In psychology, trauma is divided into type I trauma and type II trauma.

A big difference between the two is: Type I is a one-time trauma, while Type II is a continuous and frequent feeling of being hurt.

And neglecting and depressing parents bring us exactly type II trauma.

Neglecting parents tend to seldom respond positively to their children's emotions and feelings.
