Will there be polls on all your original kwami designs? Do you plan to redesign canon kwamis?

If there are designs I'm struggling with, then yes, I'll do a poll to help decide on the OC kwamis.

And for a majority of canon kwamis, no. A very small number would get tweaks, like Longg getting dragonfly wings as Longg is now a dragonfly kwami (meant to live up to the pun of the animal, kinda like how Tikki references ladybird with her tail feathers), also changing the big horns to be dark/black as in canon they look like party hats and it was just kinda awkward.

Pollen I'd be tempted to change up her eyes. The yellow irises just doesn't work for me as it's too much yellow. I think going blue against dark blue would've been better, and would've expanded her concept art, which I'm certain they changed her original eyes as it wasn't expressive enough.

Lastly, Orikko is the only other I'd really change up, as I think he wound up with an awkward design over all. And kinda boring. Like, have the designers not looked at roosters? They're some pretty colorful and iconic birds.

And this is just showing off a small handful.

I actually did do an edit to Orikko before, work off Rooster Bold and give the kwami some more color, and to explore a beakless option (as honestly, so far beaks I find are kinda awkward on kwamis, we see from Plagg that kwamis can open their mouth pretty big but a beak limits that, plus you got Duusu coming in initially showing no beaks, so I'd rather try and work off that detail Duusu came with design wise for bird kwamis).

So this I'd be tempted to do for Orikko instead.

...And if I was to try and aim with keeping the Og 7 together, then I suppose I could roll with Turtle being more cyan/turquoise. Cause I will say, technically the Miraculous itself is more blue-green than green, so doing that color tweak isn't much of a stretch. I'd probably do a little more green than the edits I did before.

Otherwise there's not much else I'd really change... uh, kwamis that do have black on them are going to be more of an incredibly dark purple (like Pagg and Ziggy, maybe Kaalki unless I go with the more reddish brown).

With Eagle official there is the matter with Liiri, she may be kept for Eagle or maybe she'll get a little tweak and be an Owl instead? But I'm not quite there yet designing wise. I'm more likely to do the Eagle Renling but we'll see.

I’ve made quite a few more for Ghost Bug au, I’m planning on making designs for the Renlings and the Kwamis once we get a better look at them, and I’ve made some new Tangled OCs and updated the look of my old ones.

fei wishes to make her father proud. though she had lost him years ago , she learned a lot from the man who had taken her in , & she feels like she owes him a lot. at first , this had meant revenge to her , but she had realized that was going against everything he had taught her. so now , she’s determined to make a difference wherever she can & also use the powers given to her by the renlings to help people in imminent trouble , knowing that she’ll go as far as putting her own life on the line if necessary.

Magical Beings and their Artifacts

Kwami - Kwamis are spiritual beings that are the creators of the universe, and they are the embodiments of various forces and concepts. Many kwamis have taken an interest in the life on earth, and have taken on the form of an animal to live among them.

There are four kinds of kwamis: Alphas, who are the foundation of the universe; Elementals, embodying the raw elements; Timekeepers, who control the aspects of time; and Deltas, who embody the more intricate aspects of existence.

Each time a new concept comes into being, so does a kwami, making it unknown to humans the exact number of kwamis there are in the universe, though 120 kwamis have chose to dwell on earth, like Plagg the kwami of Destruction.

Miraculous - Miraculouses are a small wearable artifact that acts as the means to bind a kwami to the physical realm, allowing them to have a body and interact with the physical world. One who wears a Miraculous can transform with the kwami if they know the right words, granting them the powers of the kwami's concept.

Due to the interference of the Order of the Guardians, kwamis are now also bound to the orders given to them by the one who holds their Miraculous. This restraining magic has turned several kwamis against humanity.

There are 120 known Miracuouses, with 117 currently on earth.

Renling - Renlings are young spiritual beings that were created by the kwami of Life in tandem with the physical advancements of earth. As such renlings are deeply connected to this planet, and each has an animal and value they have made themselves representatives of. There are thirty-two known renlings on earth, such as Long-Long the Dragon.

Prodigious - Prodigiouses are medallions that allows a mortal being to see and interact with the renlings bound to it. By embodying a trait the renling favors one is able to transform into the animal they represent. There are four known Prodigiouses, each hosting eight renlings.

Kaire - Kaires are guardian spirits created by the kwami of Life. Kaires form strong bonds with people or items, which they will dedicate their existence to protecting. Kairies can guard anything from a location, to a family, to secret knowledge, to a magical item. When a Kaires no longer have a chosen they enter deep period of mourning, and can fade if they don't find a new bond to protect.

All Kaires draw their power from a magical orb that allows them to switch between two forms, their companion form and their champion form. Their companion form is a small kwami-like being shaped like an animal, while their champion form is a much larger and more dangerous being made to fight.

Kaires can be found all around earth, though there six major Kaires that are known as the most powerful of their kind, such as Mei Shi the Lion.

Zealous - Zealouses are orbs of great magical proprieties that give Kairies their power, but that humans can also use to manipulate magic on their own. In order to use this power though but they must earn the favor of the kaires that guard and inhabit them, and become their bond. The most powerful of the Zealous are the twin Soul Gems, which were used to create and shape artifacts like the Miraculouses.

Essent - Essents are primordial energy forces that existed before the universe took shape. Pure energy that often divided into various forms of Positive, Negative, and Neutral energy. They ceased to exist with the birth of the universe from the big bang, where essents divided into what is now known as kwamis.

While divided and changed eons ago, echos of an essent can be reawakened with the mergence of Alpha kwamis. Essents once held no sense of being or self, but when merged they gain the memories of the kwamis they are formed from, giving them a means to hold knowledge and emotions, especially curiosity.

Essents are the most ancient and powerful force out there, yet the most naive. They can alter the universe at will as long as balance is maintained, with what is known as a 'Wish', but they do not fully comprehend what their actions result in. Their understanding of the universe, of other beings, and of right and wrong are of that of a child. There are many different possible mergences that can summon an essent, for example Gimmi being from the mergence of Tikki and Plagg.

Glorious - A Glorious a crystal of pure magic that is created by a temporary fusion of two Miraculouses of Alpha kwamis. This allows the manifestation of the primordial and powerful essent, who can bend the universe to the will of the one who summoned them. There are eight known Miraculouses that can create a Glorious.

Name Origins:

Kwami = quantic + kami (神)

Renling = rèn lǐng (认领/認領) + -ling

Kaire = kai (怪)/yōkai (妖怪) + fairy/pixie/fae.

Essent = from the word "essence".

Miraculous/Prodigious/Zealous/Glorious = Something great and wonderful ending with "-ous".

Can you define Vitaa's Children? Since she is Life itself are all Lifeforms considered her Children?

When talking about "Vitaa's Children", I am talking about any spiritual beings she has purposely created. In canon this would be beings like Mei Shi and Renlings, but I imagine there are many others in the universe.

All living things in the universe do contain a spark of her Life and couldn't exist without her, but the ones she calls children are the ones she has solely created herself.

Physical life is a combination of her and Tikki's powers, and not all of it appeared directly under her control, but fate and evolution took them, so she doesn't call these her children. It is the same with kwamis because she doesn't create them herself, as they come into existence alongside their concept.

Mantis for sure I'll be using a design I've made.

Of the OC bugs I've thought of, she'd be the one sticking. And have the least amount of changes.

And yeah, I won't be using Liiri. She's kinda... boring design wise. I see on the wiki that supposedly she's a harpy eagle, but she looks more bald eagle to me, which makes more sense given this is supposed to be more North American based Miraculous, and I guess this is unAmerican of me, but I think bald eagles are the most boring looking of eagles.

Currently, leaning more for the eagle renling in terms of looks (body would have to be adjusted as well as colors), largely because they make me think of Articuno and that's my fav of the legendary bird trio.

Which, it'll be Eagle next. By how the Bear poll is going, Mantis is going to be set in it's two powers. Then it'll be Deer and lastly, Songbird.

And then for power polls, that's a wrap.

I'll be brainstorming placements for the Bagua set, and eyeballing my list of Miraculous ideas and WIPs and seeing which ideas are best left sticking to canon and what I can do to work with my Miraculous changes, where canon Miraculous set up isn't a must.

I can't say for sure how much ML content I'll do, but currently I am excited to play around with these changes and OC miraculous.

Could you explain Vitaa’s children more in depth?

Vitaa's children refers to any non-kwami spiritual being. They are directly created by Vitaa, and while not as strong as kwamis nor embodying a whole concept they are still powerful in their own right. Many wander the universe as the kwamis did, but a few have also taken an interest in earth itself, or were created near it and haven't left.

Beings like renlings and Mei Shi (whose species I call kaire in my AU) are all considered to be Vitaa's children. In addition to canon I will be adding sixteen OC renlings and four OC kaires to this AU. Two of these kaires will act as guardians for the Soul Gems, much like Mei Shi does for the Prodigious in canon.

I plan on posting later today a list that will go into depth about the various beings and magical items I have in this AU.

Does Shii consider death by old age as the only right form of natural end of a cycle?

Death is very complicated for Shii, and his opinions greatly vary by what point in his existence you're looking at.

Before physical life existed in the universe, the only kind of Death there was was natural passing, such as a death of a star, or of a spiritual being whose concept or force no longer existed, so they could no longer be. It was simply an end, and concepts such as murder and forcefully ending a life did not exist at this time. No kwami, renling, or other being would do or imagine such a thing.

Then once physical life came to be, and by extension hunting and other forms of Death (animals fighting for mates, defending territory, etc), it was something the kwamis had never seen before, and they were very upset by it. And for Shii, whose concept had never represented something violence or horrible before, it was unsettling.

As time has passed though, Shii and the other kwamis have come to accept that Death happens in many forms. Animals will hunt to survive, people will fight to defend themselves, and those are elements that haven't vanished in millions of years of watching life on earth grow and adapt. However ruthless deaths, like murder, is something Shii is still greatly unsettled by.
