here is a sorta comprehensive post about the band (still to be named)

Sage: Lead Singer, Lead Guitarist, Secondary Bass (if a song is written to have keys and Bass then Sage does bass), is audhd (therefore shenanigans onstage)

Ayon: Pianist/Keyboardist, Primary Bass, Backup Vocals, Secondary Spokesperson (if Jonathan isn't talking it's most likely Ayon)

Jonathan: Drummer (nothing too extraordinary here), Main Spokesperson (talks most in interviews)

Theia: (pronounced tey-a/Tey-ya) Rythym/Backup Guitar, Secondary Vocals, Backup Vocals, most quiet in interviews (is also least seen in interviews)

The band also has cats! and they're also deaf so they are sometimes seen at gigs! (drawing of cats under readmore)

Sage finds Harper in the castle's southwest tower. He's looking out one of the open windows and, if she had to guess, overseeing the final funeral proceedings. She makes sure her footsteps are soft but able to be heard as she walks to stand by his shoulder. They stand there in silence for several minutes, simply watching the smaller figures of the rest of their family rush around to make sure everything is in order for later.

Harper breaks the silence first, soft voice nearly lost in the winds. "How'd you find me?"

Sage smiles fondly. "You're my son. I'll always find you."

He scoffs, but his shoulders lose a bit of the tension that's built up since they heard the news.

"I'm not sure I can really believe it," he quietly confesses after a long moment.

She glances at him, humming encouragingly. The circles under his eyes are darker than she's ever seen on him. His hair is unkept, no doubt from him running his hands through it. He's paler than usual; she's pretty sure this is the first time he's been in direct sunlight for the last few weeks. Her son looks small and Sage's heart aches for how grief has bended his spine and weakened his appetite.

"Alex is, was- was just so...He seemed larger than life," he chokes out. "Like, like nothing in the world could possibly bring him down. But obviously that's not true because he's dead now. He's dead and I don't- I can't-"

Sage closes her eyes against the building tears, taking a deep breath as she listens to her child quietly break. She reaches out and carefully tugs him into a hug, throat closing up as she realizes he still fits underneath her chin. He's still so young.

Harper shudders in her hold for a moment before melting into the contact and clutching the back of her dress - something he hasn’t done since he was twelve. Since the Damarises first attacked, kickstarting the war. Since her husband became harsher with his words in his stress and worries, and had admonished Harper for seeking comfort.

She swallows down a sob, tightening her hold as if he’d vanish into air if her hug wasn’t strong enough.

“Mom,” he cries. “Mom, he’s gone. He’s really gone.”

“I know, baby,” she whispers, rubbing his back. “Shh, I know, I know. You can cry. It’s okay. I promise you can cry. You’re safe. Shh.”

Harper’s knees buckle as he breaks into sobs, and Sage holds him the entire way down to the floor.

Goretober Day 1: Yandere

Apparently there isn't a set standardized goretober list, so I found one I liked made by @rainbowdoggieunicorn. I won't be doing all of them, because that's just not feasible for me, but I'll do at least six!

This isn't very gorey, I'll admit, but I actually drew this a few months back and never posted it. It was mostly an exercise in drawing the same character with different expressions combined with my two-week obsession with the yandere trope

Will I ever do anything else with Sage? Idk. Do I have an idea for her love interest and how they met? Yes, her name is Madeline and she's light academia themed and she is Sage's English tutor

Is it alright to ask what Robin did to your stardew farmer I am so curious-

Oh absolutely! I'd love to talk about it

So really this farmer, named Sage, he's one I partially played towards the tail end of the last time I majorly fixated on Stardew Valley but I didn't play him past like the second year iirc

As a person who's never divorced a partner in stardew or turned their kids into doves, I wondered what the implications of that would be, same with, for example, wiping your ex-spouse's memory

How would the world go on if your ex spouse forgot all about you?

So I wrote a story (it's about 26k words long and unfinished) and it involves Sebastian falling in love with a weirdly pushy farmer (not pushy in the creepy way, that's not something I'd be willing to write), whose name is Sage. This takes place three to five years after the "start" of the game

Later, it's revealed that Sage and Sebastian were married before and had a daughter named Arielle, but Sage divorced Sebastian and wiped his memory and turned their daughter into a dove

Wiping the memory only wipes the memory of the ex-spouse, so Robin has beef with Sage because what Robin saw was Sage breaking her son's heart and their daughter mysteriously disappearing. She DESPISES Sage and doesn't understand why Sebastian continues to hang around Sage even after all he did, unaware that Sebastian is unable to remember anything

He eventually remembers bits and pieces and the story ends with Sebastian in Zuzu city beginning a life away from the valley and away from Sage, as he rightfully should. He wished he listened to his mother at the start and kinda blames himself that he didn't

Sage hates Robin for stepping in the way and trying to keep the pair apart. Sage hates that he can't get Robin to back off. Sebastian sees how much they hate each other and even catches the pair arguing quite a few times but he doesn't try to intervene because the relationship between two other adults isn't his business even if he's friends/family with both parties involved

I wanted to play on the fact that the farmer is always seen as Good TM and potentially a darker more selfish farmer. Sage divorced Sebastian because their marriage was falling apart and he turned Arielle into a dove because, while adopted, that's Sebastian's child, and Sage wanted nothing to do with Sebastian at the time. He later comes to regret this and then tries to re-marry Sebastian, hence the wiping the memory

Sam and Abigail advise Sebastian to stay away from Sage, yeah, but Robin is Sage's biggest enemy when it comes to trying to re-romance Sebastian
