
i do realize that, with the way that seraphimon is set up he is a poster child for "well-intentioned extremist" syndrome, since he is the only great angel that represents justice(tm) instead of love or wisdom, and thus he is more likely to take on the role of the violent-crusader-as-an-allegory-for-bigotry-and-centuries-of-oppression-in-the-name-of-christianity lame stale edgy 2005 ass stereotype. he's like the ultimate cop of holy digimon. i get that. sure.
but that's just a reading that we can decide to do, or not, so if venting your own feelings onto a character because they remind you of something you hate makes you feel better, be my guest (i feel like yggdrasill fulfills that role a lot better BUT ANYWAY)
i mean like. the guy just can't catch a break.
02: had ten seconds of screentime before being defeated by a slap from a digimon that's supposed to have a similar power level
frontier: had only one episode and was defeated by his own technique, fans took it as proof of him being weak !Some!how!
tri: his reveal had weird ass pacing issues and seemed to appear out of nowhere??? and it's like. "theh he is. he's here! anyway let's move on"
2020: LAME ASS DEBUT EPISODE??? goddramon's was a lot cooler, same for ofanimon
i wouldn't say seraphimon is underrated, you got tons of straight guys basing their entire personality on the main patamon line, and even one of the most acclaimed fan animators in the fandom is a HUGE sera fan
but i'd definitely say he's overhated, tbh. he doesn't ever exhibit half of the negative things many fans seem to associate with him (perhaps through conflation with takeru's character arc in 02), for all we know, he could be a pretty sweet guy, idk. so i can't help but protecc. my boy does not deserve the slander and i'm dying on this hill

After tons of work thinking, redoing and analyzing. I have redone my Digimon total drama crossover, and in this one every contestant and host gets a partner. It’s not much a serious au as if it was, it would be a much smaller cast and have a more interesting plot.
Also if this were to be a competition fic, then l would have it like this.
First boot- Rookie only
Premerge- Rookie -> Champion
Merge- Rookie -> Ultimate
Finalist- Rookie -> Mega
The main exceptions to this would be
The hosts- All would have access to all their levels, Commonly staying in ultimate level and be at mega in the finale.
Ezekiel, He would be Rookie only in island, Champion in world tour, Ultimate in Revenge and Mega in All stars
Scarlett would also achieve mega due to taking over the island and the contestants would have to fight her off.
Ridonculus race, It doesn’t have a merge so it would be
18th: Rookie only
17th -> 10th: Rookie to Champion
9th -> 3rd: Rookie to ultimate
Finalists- Rookie to mega
For all the partners, I’ve tried to make sure that all of them match their personality, reference a talent they have, the team they’re apart of, an episode they play a part in, or I just think they look good with the Digimon I chose. Also keep in mind that Digimon can become anything and isn’t linear, so yeah some lines will get very weird at times. Also yes, I’m also using appmon for some of them cause they fit and if I didn’t we would have even more repeats.

Sinceramente non sono interessata a quei quattro ragazzi, ma mi avrebbe interessato vedere i nostri eroi nei panni dei cattivi🤣🤣.
Trovo i tipi di Junpei e Izumi e Co. Molto piu’ adatti a un ruolo perfido poiche’ piu’ temibili (l’acqua e’ l’unico piu’ credibile da questo punto di vista, a mio parere). Immagina un antagonista che sa padroneggiare il tuono😳. O un altro che sa creare uragani. Tanta roba
